My sweet boy turned 6 MONTHS last week and somehow it passed me by.... probably because of the lack of sleep. He’s giving me dementia at the age of 28. BUT HOW COULD YOU BE MAD AT THAT FACE?! He’s for sure going to be super entitled and get everything he wants 🤪😍.
Word of the day : BASIC.

We’ve been up since 3am but nothing is holding this guy back from smiling. Just found out what’s been bothering him— an ear infection, and shockingly he’s the first out of our five kiddos to get one. I’ll be taking advantage of the time off today and tackling that laundry I still need to fold from last week. It’s never ending guys. 😅
Toasting the end of one chapter and the start of a new exciting one.
After over a decade of working in traditional employment, today I handed back my laptop and said farewell to office life. I’ve had some brilliant experiences in my career so far - learning the ropes at marketing agencies, working for some of the biggest global brands, like Disney and Hallmark, and managing a totally dreamy team at a tech start up for the last few years.
I’ve learnt loads, met some brilliant people who will be pals for life, and spent so much time on the train up and down to London that the trainguards have started recognising me. But it’s time for a new adventure! From now on I’ll be running my coaching business full time, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
I’m so looking forward to this next chapter. I know that being my own boss will come with its own unique set of challenges, but honestly? I’m so ready for them. My brain is fizzing with ideas and I’ve already got some very exciting plans in the pipeline.
But first? First I’m gonna deal with that small task of turning 30 tomorrow, and celebrating in style with my husband this weekend. No point doing things by halves, right?!
I’ve spoken about self care many times. In particular, post partum self care. But what about every day self care? What do we all need to really feel good, inside and out? No matter what our surroundings are, we have to feed our soul, drink water, eat well and in my world, surround myself with houseplants.
My soul requires a bit of Bible time every day. My body requires way too much water, a bit of movement and a wide variety of nutrients. These things aren’t easy keep up on, whether you have no kids, or 10.
For some odd reason, there’s a rebel in me that says “Screw water. Eat a cookie. You don’t have time to read”. I have listened to that voice often. It is the one that produces anxiety and unhealthy habits. I have recently experienced what it feels like to push against that voice and do what I normally wouldn’t. Let me tell you, it feels good. Getting my body moving and eating well was the start to everything. My energy level is 10x what it was, and it all snowballed into the best form of me I have seen in a long time.
That being said, I have MUCH I need to work on still. All the folks I know who got this memo a long time ago, I get it now. You’ve been living the better side of life.
80/100. I’ve had visions of capturing this photo for months now. I knew I had to get it attempted while this belly was still big. Sharing some behind the scenes of how I took this photo over on stories today!⠀
Throwback to last week's Autumn Walk. Arya spotted a huge pile of leaves and jumped straight in 😂🍁 she really is such a free spirit. I just adore watching her 🍂
Today I have been hibernating inside though, as it hasn't stopped raining.. I am not feeling this rain 😂☔ although, Nathan had to do PT in the rain and flooding, so that made me laugh 😏🤣 Now to relax for the evening and start my new blog post.
What are your plans for this cosy evening? 🍁
"Parys Mountain, an open copper mine that dates back to the Bronze Age.
The site was most active in the late 18th century, and at that time for the British was the main source of copper. The mine even played a part in Nelson’s Battle of Trafalgar victory, where the British ships had an advantage with their hulls protected with copper from the Parys Mountain.
I find it so helpful to do regular check-ins to see how things are going internally and logistically in my life. Have you ever done this before?
It can be as simple as putting a reminder in your phone for a specific day every month to have a small check-in. Ask yourself how you're feeling, what's working and what's not, what could take some improvement or extra attention -- get a game plan from those questions.
Set a reminder on your phone right now that can reoccur every month for your monthly check-in dates. Pour a cup of tea, have a notebook handy, and see what comes from it.

~While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.💛
For years it’s been our tradition to go to a tree farm to find our Christmas tree. But the past two years, we have picked the WORST trees! They lost all their needles and were such a mess.🤦🏻♀️ Honestly, I was not looking forward to putting another one this year. My son kept saying, we should get a rainbow tree, (you know, the ones with the colorful lights that they sell at Costco)☺️.
So we ended up getting one along with some new ornaments that they picked out themselves. As much as I like to wait until after Thanksgiving to start decorating, we set up our new, beautiful 🌈 tree last night. My littles were so giddy decorating it. Laughter filled our living room and it was the most precious thing I think I’ve ever seen. It reminded me to slow down and bottle up all these moments while my children are so little and innocent. To not rush things. To find the joy in this season because at the end of day, no one cares if our tree looks like something from Pinterest or if our house is perfectly decorated. What matters is spending time doing things together as a family, making sweet memories and even starting some new traditions❤️.
How about you? Are you #teamreal or #teamfake ⁉️Is your tree up or are you waiting till after Thanksgiving to put it up? 🎄❄️ #thankfulthursday#findthejoy#tistheseasontobejolly 🎅
