⭕️BENCH PRESS & SHOULDER PAIN⭕️
-
This is a major issue when it comes to bench pressing, and most newbies simply won't figure out this cue by themselves, unless trying and re-trying until "it doesn't hurt anymore". -
Lucky for you, I'm here at rescue. -
The Acromioclavicular Joint pain, which is that chronic pain in the front of your shoulder, is very common for those people who tend to bench press with the bar "sitting" too high on thw way down.
-
The bar bath of a bench press is "an arch" and should always be performed as such. -
Keeping your shoulderblades together, keeping your arms at a relative 75 degree angle, maintaining a proper arch and sticking your chest out, will naturally allow the bar to come down nice and smooth at the nipple height without an issue. -
On the other hand, flaring your elbows out won't allow your shoulderblades to be tucked back in, and that will disengage your pec muscles, putting alot of pressure on your front delts. Reason why you develop chronic pain and you give up free weights for machines. -
Don't be that guy. -
🔥🔥🔥TAG your Monday chest day buddy, and let them know what's up.

In the continuation of the previous post, these are the legs, shoulders and arms compound movements.
Make that most of your training exercises come from compound lifts to involve as much muscle fibers as possible.
These are some key exercises you should not neglect❗️ Which one is your favorite? 👇👇

A lot of people(mostly beginners) are under the false impression that taking protein will somehow make them big and bulky, whereas some others don’t take it becasue they want to build a “natural” body.
-

The truth is that protein is a very important macronutrient for muscle growth and repair, and if you can not reach your daily protein goal from your diet, supplementing with a protein powder is a really simple and convenient way. -

Don’t keep your hopes on this supplement though. If you do not train and eat correctly, protein powder will not make a single difference to your body. It is just a helpful tool to fulfill your daily dietary needs.

Are you using any protein powder?👇👇

  • For me, there is no end of the road when it comes to health and wellness; no final destination.
.
In the past, I always used to think that if I just lost 5lb I’d be happy; if I just made it to the end of the particular programme I was following everything would slot in to place and life would all be ok.
.
However, when I reached the end, I wasn’t any happier and I quickly went back to old habits. Every. Single. Time!
.
The lightbulb moment came when I realised that consistently good enough IS good enough; when I realised it was the journey along the road that was important not the final destination.
.
Now I exercise regularly and nourish my body with good food not to reach a target weight but for my long-term health - both my physical and my mental health.
.
There is no end point with my health and wellness; this is a lifestyle now; a lifestyle that is sustainable far beyond me turning 40.
.
I think my account might be needing a name change 🤔
.
Any ideas?

TRACK YOUR MACROS by @kruckifitness
-
If you want to properly track your calories and macros, you need to get a sense of the caloric content of each macro.
-
Carbs help provide us with energy, and have 4 calories per gram, so if you eat 250g of carbs a day, that contributes 1,000 total calories.
-
Fats help support hormones, and have 9 calories per gram. Fat is the most calorically dense macro, and can be more filling. If you eat 80g fat everyday, that contributes to 720 calories.
-
Protein helps repair the muscles after we workout, and has 4 calories per gram. If you eat 150g protein everyday, that contributes to 600 calories.
-
DON"T FORGET ABOUT ALCOHOL EITHER. Alcohol, in some ways, can be considered a 4th macro. It contains 7 calories per gram. So if you drink 2 drinks (those 2 drinks in this example being 2 1.5 oz shots of vodka), that can come out to around 190 calories. Calories from alcohol can be very sneaky, so make sure to keep that in mind!
-
So let's put all those numbers together: From the examples above, let's say one person one day eats 250g carbs, 80g fat and 150g protein. All that combined comes out to 2,320 calories. 1,000 calories coming from carbs (250g x 4 calories/g), 720 calories coming from fat (80g x 9 calories/g), and 600 calories coming from protein (150g x 4 calories/g).
-
Hope this helps if you're struggling with macro tracking!

  • Spice Cake with Espresso Buttercream
.
(Non-baking news: I got a new job! Which is wonderful and exciting, but it means leaving my faithful taste-testers (and friends) at my old job. ☹️ My coworkers have been the best tasters a baker could ask for- always willing to try something new, never afraid to give their feedback, and never annoyed but the sheer number of things I bake on a weekly basis. 🥰 I made this this cake (and also a pile of cookies, because you gotta stay on brand 💁🏻‍♀️) and brought it into work today for my last day as a thank you for my steadfast recipe-tryer-outers. They also very kindly gifted me with a very generous gift card to buy more baking supplies! 😭Sweet coworkers, I will miss you! ❤️
.
The cake is beautifully spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and cardamom and the buttercream is light and airy and filled with coffee flavor- a very perfect Going Away Cake. Recipe is from @sarah_kieffer’s #vanillabeanbakingbook ❤️)
