  • the HIGHLY requested kale caesar. #plantbased of course. 🌿 if you’ve been following me for awhile, then you’ll know by now that when i’m cooking, i rarely measure out anything. however, since my DM’s were FLOODED asking for this recipe, i’m going to do my best to relay it to you. 💕 what you will need is:
• kale
• tahini
• 1 can of chickpeas
• garlic
• coconut aminos
• lemon 🍋
• choice of herbs + spices
• high powered blender (i use a @vitamix or a food processor)
chop kale and set it aside. depending on how much dressing your making (it keeps for about a week in the fridge) that will determine how much tahini you’ll want to use. i scooped about 3 heaped spoonfuls into the blender, added in three cloves of garlic, probably a 1/4 tbs of coconut aminos, a 1/4 of the can of chickpeas, salt + pepper & the juice of one lemon. blend! 🌪 if the consistency is too thick add in water. then massage the dressing into the kale. this also aids in digestion! as for the rest of the chickpeas, you can either roast them in the oven with your favorite herbs and spices or slightly sauté them on the stovetop. for mine, i seasoned them with paprika, garlic and cayenne. 😋 let me know if you make it! #highvibineats

  • LOADED GF COOKIES 🍪 These beauties are packed with cashews, walnuts, dates, chocolate and coconut chips. Literally couldn’t decide what to add, so I did it all! Kinda like a kitchen sink or trailmix cookie (if you will) and they turned out 💯 I used a ton of @inspiredorganics staples for these! Stay tuned to my stories today for the video tutorial on how I made these and in the meantime, I’ve included the recipe below. Enjoy! Happy hump day ♥️ .
.
.
#recipe
▪️1/2 C GF rolled oats
▪️1/2 C GF oat flour
▪️1/4 tsp cinnamon
▪️1 cage free egg @inspiredorganics
▪️2 tbsp melted coconut oil @inspiredorganics
▪️1/4 C wildflower honey @inspiredorganics ▪️1 tsp vanilla ▪️1/3 C creamy almond butter
▪️1 C chopped up “add ins” - @inspiredorganics dates, walnuts, cashews, coconut chips + dairy free chocolate chunks .
.
Preheat oven to 350. Combine rolled oats, oat flour, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl and set aside. In another bowl, add egg, melted coconut oil, honey, vanilla, and almond butter. Mix well with a hand mixer. Add in flour mix and combine well. Lastly, toss in your add ins and mix well with a big spoon or spatula. Place cookie dough in fridge for at least 30 minutes. This helps the cookies keep their shape when baking. Spoon into circles and bake for 15 minutes. .

  • AVOCADO BROWNIES... trust me 😂 these are pillowy, yet fudgey when you bite them and no one would ever guess they are made with avos! I promise! Chocolate lovers.. you’re going to want to save this one 🍫♥️ full recipe below and on the blog! .
.
wishing everyone an amazing Friday from Canada 🇨🇦 if you need me I’ll be spamming my stories with videos of my niece 🥰 #eatwellwithsari #friday #brownies #glutenfree .
.
.
#recipe ▪️1 Large Very Ripe Avocado ▪️½ cup Maple Syrup ▪️½ cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce ▪️3 Eggs ▪️1 tsp Vanilla Extract ▪️½ cup Almond Flour ▪️½ cup Dutch Pressed Cocoa Powder
▪️1 tsp Baking Soda ▪️Optional - 1 scoop chocolate protein powder or collagen peptides (both work great)
▪️pinch of salt
▪️½ cup Dairy Free Chocolate Chip .
.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mash ripe avocado very well. I use a potato masher on a plastic cutting mat. Make sure to get out as many chunks!
3. Mix wet ingredients in a large bowl with a hand mixer (or in a stand mixer).
4. Mix in dry ingredients. Make sure all the ingredients are well blended. Add in chocolate chips.
5. Spray a brownie tin with coconut oil spray and add in the batter evenly. I use one with individual brownie sections (similar to a muffin tin - you can get it on Amazon).
NOTE: A regular pan will also work, but you may have to bake it for another 5 to 10 minutes.
6. Bake for 20 minutes. Add time if you used a regular brownie tin instead of the individual ones. Let cool for 10 minutes.

  • the only thing I meal prepped this week was banana bread 💛 I love having theses little breads on hand to snack on and for Jacob to take to the hospital. I’m not the biggest “prepper” bc I like to cook in the moment, so for me it usually looks like healthy baked goods, pre-chopping vegetables for salads and dinners, soft boiling eggs and making sure I have enough nespresso pods to get me through the week 😊️ just little things that save me time! What’s your go to thing to meal prep? Ps recipe for my FAVE banana bread is below 👇🏻👇🏻and on eatwellwithsari.com ❤️ happy MONDAY! .

  • I am choosing good vibes today 💕 In the last week or so I have been told via IG trolls that: I am not skinny enough for how much I exercise, that the food I show on here is going to cause people to get diabetes, no one will make “progress” if they eat like me me, if I want to be healthy I should loose weight, I eat like a pig and I’ll never be skinny.... it gets worse, but ill leave it at that. My point is - it’s ridiculous and I don’t believe one word of it. Don’t worry! Just sad sad trolls. I promise to always keep it positive and real with you guys. So many of you share such kind, inspiring words with me daily and I am so so grateful for that. I want to thank you for it from the bottom of my heart 💜 Starting this week off on a good note because that’s what I am about AND yummy loaded salads, of course. Happy Monday all! 🥰 .

DEATS: gem greens, peppers, tomato, cucumber, feta, olives, @traderjoes high protein veggie burger and @inspiredorganic caramelized onion. Topped it off with olive oil, balsamic, salt and pepper.

  • I had to give myself a pep talk last night. Some days I feel on top of the world and others I feel super small. I am very grateful that I can do what I am passionate about every single day, but that doesn’t mean it comes easy. The hustle can be lonely, isolating and scary. The feeling of not doing enough or keeping up is hard to avoid. There is no beginning and end, it’s constant. It’s hard to shut off. I know life seems all glamorous when you work for yourself, but it’s honestly very hard sometimes. There is so much more than what you see on IG. Last night, all these thoughts were going through my mind and I wrote down the following. I hope these reminders help you too if you can relate to all of this: •
🧡 Look back at how far you have come and be proud. Progress needs to be recognized. Would the version of you one year ago be proud? (Yes!)
•
🧡 Things don’t happen overnight. Be patient with your goals. •
🧡 Everything that goes up must come down. Ride the highs and nurture the lows. It’s part of business and life. •
🧡 You are still learning, be kind to yourself. •
🧡 You are not alone. •
🧡 Embrace the small things that bring you joy and focus on one thing at a time. •
🧡 You can make today great. •
s/o to all the girl bosses out there, male bosses out there and everyone who’s working hard to make their dreams happen. I know it’s not easy. Sending love 💕 #wegotthis #eatwellwithsari .

  • I get a lot of questions about my skin and the truth is that it always been pretty clear, even throughout my teens! The thing I struggle with is dryness and those invisible bumps. Sometimes it hurts to smile because it get’s so dry around my chin. It’s not something you can really see, but it is for sure uncomfortable. Especially in the winter! .
.
For the past month and a half I have been using the products from @banishacnescars starter kit, and honestly I have been loving it. I‘ve become obsessed with their Pumpkin Enzyme Masque, Vitamin C Beauty Elixir spray and Banish Oil for intense moisture (need it!). If I apply at night, I wake up with my skin still feeling super hydrated 💦 This has been so helpful for me with all my travel on planes and recent experience with bad makeup drying out my face hardcore! Do you struggle with dry skin too? What do you do?.
.
I hope everyone has a great Friday! I’m off to the #matchday2019 ceremony this morn. Stay tuned for where we’re moving in June 😬😬😬! #eatwellwithsari #banishacnescars #skincare #partner #veganbeauty #crueltyfree

Sometimes I can’t help but have more than one and that’s totally ok☺️ Full recipe is below and on the blog. Happy baking #eatwellwithsari .

  • Anyone else actually like the #instagramblackout2019 🙃 ?? It forced me to take a break, which I totally needed and should do more often. Anyways, I’m back with my fave LEMON CHIA BLUEBERRY muffins 🍋 I personally love having fresh, healthier baked goods around the house to snack on. Sometimes I can’t help but have more than one and that’s totally ok☺️ Full recipe is below and on the blog. Happy baking #eatwellwithsari .

  • My face when I found hot, savory food yesterday at expo.. literally I was 95% snack 🤩 these @daiyafoods plant based burritos literally came hot off the press 🌯 and were one of my #ExpoWest faves! You know I’m a huge fan of their newly formulated melty “cheeze” so this hit the spot 🤗 especially the Tuscan one. Be sure to look out for these! Hope everyone’s having an amazing start to their Saturday ♥️ I’m taking it easy today and hoping getting to the ocean 🌊 pretty much cannot feel my legs after the last 2 days.. but so worth it! I think I did well for a first timer! More deets from the show coming in a blog post ♥️

  • 2 feet of snow, fresh powder, epic views, the most freeing feeling in the world, and of course SORE QUADS! That pretty much sums up my trip to Snowmass. I was hesitant to ski again after taking a break after all those years, but I picked it right up and honestly fell back in love. I actually found it very therapeutic. You have to be super present when skiing, not only for safely, but because you can only take on what is immediately in front of you on the mountain. It’s such a liberating feeling. Plus, being in the mountains is good for my soul ☺️🏔 ps : this run is called “coffee pot” and it’s fave... obvs 💫 anyways off to Denver today and then to Cali tomorrow for #ExpoWest2019 - but until then I’m sneaking in a few more runs! I’m curious, do you guys ski? Who else loves these mountains?♥️ .

  • you know what’s CRAZY? In the past 3 months I have been on over 15 flights! Being on the move and traveling has just become way of life for me and I am extremely grateful for it. Visiting family, weddings, weekend getaways or business - I just always find myself jetting off. To be honest, it sometimes stressed me out a lot because it requires a TON of planning ahead with my job, but it brings me so much joy at the same time. In time, I have learned to navigate how to maintain my healthy lifestyle among all the travel! Today on the blog, I am sharing my tips on how I stay healthy when traveling and rules I live by. Sneak peak below and full read live on the blog. Link in bio and stories ✈️💕.
.
1️⃣Do your research - find cute cafes, healthy spots and workouts in the place you are traveling! I love stalking IG for these!.
.
.
2️⃣Avoid the airport food dessert - bring snacks and eat before you go. Some of my faves are hard boiled eggs, healthy bars, raw nuts and nut butter packs, and cut up veggies. .
.
.
3️⃣Stay hydrated - been bringing my @somawater bottle everywhere! Fill it up before and during a flight and while on the go in my destination. .
.
.
4️⃣Supplements - bring your supplements with you. Especially probiotics and digestive enzymes for all the eating at restaurants. .
.
.
5️⃣Be kind to yourself - don’t be hard on yourself for being out of routine. It is mean to be enjoyed! .
.
.
.
Hope this helps for all my travelers out there! How do you stay healthy while traveling? #eatwellwithsari #somawater #drinksoma #partner #travel #healthylifestyle

There is just something about roasted veggies and goat cheese 💕 I have missed making my rainbow bowls on the reg and this one came together yesterday with baby greens, leftover roasted veggies (beets, butternut, sweet potato), wild smoked salmon, goat cheese, avo, olive oil and fresh lemon. Ahhh so freaking good 🌈🎉 100% making this again today. happy Tuesday everyone! #eatwellwithsari

  • currently enjoying sunday with classic blueberry pancakes 🥞✨ I didn’t set an alarm this morning for the first time in weeks and seriously feels so good. whipped up some stacks using @a2milkusa whole milk - I’m all about quality dairy and a2 is the real deal and easier to digest 🙌🏻 full recipe is below! Happy Sunday! What’s everyone making today? .
.
.
#recipe
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 C @a2milkusa whole milk
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 C gf oat flour
Pinch of salt
Option - 1 tbsp coconut sugar or 1 tbsp maple syrup for some sweetness
1/2 C wild frozen blueberries .
.
Mix eggs, milk, vanilla together in a mixing bowl. Add in oat flour, baking powder, salt and coconut sugar. Mix well until batter is smooth. Heat up a pan with coconut oil spray and pour batter into circles. Sprinkle blueberries on top! Cook for 2-3 minutes on side 1 and 1 minute on side 2. May vary depending on how thick you make your pancakes! Top with PB, honey and more blueberries. Enjoy 😉 .
.
.
.
.
If you are looking to enjoy milk again, I suggest this one because the a2 protein is easier to digest than conventional milk produced with the a1 protein. Check out the @a2milkusa website for more details and a coupon to try! They suggest trying for 5 days to see how you feel. #lovemilkagain .

  • ok seriously cheeseless grilled cheese never looked so good 😊 where my grilled cheese lovers at!? it’s one of those simple pleasures that brings me back to my childhood! I used to eat it with ketchup too (is that werid ??😂). I know a ton of people are dairy sensitive and although I enjoy both - @daiyafooods dairy free shreds taste amazing and have a texture so similar to cheese it’s cray! I made this with 2 slices of GF toast on a grill pan with some olive oil and the cheddar shreds- that’s it! So easy and so good. Highly suggest trying these for your next “cheesy” dish 🧡 happy Friday everyone! It’s freaking sunny in michigan and I’m heading to barre.. thinking it’s gonna be a good day 🙌🏻 love to all. .

I have written a blog post all about my transition and the tools, habits and mindset shifts that have helped me. I want to share that with you all today. If you are struggling with anxiety, I feel you so hard and you are not alone. Link is in my bio + in stories but in the meantime, here are a few important reminders: .

❣️ The “list” is never going to end. Like ever. so make sure you add in what you love, what calms you and makes you happy. The rest will get done eventually. ❣️ Things do not happen overnight. Patience should always be above self punishment. Frustration is normal, but have some compassion will ya!? ❣️ No one is perfect. No one. What you see is what is shown to you and we all know that’s not the whole picture. Everyone is going through something, just like you.
❣️ Thoughts are just that - thoughts. Talk to them, quiet them down and tell them they are interrupting you (s/o to my sis for that tidbit). Thoughts do not define reality, your mindset and actions do. ❣️ Presence is the currency of life. If we are not actually in moments, we aren’t living them. I have to remind myself of this a lot. I am the kinda person who plans my next trip while I am on another. What’s the point? It’ll get done regardless, so why take away from those special moments. .
.
I hope these help ❤️ love to all.
Happy Thursday everyone! #eatwellwithsari .

  • How do I deal with anxiety now that I am off the meds? It’s work. A lot of work. Daily work. I have written a blog post all about my transition and the tools, habits and mindset shifts that have helped me. I want to share that with you all today. If you are struggling with anxiety, I feel you so hard and you are not alone. Link is in my bio + in stories but in the meantime, here are a few important reminders: .

  • hommmmeee 🧡 vegan creamy peanut red curry is on the menu tonight! I’ve revamped this recipe so it’s easier, faster to make, and you only need one large wok or deep pan. It’s my fave! Recipe is on the blog and linked in my stories 🤩 I cannot wait to stock up on groceries (missed TJs so much) and enjoy home cooked meals this week. Love to eat when I travel (duh), but I always feel best when I cook for myself. I’ve been away for most of feb and it has been hard on my tummy 🙃 so happy to be home for the rest of the month. Happy #humpday everyone! #eatwellwithsari

  • Not every day is sunshine and rainbows, but on the days that are (literally + figuratively) you really gotta soak it in ☺️ And today I'm living for it ☀️🌈 Happy Sunday from Brooklyn! #eatwellwithsari

  • I feel like winter is a time where people fall off when it comes to taking care of themselves - its cold, grey and the days are like 5 minutes long. It sucks and it’s so hard to stay motivated to do, well, anything. I get it and feel it too, but I push myself because I want to stay energized and healthy during these months. SO, in the hopes of inspiring you on this frigid grey day, I’ve teamed up with @swisseusa to share my top tips for staying well in the winter. I have a sneak peak below and a full blog post coming out today! Stay tuned to my stories. Happy Thursday everyone ♥️ .
▪️Get in your daily movement - at home workouts can be your best friend. ▪️Hydration - drink, drink, drink! I am currently on a huge tea kick and it helps me stay hydrated when its freezing and I am not thirsty! ▪️Supplementation - keep your immune system strong with @swisseusa winter wellness kit. I am loving the Vitamin C + Manuka Honey chews. Full deets on the blog!
▪️Nutrition - I know all anyone wants is comfort food, but make sure to add in your greens! I still love my rainbow bowls all winter long.
▪️Sunlight - The lack of sun is really hard on a lot of us - especially in MI. I personally use a light that mimics natural light and its awesome!

  • Sometimes I realize that I’m sharing my life with thousands of people and I get a sinking feeling of embarrassment. It’s so crazy that this world is normalized and whenever I stop to actually think about it, it feels funny. Not bad, just funny. That moment passes and then I realize how much I actually enjoy it. Connecting with people through this platform has been amazing for me. It’s actually my favorite part. Whether it’s making friends IRL or having someone truly inspire / impact my life from afar, it’s meaningful to me. I’m happy to be sharing my life on here and my blog - good and bad ♥️ On that note, I want to share some fun facts about me, well just for fun! Tell me something about you too in the comments! Happy #humpday everyone! .

▪️99% of people pronounce my name wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️ They say “SAW-REE” and it’s “SA-RI” like Carrie, Larry or Terry with an S. it’s actually short for Sarah which is my legal first name. .
.
.
▪️I was born at 28 weeks and weighed 2 lbs. Super premature and eager to get into the world. I had no physical / cognitive complications coming out of that and I thank my lucky stars everyday (and my parents, their supportive friends and my doctors). Except I have terrible eyes. My script is a +10 and I’ve worn contacts since I was 11. .
.
.
▪️I can write backwards and paint my nails with my left hand. Random, I know. .
.
.
▪️I grew up an intense skier ⛷ from age 4 to 18 it took up every weekend in the winter. Since then, I’ve skiied like 3 times. I am excited - but also scared - to get back on the slopes this March in Snowmass. .
.
.
▪️I am terrified of thunderstorms 🌩 and always have been! .
.
.
▪️I’ve never tried celery juice or mushroom coffee 😂😂. .

  • Sneak Peak: While exercise is important, bodies are made in the kitchen. Our Body Back program works because we focus on physical and mental strength, as well as strategies in the kitchen to support your workouts. 👊

A lot of times, it’s about making a better food choice in the moment...here is one of those healthier options over box pancake mix 😉
I hope you happen to have bananas on hand from the week and can make these for Sunday Brunch!! 😋

homemade healthy banana pancakes 🥞🍌♥️ these turned out ahmazzzzzing yesterday and I am so excited to share. Super doughy, but also the perfect amount of fluff in my opinion 🙌🏻 They are packed with fiber, omega3s and protein (flax, chia, hemp, collagen from @simplified_superfoods ) and have no added sugar to the mix 😌 #recipe below 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 Enjoy and happy #sunday everyone ❄️☀️.
.
.
RECIPE - in a large mixing bowl mix ▫️ 3 overripe mashed bananas ▫️1/4 C unsweetened almond milk ▫️1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract ▫️1 tsp baking powder ▫️ 1.5 tbsp of @simplified_superfoods mix with collagen (option for no collagen mix if vegan) ▫️ 2/3 C gluten free oat flour ▫️ combine well until a batter forms. Heat coconut oil on medium and add batter to pan. Flip when crispy on the outside. Enjoy with your fave toppings! .
