Coffee. Literally the only way I ever get anything done. Today I just wanted to say hi 🙋🏼♀️ to my new followers and introduce myself... Born in Australia – land of the Rainbow Serpent, the Dreamtime, rainforests, billabongs and coral reefs – in the rad 80s when Ken Done doona covers, Golden Gaytimes and Kylie Minogue were hot, I grew up to be a gypsy nomad travelling wherever the tropical breeze takes me. After 2 years travelling Asia, I’m back home. My ‘studio’ is a little cottage in alpine country, surrounded by gum trees, snowy mountains, kookaburras and kangaroos.
With a degree in Art History and Archaeology, I’m fascinated by the mythologies of ancient cultures, fairytales and legends, and often lose myself in nostalgic fantasies of the more recent past – the 60s & 70s. Oh, and I’m a major nerd.
I’m also a bit of a mystic (AKA I believe in magic) and have learnt how to tap into what I can only describe as a ‘sixth sense’ or higher ‘creative source’ through meditation, yoga, divination and other esoteric practices. Call me a witch if you will – but it helps me paint some incredible ‘spirit portraits’ and shows me the way when I need inspiration.
I’m named after Nancy Drew and Alice in Wonderland – so it makes sense that I’m obsessed with children’s books and fantasy worlds. I guess I just have a wild imagination. And I’m perfectly happy to live in it whenever possible. xx

I am most certainly a giggle monster🥰🐶, but every once in a while, I hit a major low point. Most of the last month was a roller coaster of emotions and one thing I relied on to help keep me centered was spending time in a creative space. ✨ Because of creativity, over the years, I’ve learned the importance of honoring uncomfortable emotions like pain and sadness. Often, when I’m going through something difficult, I channel my reflections inward, tap into creativity, and begin a new project. As I work, I allow my emotions to unfold. As they evolve so does the design, each dancing with the other in a calming flow until I feel present and begin to release stress & judgements.
This red jacket emerged during a particularly trying time a few weeks ago and after finishing the last stitch, I stood back & thought how wonderful it is that something so beautiful had come to light from the heavy emotions I had felt hours earlier. When I look at this design, it makes me smile because I know it was birthed out of an emotional human experience, & when I wear it, I feel blanketed in healing thoughts.
I felt like sharing this story because Wild & Free Jewelry began as a way to remind myself that magic & beauty are always near, and to this day, I feel it’s purpose still rests on that sentiment. This path has helped me practice gratitude, forgiveness, and above all else, presence. 🌟❤️✨ Wild & Free has always been more than a “business,” and I’m hoping this year, I can share the story behind the brand in an even more vulnerable and open way with you. ✨ After all, the way I see it, we’re on this journey together ❤️.
Classic rock has always been a music category I come back to. In my burly-heart have decided that I should have a classic rock song in my act rotation. "Double Vision" has been on heavy repeat the last two days and I'm discovering new ways to move my body to this song. What's your favorite classic rock song to dance to? #creativeprocess#sometimesitsmusicfirst

Happy earth day! Did you know that it takes anywhere between 10-50 years for a sea turtle to fully mature and lay it's eggs. This slow reproduction cycle makes the sea turtle species weak to sudden environmental changes such as the sharp increase in bycatch and plastic pollution that has led to it's endangerment #earthday#keepitwild
