❣️#tesbonnebebe @coucoulesgirls 📷 by @laurence.revol 💄 @margot_prl .

  • If you missed yesterday's #edition of SATURDAY NITE, then here is a sneak peak of the #interview segment. Our guest was a Nollywood #actor; one who has paid her dues in the #entertainment industry and has contributed her quota in making Nollywood what it is #today.
Enjoy it.

  • Safe in Sound - Lower Than Atlantis.

When I first heard that Nickelback were going to inspire LTA’s fifth record, I was apprehensive to say the least. The band had always merged grunge, punk and contemporary pop so well, and given my love for their album ‘World Record’, I was on tender hooks that LTA were going to mess things up big time.
I was luke-warm to this record when it first came out; not because of any Nickelback influence, but because it didn’t seem to capture the same magic that the rest of their stuff managed to. However, 3 years later and after the announcement of their break up, I believe LTA scored an absolute home-run on 'Safe in Sound’. The first three tracks on the record are absolutely brilliant; the viscous 'Had Enough' has a thunderous riff which drives it home; whilst both 'Dumb' & 'Long Time Coming' are enriched in pop rock overtones; and each track features ‘ear-worm’ choruses that latch themselves into your brain for days. The band then roars through the rest of the record, dancing between poppy melodies and down-tuned, anthemic guitar riffs built for stadiums. LTA’s creative freedom on Safe in Sound, whilst initially a blessing, does turn into a curse on the horrible, stale numbers of ‘Money’ & ‘Boomerang’, but these are just a few anomalies in an album full of absolute gold.
The record goes on to end with an almighty bang with the track 'A Night to Forget' which first appeared joyous; but now after the bands heart-breaking break up, it’s now ridiculously bittersweet.
And whilst I can get teary-eyed at the thought of a world without LTA, I know that their records, including this one, will continue to sound as good now as they will do forevermore.

LTA: 2007-Forever. - Nat.

Stand out Tracks: Had Enough, Dumb & Could Be Worse.
