This pup is getting packed up, and will be shipped tomorrow! I love getting my hoops ready to go; it brings such a big joy to my heart. I’ll be letting go of quite a few hoops when I make my post office run, and can’t wait to see pictures of them in their new homes!
Music room and door embroideries. I miss the old days when I had a lot of big projects in process. These are 8 inch hoops filled with details. It was great to stitch a little every day (okay, not every day but still often). Apart from big projects I always have a small ones to feel satisfaction of finishing project once in a while.
Although I already have few sketches for future big projects and can’t choose which one to start!

I can't get over these plush looking kitty cat beds by @ingaburebure 😍
Can I tell you an inside trick?
Not, like, immoral, just a MEGA shortcut.
You may have noticed that while white-background product photos look great on a website, they don’t get a lot of engagement on social media. That’s why I recommend you also take lifestyle photos for your products.
But here’s the real secret: I batch these photos, spending couple of hours to take dozens of photos on one day. And then I sprinkle them out on social media over months. 😱😱 Isn’t that so much easier than doing your hair and finding the right lighting every single time you want a new photo? 👍
I know Instagram is intended to be candid photos in the moment, but the reality is that most professional accounts aren’t doing that at all. Most even edit their photos before posting. No reason you can’t too! 😉
If you make custom items, you may have no choice but to photograph each item individually once it’s finished, but the pictures you use for social media are a whole different can of worms. Seeing your products in their natural environment helps customers interpret the size of the piece… and we all know that quality photos suggest a quality product! 📷
Pick a time when you have a half-dozen products available. Gather some accessories and find a great location. Have a friend come over to model and ask them to bring a few outfits. And snap away! 📸📸📸 The more photos you take, the more you have to work from. Aim for photos of the product:
👉 In the environment it’d be used in (soap on a sink, for example)
👉 In a ‘gift’ setting (in a gift box with decorative ribbons surrounding)
👉 Being held by the model (up close and further back)
👉 Being used
👉 And of course, use your creativity and take any other pictures that might work!
In just a couple of hours, you’ll have dozens and dozens of lifestyle product photos that you can roll out on social media for months. 🎉🎉🎉 Isn’t that amazing?
