  • The massive 8 feet long femur or thighbone from Patagotitan mayorum, found at La Flecha ranch in Patagonia, Argentina. During 18 months of excavation, paleontologist and researchers from the Museum of Paleontology Egidio Feruglio uncovered more than 200 fossils belonged to at least six different individuals. But a bone analysis revealed that the six uncovered Patagotitan mayorum individuals weren't fully grown, suggesting that there are even larger dinosaurs out there waiting to be found.

  • "Kronosaurus's killing method". Kronosaurus is a carnivore that has many long and conical shapes teeth. Kronosaurus teeth are about 7 centimeters long to the largest 30 centimeters. However, their teeth are not as sharp as other pliosaurs. In fact, these teeth are considered blunt. The Kronosaurus method of killing most likely is to shake their prey and crush their skulls with their powerful jaws. Paleontologists have found Kronosaurus bite marks on the skull of Australian plesiosaur, Eromangosaurus which lived at the same time as Kronosaurus.

  • Patagotitan was not larger than Argentinosaurus nor Puertasaurus. The weight-bearing parts of the anterior dorsal vertebrae are larger in diameter in both Argentinosaurus and Puertasaurus than in Patagotitan. Maximum dorsal centrum diameter in Argentinosaurus specimen MCF-PVPH-1 is 60cm. In Puertasaurus it is also 60cm from specimen MPM 10002. In Patagotitan it is 59cm from specimen MPEF-PV 3400/5. Very slightly, but still, Patagotitan is the smallest of the three. The femora of Argentinosaurus are fatter than those of Patagotitan, even at shorter length. The biggest femora of Argentinosaurus are longer, too. The reconstructed femur is estimated at around 2.5 meters long. By comparison, the complete femora from Patagotitan are 2.4 meters long. In 2016, using equations that estimate body mass based on the circumference of the humerus and femur of quadrupedal animals, its weight was estimated at 96.4 tonnes.

  • I have been kind of obsessed with Dinosaurs for many years, I just never bothered to make the effort to learn about them all, until now. I have spent the past year or two reading some amazing information on them. What were their predecesors though?! What was before them? I seem to have read a shocking truth about it! But they were pretty incredible creatures though! My favourite has to be the Brachiosaurus, I have always prefered them. I made a half-hearted attempt to draw some, it is pretty shit though, I am not finished tho :)

  • Incredible #Chinasaur score today! Hit almost all the bases for classic rando scientifically inacurate creatures! Including this weirdo Trynabeasaurus-Wreck. I would usually turn my nose up at a chewed on toy (with hand missing no less!) but I've never seen this Chinasaur before and also he was dirt cheap so worth taking home. #PlasticDinosaurs #dinosaurs

  • Added a bit of watercolor to my Ornithocheirus sketch. This was a quick one, but I’m looking forward to painting this creature again soon.
