UNDOCUMENTED AND UNAFRAID ✊🏽🔥 We rallied and marched for hours outside the Supreme Court of the United States. #DACA recipients presented their arguments and stories to the Supreme Court justices, and undocumented members from our communities filled the audience of the Supreme Court hearing. Our fight is beyond DACA, we are #HereToStay and we will make sure everyone hears our message! #HomeIsHere
Today, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments over the #DACA program from recipents and fellow defenders. The justices must now consider whether or not to shut down the program that has protected 700,000 immigrants from deportation and stay in the United States. During the nearly hour and a half oral arguments, hundreds gathered outside the Supreme Court in support of DACA. A ruling by the justices will likely be issued in the spring of 2020–no later than June. We stand in solidarity with #DREAMers on this fight ✊ 📸 by @refinery29 #DefendDACA#HereToStay

Today, we were at #SCOTUS as they heard oral arguments challenging Trump’s decision to rescind #DACA . As Democrats, we will never stop fighting to give Dreamers the opportunity to succeed and live without fear in the country they call home.
Protect our #dreamers#daca I’ve hosted about a thousand of them at my shows + they are beyond a doubt the smartest, hardest working young people I’ve ever met. Some were going for their masters degrees in Law and Medicine at Ivy league universities!
What was your takeaway from the Supreme Court debates over DACA?
Watching DACA Dreamer’s speak their experience outside the Supreme Court was energizing. Cultures united for one purpose and for all of us. Faces being allocated to every story that spoke out and reached all the other millions that relate to theirs. .
We are pass the point of feeling scared and sorry for ourselves. We are rising united to demand what we’ve rightfully earned. .
Our home , our country, our people. .

“Before I won my case, it seemed like I was far from fulfilling my dreams, but now that I can, I’m going to begin my studies next year, […] and there are many other goals that I now know I will be able to accomplish thanks to all of the people who helped me at CLSEPA.” – Doris.
Organizers from different parts of the country marching for #DACA and #TPS gathered with local residents to watch #StoriesBeyondBorders and make art for the rally on November 12th when the Supreme Court heard the case on DACA
This event was hosted by NAKASEC @nakasec with Dream Project Virginia @dreamprojectva, Define American @defineamerican and Working Films
@pxchiri brought so much inspiration to the stage and gave insight into her personal ambitions using her achievements in communications to further her fight for social justice using her personal story as a #DACA recipient from Peru. We’re going to have to do a stand alone episode one day, because everyone kept referencing her after she left for orchestra practice, a testament to how she touched everyone in the short amount of time we had.

#undocujoy#homeishere - first meal after March and action
it’s a testing time rn with #DACA but the beautiful thing is community and resilience. Seeing everybody coming together was amazing and it’s time to be inspired by #originaldreamers
Also in rough times, the movement comes together most. That’s how DACA came around in first place but it wasn’t inclusive enough (I don’t qualify) so now we push for more #citizenshipforall#abolishice

Did you catch the Democratic Debate last night? I missed it, but what are your thoughts on the candidates thus far?
Don’t forget, be sure to stop IAmIsioma.com to purchase the shirt pictured here or any one of our three other designs!
Disclaimer: this picture is by no means intended to indicate endorsement or support of one candidate over another...I just like hearing what they have to say while they’re on their respective campaign trails.

Alondra, a former arts education intern with Arts @ Large, started her new career as a 2nd grade teacher at Allen Field Elementary this year.
. "Not many know what DACA is...without it, I would not be the 2nd grade teacher I am today. It has opened so many doors for me and one of them is Arts @ Large. I am so thankful for what they have done for me. The feeling when coming through those doors [Arts @ Large Community Center] is like home; warm and loving. Being part of Arts @ Large was a dream come true."

A week ago, we sent a group of 27 delegates to Texas, and 1 to Washington D.C. .
In Texas, we rallied with our coalition from across the Southwest. We grounded our shared values such as “People most affected are at the forefront, our stories are powerful, and we are a part of a global community!” The Supreme has not made a decision around DACA, and we must keep fighting for #DACA recipients and our entire immigrant community. #HomeIsHere

🎉🎉🎉 @eli88ana returned to #LongIsland at the 100th episode of @immigrationmicpodcast the day after standing on the steps of the Supreme Court. She talks about #homeishere , her 18 day, 230 mile march to DC to defend #DACA , and throughout the episode she gives important commentary on the stories and perspectives being shared.
On a personal note — six years ago, Eliana sat in a classroom with me at 8PM every week, and took the chance I offered her to learn to share her story. She is now an inspiration to hundreds of thousands of people across the United States, and is the inspiration behind why I continue doing the podcast. Much admiration to this incredible leader and my personal friend — I’ll be right there beside you like always in what’s next in your story.
Immigration MIC 100 is now available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify — and the LIVE video episode is available in the link in my bio.
The average Latina makes just 54 cents for every $1.00 made by white men. And this gap can’t be explained away by education, experience or life choices -- it exists across all industries. The lifetime cost of the pay gap for Latinas is devastating, costing a Latina more than $1 million over a 40-year career.
I woke up to an early Christmas. I’m honored and humbled about this article, just even being a reality. My story is not uncommon, my story isn’t close to some stories I’ve heard while doing work with @ksmoda_kc or @unitedwedream . The fact that we can get anyone and everyone to listen and to give us time to share our stories is golden. Thanks to everyone who has supported me financially, physically or emotionally. Very special thanks to my mother(whole reason I am here), Bogart, Ambar, @lydiagpalma , @danileh@wing_dez , @irisrgreen@compost_tea There has been a lot of tears she’d up to this point. There has been so much work to get here. I count on hard work to come until I know what #scotus rules on #daca . I will keep my head high and work on my depression. These times have been often confusing, scary, dark and lonely. I ask for you to be there for any #dreamer#daca#poc , those who aren’t eligible for protection and those going through depression. Keep in mind #daca isn’t a #latinx issue, it’s a black & Asian and humanitarian issue too.

Y’all. It was an absolute honor to write this piece about Zaid Renato Consuegra Sauza, a chef who is not only creating an inclusive restaurant, but also taking on the Supreme Court!
I hope you’ll read his story (link in bio), and also to learn more about the significance of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The Supreme Court is currently weighing the fate of 800,000 DACA recipients like Zaid who Trump wants deported, but like millions of undocumented Americans, he is here to stay.
I’m donating all proceeds from this piece to United We Dream’s DACA Renewal Fund, and I invite you to support their important work, too. 📷: @barrettemke
