I plan to continue my Animal Portraits series, but there’s so many things I need to get done before! The Owl illustration is still waiting for it’s time:( but I couldn’t hold myself from doing one more sketch for this series! Guess what animal it’s going to be?
A close up of the drawing I made for today’s #mermay day 3, The plan for today was finishing the drawing I posted yesterday, but after I got to the library I realized I forgot to put my apple pen in my backpack! So I started a new one,💫
I made this drawing in the dark, when the sun was gone but the stars weren’t yet out. I used a torch to pick the coloured pencils out of my pencil case, and then scribbled in the dark unsure if I was using the right colour because everything looked the same. It was a nice surprise to look at it in the morning!
Good morning! Tried colored inks for the first time. #inktober2019 is going to be a real challenge this year 😄 But it’s fun and I love the unpredictable color effects and the drying edges 🥰 The previous years I used copics for shading. Markers are easier to adjust to for a digital artist than brushes 😊 But I like to use the challenge to test new techniques and to improve.
What mediums will you use this #inktober ?
➡️Another Sketchbook spread – it feels a bit juvenile since drawing skulls is kind of a cliché right? Anyways I explored the use of black and white mixed only with blue colour and it turned out to be something I reallllly like. Almost all of the paintings I made following this use Black/White combined with either red or blue. So it was worth to experiment in this sketchbook.
Salty watercolor artist 😁
I had a couple people reach out and ask if that was salt I was putting on my painting last week and why I was using salt. I've also been looking for an excuse to pick up some fancy salt and experiment😁
September feeling 😊🙄
Can you relate?

New favorite thing to do at breakfast time is watch live cams of bird feeders on YouTube. Makes me miss breakfast at my parents’ house, where you can watch the feeder from the kitchen window.
Do you have a favorite backyard bird? What is it?
