I was going through some photos from 2 summers ago and I though I would post some!

Last night I got to photograph this beautiful girl 😍 I always think equine sessions will give me a horsey fix but in reality they make me miss that part of my life I’ve had to put on hold even more. I’ve taken the last year off from riding (temporarily! Sorry mom and dad... I still haven’t grown out of the “I love ponies” stage) and now that things have fallen into place here I’m hoping to get back in the saddle soon. More than just riding I miss having a horse to see every day after work for treats, brushing, snuggling, and spoiling rotten in general... there is nothing quite like it.
Not gonna lie yall but barrel racing has really got me up-and-down. One minute I'm making a 21 next is a 19 or 20. I never given up nor will I ever. Shes the horse that gonna help me get to where I wanna be. I may not be the best rider but I'm still learning how to race correctly. This life has thrown me curve balls and strikes. Fancy has litrally been the best horse a person couldve asked for to be started on. She is doing amazing for being almost 22! I love her so much, we have already accomplished a lot. I always thought that we wouldnt ever gotten a 19.6 my thing was we where probably only gonna make it to a 20 flat. The weekend I achieved a goal of mine I cried and I made sure Fancy knew that she did awesome. If I have a bad run it's my fault never hers. If I didn't make her go my fault never hers. Earlier that day while we did a practice run I looked over to Chelsie and Sam and my mom and said "I'm Feelin a 19 today" they said back "yes"! I was right I did feel a 19!! When I heard the crowd scream I knew that they knew what I was wanting and that I got my personal best. Fancy is the type of horse that you have to push out of the barrel on, she doesnt just get up and go like some horses she the type of horse that you have to work for what you want. I may not have the best "barrel" horse but I'm sure glad I have a horse I can compete on. We have come ways and,I we have accomplished much!
Biscuit DAY 14
Got this guy down to the arena today.
He was picking up the lope (correct lead and all) like a champ both directions. Pretty excited to see his owner ride him tomorrow.
I also worked at the walk and trot - also trying to be conscious to use more leg and seat before hand when it comes to steering and transitions. He is doing good.
Hubby did the lunging and worked on getting him to turn in by stepping in front of the driveline. Also just worked on leading again - and making sure he is respectful and stays out of space.
You know I often talk about what I’m working on and what’s not perfect but there’s a lot of stuff this guy does right. I’ve had him in for a tuneup and so I’m working on stuff that needs addressed but there’s also a great foundation on this guy.
He trailers well, saddles well, bridles well, stands still for you to get on (except for a couple times I corrected him on that one). So my job here is just to make sure he continues and correct when needed.
I really try not to be nit picky and when a horse does well to get out of their way and reward.
I didn’t lope Biscuit a lot today because he did what I asked and did it well. He has improved in this area so much !
Worked on gymnastics and slicing tonight! This was the last couple fences of our course, he was such a good boy!

Herbal testing my Sis!
I am excited to compare her testing in Illinois to the one here in Tennessee ❤️ I love that the kit allows me to be able to let my horse choose what she needs, and it gives me a pretty good idea as to what’s going on internally and even emotionally.

From today! Edge was an angel boy. He definitely redeemed himself from the other day. My trainer had me hop on a sale horse we have the past two days I’ve been out. His name is sunny! I’ve enjoyed riding him, and if anyone is looking for a horse ;) ———————————————————————how many horses do you ride?
Live footage of Edge ticking me off!!! I rode him in a snaffle yesterday just to see what happened and he just did not want to be consistent, or really work for that matter. I ended up riding him for about an hour and by the end he was an angel!!!!
