Let's get ready to Rundle! 🗻 the fear of rain (and bears for me) made us hike this trail in record timing! The wind at the top was so strong... and with a seemingly 1000 ft drop on one side, I didn't have the patience to wait for any better conditions. Definitely a hike that I will be doing again as soon as the grass turns greener and waist deep snow melts. Is it just me, or is spring taking forever to show up?
Welcome to Hook and Ladder! Check out this sweet office we landed, right in the heart of the Rockies! To celebrate the launch, for every LIKE this photo gets, CEO @calebclark87 will donate one pint of blood to the Red Cross. Let’s get it friends!
There are many kinds of Inuksuit (plural for Inukshuk), and they mean different things depending on how and where they are built. Traditionally, they were used by the Inuit in the north as directional markers. An Inukshuk in the shape of a person signifies safety, hope and friendship.
Looking back to this gorgeous morning (this is just before sunrise) - we drove south from Tofino to Ucluelet (I had never heard of this place before!) and headed into the unknown in the dark, trying to find the ocean. After scouting a few different openings, I settled on this beauty view. Loved the rocks and the tree branches providing a nice frame across the top.
I put together a video covering my morning photographing here - link is in my bio!
In our newsfeed today we stumbled across a comment under a post shared by an account we follow that said something to the effect of "Ok but what about Canada legalizing pedophilia!?"
Underneath, a hoard of angry people -- including the account owner -- were calling out this person's ignorance. Lo and behold, a quick check told us this 'person' was a bot.
Pro tip number 3 is to spot a bot so that you can both save yourself the energy of pointless arguing and stop yourself from playing into their aim of polarization.
The first bot red flag is they've commented/tweeted something controversial or conspiracy-based. Before you respond, head to their profile: do they have a profile picture? Does their bio seem like a normal person's bio with respect to syntax and content? Does their handle have a lot of numbers? Answering "no" to the first to and "yes" to the last might indicate it's a bot account.
The next step is to check the content and frequency of their tweets/posts. Tweeting every few minutes and sharing highly polarizing political content are both red flags.
If you're still not sure at this point, we suggest erring on the side of caution. There are also chrome add-ons for @twitter that can help flag bots for you and save your rage for something that warrants it.
Spring is here now but it was a beautiful winter! I didn't take many photos but this one night stands out. It was beautiful and calm, one of those crisp quiet nights where the whole world seems to stop to breathe and cherish the sunset. There was just a hair of blazing orange sun shining the very last stitch of saturated light over the horizon. Lucky for me it was able to touch the cow and not the pines making for an almost surreal backdrop here! Who doesn't love complementary colours? *Sigh
I’d be okay if we skipped spring and went straight to summer! Anyone else? 🌸🌞

Colt is that dog that waits for you to catch up hiking,
only to immediately charge on before you catch your breath.
But at least he gives nice kisses along the way.
