  • There's so much to love about diving into a bowl of hot ramen. Aside from the chewy noodles and deeply savory broth, the toppings are what bring a bowl of ramen to the next level. So, today we're going to learn how to make one of the most popular ones: Chashu! This recipe takes some preparing in advance, but I promise it's well worth it.   • Trying out some Mediterranean diet-inspired meals this week 😛 We bought a ton of salmon burgers, tuna, and flounder along with some fresh herbs and lots of veggies, so we’ve decided to make all of our dinners Mediterranean diet-friendly this week! We’ll still be doing our regular meal preps for lunch (chicken breast, sweet potatoes or brown rice, greens) but Peter and I have been wanting to eat more fish so we figured this would be a great way to do it. In addition to using fish as the protein source for meals, a key aspect of the Mediterranean Diet is using lots of fresh herbs. We’ve got cilantro, dill, mint, and parsley so I’d say we’re pretty much set 👏🏼 I’ll let you guys know in my stories how it’s going and how we like it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ Today’s lunch ➡️: pecan-crusted grouper 🐟 + cucumber/tomato 🍅🥒 salad w/ red onion, fresh mint, parsley, olive oil, lemon 🍋 juice, minced garlic, sea salt, pepper + basmati rice with a little oregano

  • #sgnomsterintaiwan Teppanyaki in Kaohsiung! This place boasts a mysterious vibe as we entered through the doors. I chose the seafood soup, truffle and mushroom salad, grilled short ribs with garlic and black tea creme brûlée. Everything was so so delicious and their service was impeccable despite my subpar Chinese. Not to mention the joy of being in the front row seat watching your meats being cooked on a sizzling iron grill 😋

  • Throwback to this delicious brunch I had already 2 weeks ago with @an.ninou and @bommesbude for the February edition of @an.ninou and @keyone82 eat Berlin ✌🏼
It was her idea to try out @baldon.berlin and I was really happy for that idea. I had the "Baldon sourdough sandwich" (13,50 € with bacon upgrade) and it seems quite pricy but the sandwich was 💥🤤 the bread itself is amazing and the whole composition with deep fried egg, cabbage, cheese, apple and perfectt crispy but still with a little chew fried bacon was truly awesome 🙌🏼
Btw the design of the restaurant is also awesome. Not that I would really notice but the ladies did 😅

  • I’ve known this person since May 1993. She took me under her wings when I first joined CH Williams as a Research Assistant. Twenty seven years of firm friendship. Today I bought her lunch at Kayra Authentic Kerala Cuisine. We had the Fish Molee Briyani and Ammamas Pachidi (brinjal). This was my first visit since they relocated from TTDI. We both enjoyed the food. 
I can assure you my friend looks nowhere close to her 60 years. My wish for her is to remain healthy and happy for a long time to come, and may her adventures lead her to new and exciting opportunities.

  • Lucknow is particularly loved for its meaty delights - especially its succulent kebabs 
Until 17th century, kebabs were quite chewy and course in texture, which changed when Nawab Asa-ud-Daula came to power. Now, Nawab Asa-ud Daula was a man who took his food as seriously as his court affairs. Some of the biggest Awadhi culinary gems came out from the kitchens of his khansamas. As the Nawab started getting old, he began losing his teeth. Age was catching up, but the nawab was in no mood to let this come between him and his love for good food. He ordered the Khansamas to make the softest kebabs that would require no chewing, and to do this without  compromising on the flavours. He apparently setup a contest where the maker of the softest and most succulent kababs would enjoy royal patronage henceforth. The Khansamas rose to the challenge and came up with tender and succulent kebabs hoping for a favourable response from the King. The melt-in-your-mouth Galouti kebabs are said to be the outcome of the same contest.  Since then, kebabs became softer and softer through generations and paved the way for the succulent Tundey Kebabs as we know it today. The famous Kebab shop by Haji Murad Ali came into being around the end of the 17th century. It is said that the kebabs made here continue to follow a closely guarded secret family recipe. 
When the melt-in-your-mouth kebabs were introduced to the Nawab of Awadh Wajid Ali Shah, he instantly fell in love with the tender wonder, and gave royal patronage to the ‘Tunday Kebabi’. A common legend says that Haji Ali was working on perfecting the mixture of the shahi galawat, when he fell off the roof and broke his one arm. This, however, didn’t stop him from pursuing his passion for cooking. He went on to employ people who would pound the meat with just one hand into sucha  fine paste that it would instantly melt in your mouth.
