After Elijah gave a warning about an upcoming great drought, the Lord instructed him to go into hiding. While he was hiding, God took care of his needs.
Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: "Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there."
So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook. - 1 Kings 17:2-6
I can recall many times when God has told me to leave a place or leave something behind. My first reaction is worry and doubt but this passage is a perfect reminder that I can always rely on Him.
Depend on the Lord with full trust and confidence and He will feed and sustain! 🥩🥖 #christiancartoon#christiancomics#ravens#meat#bread#sustainability#elijah#brook#straw#drawforgod#christianhumor#trustGod#feedme#elisha#ravine#christianart#photoshop
Must be compartmentalized command and control. Otherwise what kind of suicidal self decieving pride and hubris would facilitate this behaviour. Do you think you'll scare the spirit of God away? Will he surrender the planet and his people to you?
I have no words to explain the overwhelming feeling of unconditional love, deep belly laughs, and pure joy that Kyle and I experienced today.
We have been blessed with a circle of friends and wonderful family that have shown us an immense amount of support throughout our journey! @ashleycasey05 and @Chris_casey27 thank you both for putting together a beautiful shower for our baby boy, Elijah. These pictures are worth more than 10,000 words and yet, the one that keeps coming to mind is “cherish.” Cherish the moments.
Cherish these people.
Cherish this love.
Cherish all of the wonderful laughs we shared together.. To all who attended - We love you deeply and can’t thank you enough for taking the time to celebrate our baby boy 💙
