👉Do you measure, weigh, or worry over the amount or serving size of your food? 🍶
Or maybe you don’t anymore, but you can’t help but base the amount you eat off of old diet habits: .
🔸”how many calories are in 1 spoonful of peanut butter?”🥜.
🔸“I better keep my cereal to 3/4 cup” 🥣. .
🔸“Only a tablespoon of dressing, or that’s too much fat on my salad”🥗
. 🔸“Only 1/2 cup of oatmeal, or it is too many carbs”🥣
. 👉These are just a FEW of the diet rules we impose on ourselves WITHOUT EVEN REALIZING IT. .
By following these rules that tell you what you NEED, you will likely.
A. Eat more than you actually want, because it is the serving size “allowed”.
B. Eat Less than you actually want, leaving you hungry or unsatisfied.
Today I turn 60.
A milestone, yes?
I chose this verse,
2 Timothy 4:17 as a theme for the rest of my life. Not gonna lie, I searched every book in my Bible for every verse in chapter 4 verse 17. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This one, though. “But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.”
2 Timothy 4:17
I never felt called to ministry like others in my family. To me, it meant preaching behind a pulpit on Sundays. That’s all I knew. Now I know I am called. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But my calling isn’t to pastor a church. My calling is to reach out and love women like myself, who are called to more in these empty nest years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It breaks my heart to hear women my age say, “what’s next for me?” Or “I don’t know who I am anymore” or the worst one: “I am too old to make a difference.” There is much ahead for me. For us. We are called to build empires. To leave a legacy of faith, fun, health, and yes, finances.
