Typically all of us fathers put everyone else first and ourself last. It’s great and needed in certain situations but eventually it will take its toll and the breakdowns mentally and physically start to occur. If you put your health first whilst still giving your all to your family. Everyone wins. With you strong and healthy you have the ability to be there for them through thick and thin. You also become that role model and guidance for your family to follow, replicate and strive to be like.

You choose. Love each day like it’s your last, do everything you ever wanted and spend every spare second with your kids or get 20 years down the road and be riddled with guilt and regret about what you could be doing today.

I’ve come to love seasons and the excitement of watching the land completely transform. The grass is now well over my head in some areas and the yard is covered in flower buds. We’re moments away from having hundreds of flowers blooming everywhere. I keep having to weed wack our paths just so we can walk through, but it’s growing so fast you can almost stand there and watch it grow. Swipe to see this same shot from 2 months ago>>>>
Supporting ours and our children's mental health is about so much more than talking emotions. Amongst other things our physical activity is so important; movement and play are a vital component to good mental health.
I miss being able to move my body the way I once could; I have had to find new ways to maintain my physical health as best I can.

Dance is a big part of my daughter's life and I'm forever grateful for that. Dance and other sports and disciplines are so much more than a hobby, they create opportunities to socialise, make new friends and keep activity levels up; all so important for our mental well-being.

This kid is just too cute and looked super dapper for his Edison’s Christening! Outfit is just adorable, from @nextofficial
Although baby clothes tend to be a little more pricey from next, they are soo worth it for the quality. The challenge is trying to keep him from spilling something down them! #lookingfly#dapper#toddleroutfit
Apex Rec Center on Funday Sunday! I'm also counting this as part of the #30dayparkchallenge because they had a spacious indoor playground that we got to play in after swimming! The playground was a lot bigger than shown but I got caught up in the excitement and didn't take additional pictures whoops! #momfail 😝
This place was a lot of fun with water slides and a splash pad 😊 if you live in Colorado I suggest it but it does get crowded as the day goes on just fyi 👍
Happy Monday! It’s time to relax and get your best work done. We can’t do good work when we are over stressed. . ☀️ Mindful Monday Relax Tip: purchase an essential oil diffuser and put in your office or common area at school, office, or home! Have fun picking out your fave oils. We love the mix by Now, Cheer Up Buttercup! .
So I haven’t been posting nearly as much these last few months. Life has been, well we will just say “interesting” for now. I’ve been going through a ton or adjustments and changes. During this time I’ve definitely put my health and fitness on the back burner. I haven’t let myself go or gained all my weight back by any means, but have not been as dedicated.
And you know what, that’s ok.
Sometimes life happens and you do the best you can. I’ve had to remind myself to forgive myself and be ok with the fact I’m human. But every day is a new day. It’s a new chance for me to wake up and hit reset.
This morning I hit reset and started my day at the gym. It felt amazing. Here’s to getting 1% better every day and letting your small changes each day compound over time into massive results.
Have a great week everyone. Remember you are valued, loved and chosen!
