Spring window edition 🍃. Filters.... Do you use them? Always stick to the same ones? How important is it to you. It's something I have been pondering over probably because I have been over analysing my own grid. I switch about all the time, often layering 2 filters together. Totally dependant on mood and what colours I see in the picture. Sharing the same pic today but with 2 different looks because in my head this is what worked. ✨

Dragons really do exist! Check out this magnificent 80-meter one wrapped around Buddhist temple, Wat Samphran. The reason it stands at 80 meters is to honour the number of years that Buddha lived. Thanks for the awesome photo @_deepsky
This card proves I didn't forget.
So yeah, maybe you forgot to get a gift but think of this card as your 'Get out of jail free' card for birthdays and anniversaries. You know, the ones that you may have remembered at the very last minute. 😉

Our wee little family spent the day eating croissants, chocolate brownies, listening to the live music, admiring Victorian architecture and the lively buzz around in Melbourne. We played games together after our breakkie in a gorgeous boutique cafe. We also enjoyed silence of each other’s company. We had Vietnamese noodles and Banh Mi for lunch, in a little laneway restaurant.
There were few tantrums over not buying a few toys, but we resolved that easily. Luckily, Neil and Mehul are great companions to travel with. We spend time together. And I spent time wandering alone. My boys understand that I need time on my own to explore, sketch and just be. Which is a huge part of travelling for me. Although, Neil does get sick of me stopping all the time and tells me - No more photos, mummy! 🙄🤭
I hope one day he realises that I actually see through a little peek hole. That’s how I notice beauty. That’s how I experience the books and crannies other people miss or walk past blasé about it.
I edited these on my iPhone. Comment YES below if you’d like a tutorial here on some stage. I will be happy to do that for you. 💜Have you been to Melbourne before? What would you like to do when you have a day or two in a city you love?

Just a few of my favourite things... 🌸Because sharing is caring when you see something this lovely🌸
And all of us with our closed eyes smelled the frangipani blossoms in the big rectangles of open wall, flowers so sweet they conjure up sin or heaven, depending on which way you are headed.

Deeply saddened by the news from Sri Lanka yesterday. Reading and hearing about any act of violence always makes me sad and you can’t help but wonder at the senselessness of it all, but there is an added poignancy when it’s somewhere you know, or have visited, especially when that visit was so recent.
I will never understand, and wouldn’t want to understand, what would lead anyone to believe that this course of action was either justifiable or right.
Hatred is never appeased by hatred in this world. By non-hatred alone is hatred appeased. This is a law eternal.
I’m finally starting to find myself again after a long time. It’s crazy how stress and just feeling over worked can really have an impact in your mood, mental health, and just life in general. But I’m continuing to grow as a person, changing my mind a million times on what I want to do, but dreaming. .
Not really planning scenes/project, and just capturing the moments that I’m in. . .
So hello again;
Im feeling it, I’m feeling myself, I’m feeling the new moments I am sharing with you guys even tho they are very different than when I started this instagram adventure. Luckily this community is beautiful and we are all kind of growing out loud here.
This is us on Easter 🐣

AD - How are you a force for nature?
When @burtsbees asked me this in honour of Earth Month, my initial thought was 'I don't think I am'. I'm not a frontline activist, I still make lazy choices, and as a family I know we could do more. But after more thought, I realised that I was trivialising the changes that we have made and downplaying the actions that we had taken. Yes, these changes and steps can, at times, feel small, even insignificant, but collectively, they *are* still making a difference. So, I know it can feel overwhelming and it's difficult to know where to even begin, but that's exactly what we should all do - begin. And there's no time like the present ☺️. Wherever you are, wherever you go, see the opportunity to lessen your environmental impact and take it.
For us, that's going to be: walking more; a lot more (no more lazy, unnecessary car journeys). Being more mindful when it comes to what we eat and drink. Cooking and baking at home more (I did an online CO2 calculator and our habit of eating out was the largest percentage of our household's carbon footprint). Shopping more sustainably by spending our money locally and buying second hand. Continuing to reduce our waste and plastic consumption, buying what we really need and will use repeatedly. Buy plastic-free when we can and take our reusable shopping bag, coffee cup, straws and water bottle wherever we go. What about you? #EarthDay19#ForceforNature

I dissapeared a while from the internet because I sort of burned myself a bit out. But it’s getting better! 😌🙂✨ Thank you so much for your kind & loving words 🥰🙌💫. Sleep, sunlight & vitamins are my best friends right now. I’ll be back soon. 😘

💕 When I was younger I never much liked Bank Holidays because my Mama & Papa owned a Chip Shop in Skegness so it was a busy busy time for them & we always wanted to be locked away at home to avoid the chaos that the slow walking tourists bought to the town! Days like these though, maybe Bank Holidays aren’t so bad after all??! 💕 Now some #florafairweather Housekeeping, Last call for cardigans this week unless you’ve already spoken to me about Payday & there’s only one Unicorn blanket left in my shop & I can’t guarantee any next week as I have to go to London! Fancy! Anyway, I think I’m going to post more pics this eve because I have a zillion pom poms to now make for the mint blankets in my Stories a sec a go & I just.cant.get.GOING!!!! Gah! Happy Easter little Bunnies! 🐥🍏🐰🌸🌈💕

Very cute brick walled cafe housed in a 19th century graveyard watch house in Bermondsey.
If this isn’t English #housegoals , I honestly don’t know what is! (Nb: note the friendly dog water bowl in the bottom left corner 😹)

I read on QI yesterday that apparently “On average, a child asks 288 questions every day.” Pretty sure we’ve hit that number during lunch today. .
“Mummy, when is our food here?” .
It counts when it’s the same question repeated 288 times right?😂
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
We had a busy week with relatives visiting and done all sorts of London sightseeing...
I had no time at all to post or to hang out over here much (neither on this sofa...) and I must say I missed it... ☺️ Everyone’s feed is full of Easter joy and gorgeous blossoms, Spring is in full bloom and I love it!
Breakfast by the river is quickly turning into one of our favorite things. I got up a bit early this morning and got together our basket. The girls rolled out of bed and put on shoes and sweaters and we were off. It is so peaceful, just us and few dog walkers. We eat and read books, walk by the river collecting rocks and shells, and then play on the empty playground equipment. The world can be hectic and stressful, anxiety inducing if you are like me but when we are here, in this place nothing is scary, all is right. 🌱
This weekend has felt like a recharge for mind and body. We’ve soaked in as much sun (safely - wear sunscreen kids) as possible, ate good food, celebrated a wedding with family and ended it taking in the wonders of our own garden. We’ve wanted our own little outside space for so long it still feels a novelty to have a little corner of grass that belongs to us. I’m not ready to say goodbye to this tranquil feeling or beautiful weather, sadly all good things must end. But hey, only a few weeks until the next bank holiday! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Tuesday can wait, there’s still a few drops to squeeze from a long weekend. One that will be consigned to the memory banks as the ‘sunniest’ and ‘springiest’ of bank holidays to date.
Let’s keep the blossom love going here on social media. I couldn’t resist sharing these with you all because the light when we went to @wroclaw botanical gardens was literally dancing on the petals. A perfect reminder to be in the moment and appreciate what we see. Soon it will be gone. Our lives gallop ahead sometimes and we miss the highlights, the beauty in simplicity. I can be guilty of this often, and am on a mission to keep reminding myself to ‘slow the f£&k down’ ... unless I’m running late, which is often 😬🙄. I hope you are enjoying this perfect season of spring and all the positive vibes that accompany it. #mindfullife#hyggelife#inspirelife#wabisabi#positiveaging#sparkjoy#littlestoriesofmylife#livethelittlethings#overfifty#stylingtheseasons
After a whirlwind weekend of last markets and moving out of our house I'm feeling slightly wiped😴 Thank you for shopping hard & sending me out with much less inventory to pack up!
I'm settling into my current space this week and will be starting a couple of custom knits and updating the website a bit💋 If you've messaged me recently thanks for your patience! I'm hitting my emails and DMs throughout the week. Also! There are a few knits on SUPER SALE in the webshop👊🏼 These are discontinued last chance items so please snap em up!
Next stop Savannah, GA! Our Tacoma house goes on the market in a couple of weeks and we hit the road shortly after that🥰 Have you guys been to Savannah? Anything I should check out first? I'm excited to get to my new city!

Last night, I sat down and thought about what I’ve been telling myself I *should* do, and the pressure I’ve been placing on myself. And then I paused and thought of the things that I really *want* to do and haven’t been. I’m especially thinking about this during Kathrin’s (@manifestationbabe’s) challenge + teachings on how to manifest daily and learn. .
I think it’s good to let go of expectations we place on ourselves just “because,” and focus in on what our heart is telling us to do. Where our passions lie. I never wanted to be an author or writer who works because I *should*, and that’s kind of what I’ve been guilty of. I need to remember to get back to basics and to doing what I love because I love it.
What’s something you do out of love? #iammb2019
