Paintings 2019 - Abstract Art is not painting things as you see them, it is painting them as you experience them. 💙

I see art as something raw and very personal. I don’t want to stress about my art being perfect, I feel something, and express it on a canvas or a piece of paper and end it there, no coming back to it, no fixing it. I draw that drawing in that moment, feeling some sort of feeling or having some sort of thought and going in fixing a little mistake or change something, will change the meaning an art piece has for me.
The reason I wan’t to sell these imperfect, raw and at times messy art pieces as prints or something else, in sharing that little bit of myself but also sharing that art with a different human who too has feeling and thoughts, that maybe aren’t the same but in the same little bowl of scrambles. Every art piece of mine has a story, and I try to be an open person. I’m dealing with a lot of mental problems, so for me knowing I’m not alone is a huge part of my healing process. My art is my way of telling people they aren’t alone.
I never in a million years thought my art would be displayed in a shop. So when I was contacted by @hernamewasnola, the CUTEST little boutique store on Queen Street in Croydon, it was very much a is-this-really-happening moment.
Sarah is a huge supporter of local emerging artists and I feel beyond grateful and extremely lucky she’s given me this opportunity.
You're my person (swipe to see the shimmer video) my mom got so amazed after seeing the depth effect.. She was like 'did u use any embossing paint?' 😜😁

Quote of the day 💭
“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.”
