  • To ja Benio, szczeniak z OLXa, zjadłem starej białego sofixa. To świetna zabawa i super sprawa, jeszcze tutaj wrócę i zadymę podrzucę, a tymczasem lecę i przewracam świece 😎 ~ Benjamin Franklin #doggy #puppy #puppylove #dog #dogtraining #adopt #lovely #cute #blacknose #instagood #instapuppy #psieprzedszkole

  • What am I snacking on tonight? @purina’s Rib Hide of course! These treats are super tasty, cute, and they keep me occupied for at least 30 minutes (a mom-favorite)! 😋🐶 What’s your favorite treat??

  • A little late, but here is Jade’s before and after leash training video!

She was a puller, but not the strongest puller we’ve had to deal with.
Despite the fact, she still had no attention on the human, zig zagging everywhere, and sniffing every little thing.

Jade understood leash work very quickly!

While finishing up leash training practice, I noticed that Jade couldn’t pass by a certain area.

She was afraid of the palm tree and the noises that it made.

SO..we practiced walking back and forth and all around that darn palm tree.

After a few practices, she wasn’t afraid of it anymore.

Throughout her time here, we’re going to focus a lot on her socialization and desensitization. She’s very fearful of many things, especially unusual stuff.

We’re just getting started miss Jade! #PawbyPaw

  • First Heel / Let’s go training session with Leonardo. He went from leash-puller to the heel-king in 15 minutes by communicating a consistent and clear message via the command and shaping what was expected until he got the idea. This is what training is, teaching and conditioning something to achieve a long term goal or to fix a problem.

  • Here’s what we’re packing for our walk along the river! Let’s be real, along the Detroit river we got geese, geese poop, dead fish, other dogs, other humans ETC. I want Cato to have loose leash freedom and enjoy his adventure but I also want Cato to have a reliable recall. This means that the reward I give Cato when he chooses me over the distractions in his environment better be worth it! Don’t forget that the treats you use need to compete with the level of stimuli your dog is experiencing. AND YES high-value treats should be used when your dog is learning new things AND YES high-value treats should be used if your dog is being reactive in order to desensitize them to the trigger and help them re-focus on you AND YES high-value treats should be used if you think your dog is being “stubborn” because really, you need to up your game! #dogtraining #dogtrainingtips #forcefreetraining #positivereinforcement

  • Boo has a new best friend! Puppy training client Leonardo is here for the first 2 weeks of his 4 week board & train program. Here they are blowing off steam after a structured walk between them to teach a work/play balance. This is so he doesn’t have only a one track mind towards other dogs which leads to every imaginable dog-related issue and lack of listening when distracted. Too many people only socialize their puppies in “play mode“ and then they don’t know how to turn it off, listen to commands when distracted, and can develop leash reactivity as they mature.
