Have you ever met someone, or maybe you’re living with someone who doesn’t support you?
I hope not, but I actually know somebody with this problem.🤯
Firstly I want to help you become closer to three situations:
You want to get into you dream university. Basically you’re doing very hard to get in. However, your boyfriend, instead of supporting you, he’s telling you how terribly hard it's to get there. He shows you a whole palette of flaws and tries to discourage you.😳
Or maybe you plan to open a business, but your husband, an experienced economist, easily burns your ambitions. He tries to get you to think realistically about your future. And by the way takes you down.🤔
Maybe your mother, when she sees you sweating after training, asks you a question: ”Why are you wasting your breath?”🤦🏻♀️
(one think more, it doesn’t mean those people don’t love you. I’m sure they do. I cite these situations which is easier for us to understand)
The fact that others don’t want to, or they don’t succeed, or simply don’t have the courage to reach as high as you do, doesn’t mean you can’t. On the contrary, you can do it, because you have an immense amount of energy that people in your environment miss.
People who are demotivating others, are weak people. They lack much. They don’t accept themselves, they lack the confidence, they clearly have some major self-esteem issues. Do you want let them get the win? Don’t take yourself out of the running before you even start! Fight for your dreams! Climb above yourself up. Show them that they are wrong! Prove yourself that you influence your life. It's all yours. Just do it!

Last night’s dinner and today’s lunch! I love cooking elaborate meals, and I wish I had more time to. This meal was actually pretty simple to make (a lot of cooking in pots) and didn’t require a large amount of dishes to be done after (which you know is a huge thing for me). I’m definitely looking forward to the carrot cake muffins I made too when I get home. Happy Monday and Earth Day! I’ll share some Earth day things on my stories later ✨
. #dEATs : chickpea “bread” crumb trout + maple cooked carrots + garlic butter green beans + mashed sweet potatoes
To make mashed sweet potatoes:
1. Boil 3-4 medium sized sweet potatoes (1 sweet potato = about 1 serving of mash) for 40-50 min. I cut mine in halves or thirds to reduce cooking time.
2. Drain water and transfer sweet potatoes to bowl. Remove skin (I find it easier to take the skin off after boiling... I also don’t own a potato peeler so here we are) and mash (I used a fork because again... don’t own a masher but we work with what we got!)
3. Transfer mashed potatoes back to pot on low heat. Add 1/4 cup milk of choice (I did almond) and 1/2 tbsp maple syrup per potato used. Add for milk/syrup for softer/sweeter mash.

Time for me to up my baking game, starting with these Chickpea Tahini Blondie Bars 🤤 lemme tell you even though they almost fell apart in my hand they were so freakin good! And they’re low in added sugar (subbed some mashed banana in) & PACKED with fiber (almost 6 grams per bar). I know I know, everyone’s all like “if you’re craving a blondie then you should just give in to your cravings & eat the real thing”. But this girl has a wicked sweet tooth so I HAVE to make some of my sweet treats a little healthier & there’s nothing wrong with that either☝️👊
👉Vegan chickpea tahini blondie bars: 1 can no salt added chickpeas(rinses & drained) + 1/2 cup @soomfoods tahini + 1 medium extra-ripe banana + 1/4 cup maple syrup + 1/2 Tbsp vanilla + 1/4 tsp each baking soda & powder + 1/4 tsp salt. Put everything in a blender & blend until smooth. Fold in 1/3 cup @lilys_sweets_chocolate keto chocolate chips. Bake @350 for 22-25 min. Let cool before cutting.

Plant Based Chocolate Donuts 😍 These mini donuts are made with only a few ingredients, ready in 15 minutes, and topped with an easy 2 ingredient icing 🙌🏻 Used @birchbenders plant based pancake mix, added a few extras to it, and put the batter in my mini donut pans 👌🏻 -
Is there anything more satisfying than enjoying a donut? Truly no better hump day breakfast to get you through that midweek slump 💯 I love making donuts but whenever I don’t use a mix, they turn out disastrous 😂😅 So my go to is using a pancake mix I like, adding some cinnamon and baking powder to them, and then they’re good to go 😎 Topped these with a chocolate icing made from @happydaybrands chocolate chips + coconut oil then sprinkled pink Himalayan salt on top because salty + sweet is always the way to go 😉 Getting an @orangetheory workout in this morning and these were definitely the best fuel 💯 Happy Wednesday!! 💓 -
- #healthybreakfast details 👉🏻 Donut recipe: preheat oven to 350F. In a bowl, add 1 cup @birchbenders plant based pancake mix + 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk + 1 tsp cinnamon + 1/2 tsp baking powder. Spray a mini donut pan with nonstick spray or take some coconut oil and rub it on. Add the batter to the pan, fill it almost all the way up because they don’t rise a ton. Bake for 15-17 minutes. Let cool before adding the chocolate topping which is: 1/2 cup @happydaybrands vegan chocolate chips + 1/2 tbsp coconut oil. Melt for 15 seconds, stir, and continue until all the way melted. Top the donuts with the icing and sprinkle pink Himalayan salt on top. you can eat them or put in the fridge to let the chocolate harden. Either way enjoy a few 😎 #plantbased#easyrecipes#eeeeeats

How Do I Cope With Being 'Normal'?⠀
What a week! In the last 7 days I have done 3 photoshoots, 2 birthdays, 1 road trip, 3 breakfasts and 5 dinners out.⠀
📈 Did I track? For the majority no - I have tracked on the days when I have been in routine, and not tracked on the times I have been away or eaten out. ⠀
🍔 Did I binge? No .. but I ate food I wouldn't usually eat and drank more alcohol than I have in the past 12 months. ⠀
💪🏻 Did I train? For the majority no - this week was a deload week so only had 3 full body sessions to complete.⠀
👣Did I hit my steps: Yes, but only as a secondary result of going on walks for fun, not as a necessity. ⠀
🏆Did I stay on track with my goals? Absolutely. Because they weren't to stick with my diet, or smash out training or even to maintain body comp. It was to give my mind and body a few days from tracking and ticking off my to do list. Not because I felt I desperately needed it - far from it - but because sometimes other things in life need to take priority and I need reminding of that. ⠀
It wouldn't have been hard for me to track if II had wanted to. The challenge was switching my mindset to letting downtime and bonding with friends my priority instead. Because if I had chosen to track, or be super strict, it would take away from the whole experience. 😓⠀
Is it easy for me to make this switch? To start with no. It takes me a while to let go for sure. But I have regretted missing so many opportunities in the past I have vowed to myself never to do this again. 👍🏻⠀
So now I chose to take a relaxed approach. That doesn't mean I did nothing - I still trained and tracked on the days I could, I still walked and was conscious of the foods I ate. But I also didn't eat differently to everyone else or was constantly on my app inputting foods. 💁🏼⠀
Would this approach work for you? Maybe, maybe not. It all depends on what your goals, mindset and mental history are like. For some that might be saying 'no' more - for others saying 'yes'. ⠀
For me I have finished this week with new memories, and damn proud of myself for saying yes and finally learning to let go. ✨⠀

WHAT I EAT IN A DAY ➡️ during an IF 16:8 day + I also trained at the gym. -
I had my usual cup of ☕ @nescafe.dolce.gusto.ch before leaving home for work and a glass of water with some pure 🍋 juice. -
🌱M1: I broke my IF around 11.40am and I had a medium 🍌 and a small slice of my mom's delicious chocolate cake (aka the brownie cake😍) with a fennel infusion🍵
🌱M2: after gym I had 4 mais thin cakes topped with fat free quark + 80g natural tuna -
🌱M3: 5 soja-figue biscuits topped with fat free natural yoghurt + fennel infusion -
🌱M4: @iseyskyr vanilla flavour , my fav! -
🌱M5: vegan burger + a slice of Italian salame+ steamed broccoli seasoned with nutritional yeast and sriracha + mixed green salad
I didn't eat any other snacks since I wasn't very hungry 😪 .. sometimes we just have to listen to our bodies😊

That’s how much I love hummus. #tbt to this creamy Cilantro Cumin Hummus I made few months back.
Cilantro Cumin Hummus
2 cups of cooked chickpeas or used canned
1/2 cup good quality tahini. I used @seedsofcollaboration tahini
Juice of one lemon
2 -3 cloves of fresh garlic ( or more of you like more garlicky taste)
Handful of cilantro chopped in small pieces
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/3 filtered water
Blend all the ingredients in the @vitamix or high speed blender until smooth for about 5 min scrapping the sides of the blender. Serve hummus in a shallow plate. Drizzle with some olive oil (optional), top it with olives, tomatoes, herbs and sweet peppers. Enjoy! #hummus#hummusrecipe#homemade#naturallyzuzu

2. This quote leaves no room for excuses.
Stop making excuses! The time will never be right, you will never be less busy, and you will always be nervous to start something new. What is it that you want to do but you never did because you’re scared of the unknown, you think you can’t do it, you don’t have time etc.? JUST DO IT.
I love to look back at my life and wonder what direction it would have gone in had I not changed my lifestyle. I am forever thankful I took the plunge and started my health and fitness journey that I honestly NEVER thought I could do.
Maybe for you it’s a new job/career path, a new financial journey, a health/fitness journey, or training for a marathon. Whatever it is...stop making excuses. Just do it. Just start! If you never start and look back on your life 10 years from now, will you regret not ever starting and going after what you want?!
You’re bacon me crazy 🥓 It makes everything better amiright? Honey mustard glazed bacon wrapped chicken... it will wake up your taste buds. I also tried a new recipe from my new fixate cookbook... red potato mash! So healthy and delicious!!!! Whuuuuttt 🤤 📌Save for later.
Bacon wrapped Chicken Breast
Prep and Cool time: 10 mins
Cook time: 25 mins
Total time: 35 mins
Yield: 4 servings
Olive oil or Coconut oil spray
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons raw honey
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, 6 oz each
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
8 strips bacon (I like @applegate bacon or turkey bacon)
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Line a roasting pan with foil and fit it with a roasting rack. Spray the roasting rack with olive oil.
In a small bowl, whisk the mustard and honey. Divide into two portions. Set aside.
Sprinkle the chicken breasts with the seasonings. Wrap each chicken breast with 2 strips of bacon.
Place the wrapped chicken breasts on the prepared roasting rack. Brush them with half the mustard-honey sauce.
Bake the chicken breasts for 20-30 minutes, depending on their size, until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
Switch the oven to broil and broil the chicken breasts 1-2 minutes on each side, to crisp up the bacon. Brush with the remaining sauce if desired. •

So I want to try out this new way of sharing my workout videos. No it doesn’t have music and the quality isn’t as good as normal. It’s because I want to be able to put out workouts more often! Before, I was using my nice camera, focusing on being in frame & focus instead of my actual workout, having to put the video clips on my computer, send them to my phone, edit them all together, find non copyrighted music then split every single clip into different videos to post.. yeah.. it was just not a good time and I didn’t really like making them! Not complaining, I would happily do it but if this means i can most them more then why not! Buttery shrimp, crispy asparagus, and a huge baked sweet potato 🍠 Nothing fancy over here but I’ve really been loving simple meals lately 😌 Kinda been in a food rut lately so easy meals like this have been a life saver 🙌🏻 -
Food ruts are so real- like that feeling of being hungry but nothing really sounds that good 🤷🏼♀️ Whenever I get into that funk, I use easy recipes that never disappoint 😎 I try to still structure my meals with a protein, carb, veggie, and healthy fat but you know some meals meet those standards better than others 😜 I’m thinking this just means I need to head to Pinterest and get some new recipe inspo- another good go to in a food rut 💯 I kept the flavor really simple on this shrimp and it hit the spot 🙌🏻 Sautéed then in some ghee and that’s it 👌🏻 I’m solo this evening while Eli’s got a ton of school stuff so I’m meeting a friend for a walk with the pups 🐶 and then wedding crafting and wine 😉 Have a great evening friends!! ❤️ -
- #healthyfood 👉🏻 Sautéed shrimp over medium heat in @farmtrue ghee for about 8 minutes. Baked the asparagus for 15 mins at 400F for 15 mins sprinkled with @traderjoes everyday seasoning. Reheated a baked sweet potato in the oven along with the asparagus for maybe 5 minutes #paleo#eeeeeats#eatwell

Whether you are posting on Instagram to show your best or worst sides, talking to a friend or at home alone, you’ve decided to think the way you are thinking and act the way you are acting. The choice to lose control in one’s own thoughts is...a choice.
That big ole organ between your ears is controlled by you, it doesn’t control you. The words other people say about you or to you doesn’t effect that organ, it doesn’t effect you, UNLESS YOU GIVE THEM PERMISSION TOO.
The stories you tell yourself are a mashup of what you perceive of yourself, what you think others perceive of you and what others have told you.
Don’t believe me? I suffered from suicidal thoughts years ago, had been taking medication after medication talking to all the “experts”. I blamed abusive relationships, the car accident, the pain. I chose to let my thoughts run my life instead of running my own thoughts.
I didn’t realize I had that power until I actually put in the work to exercise the right to my own brain/thoughts. This consisted of therapy, journaling, mindset coaching, mindset work, meditation, LOTS of self assessing, lots of failing.
FYI: yes I still have days I lose control and breakdown and give in. I still have days I believe I was the victim. This is a life long journey and practice, but it’s time we practice it more to become the best possible versions of ourselves.
