#WhereImFromWednesdays : Impressionism Exhibition 🖼
The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is one of the top art galleries/museums in Canada. It houses permanent exhibits but also travelling ones. This is great because sometimes if you can't travel to where the art piece is originally located, it might make its way over to AGO for special exhibition.
Their latest exhibition, 'Impressionism in the Age of Industry: Monet, Pissarro and More', is all about French Impressionist artists and their contemporaries depicting the rapid growth of the industrial age.
With a range of different mediums, works from Claude Monet, Charles Marville, Edgar Degas, Georges Seurat, Maximilien Luce, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and many more can be found in this exhibition.
The exhibition is almost nearing its end, with the last viewing day on May 5th. If you want to catch this, you better head to @agotoronto soon!

Today, I decided to walk home after work instead of taking the bus. It was so worth it! The weather was perfect & I finally got to see this little trail. On days when I would drive to work, I had wanted to stop here several times but couldn't because of one reason or another. It's just a tiny path that connects 2 major roads but it always looks so pretty and peaceful. Can't wait to see it during summer! •
I can shoyu the world, shining, shimmering splendid... 🎶 // Tell me, princess, now when did you last let your stomach decide? ...that's how it goes right? 😅
Signature clam broth ramen (shoyu and shio)
I normally like my broth so thick I can't see my reflection in it, but this clam broth was a nice, refreshing take. My friend got the shio and I got the shoyu. You definitely taste the difference in intensity of flavours. Unfortunately they were out of the soft boiled eggs 😭😭😭... Ramen is not the same without it. Guess I'll have to go back again... Haha

Did you even visit Canada without going to @timhortons? I got a medium steeped tea triple triple, which basically taste like a good (and very cheap) milk tea!! Life hacks😉 #eatsweetandsalty
Thai Tuesday - I don't know why it hasn't caught on! One of our favourite cuisines made at home and so easy to prepare!
Pad Krakow Moo
1 clove of garlic minced
1/2 tsp of chili pepper
1 lime zested
2 tbsp of sugar
1 tbsp of ginger
2 tbsp of soy sauce
3/4 cup of Basmati Rice
Thai basil to garnish
You could also top it with a fried egg!
Seriously try this at home so flavourful!
Screeched tarte au sucre with wintergreen Chantilly and brown butter milk sauce from @canoerestaurant
This is my first tarte au sucre and I thought the texture was very interesting! I didn't expect it to be of a pudding consistency but I liked it! #eatsweetandsalty

Meals for a Movement: A special evening on April 18, 2019 at the Koffler Gallery to both celebrate and activate 'Meals for a Movement', a three-part audio series produced exclusively for Koffler.Digital by Annie Wong, in collaboration with Faith Arkorful, Victoria Cheong, and Minh Chau Vong.
Taking cues from the feminist sentiments expressed throughout Meals for a Movement, we invited a small group of women of colour and their allies to share a meal, provided by Nish Dish, while listening to the ASMR, poetry, and music woven throughout this audio series. Afterwards, Annie Wong led the group through a discussion on women's uses of anger and its power to create political responses and change throughout history.
