This is what a prospective client from an energy and infrastructure advisory firm said to me last week.

I went in with a proposal to handle their social media marketing. As the conversation progressed, we tried to access which platforms are best for the business.
.
Some of the conclusions we arrived at were based on the data we had. .
What Social Media Marketing decisions are you making without the right data to back them? .
From the data above, you can see that Facebook currently has the largest monthly audience you can advertise to but before you opt for any platform, take out time to study the audience insight.

The age group of people using the platform, the percentage of female and male, etc. Consider all possible factors based on the industry you operate in.

VARIATION 1 - YES, AND
You are going to take what your prospect already believe and confirm their bias before selling to them. .

Most people have confirmation bias, hence, you should take advantage of that.
.

Example: YES, carbs are making you fat... AND they can cause diabetes.
.
.
VARIATION 2 - YES, BUT
You are literally taking what they believe in and saying no BUT there's a different belief here that I want you to explore which is better.
.
.
Example: YES, cutting fat can be healthy for you... BUT, not if you cut out the good fats with the bad fats!
.
.
VARIATION 3 - NO, AND
Here, you are coming in to say, everything you know to be true is wrong, NO.
.
.
Example: NO, fatty foods do not make people fat AND, the right kind fats can actually cause weight loss.
.
**Use this variation in specific cases.

VARIATION 4 - NO, BUT
Almost the same as variation 3 above.
.
.
No, what you hold to be true currently is incorrect BUT you're kind of in the right direction, let me help you and push you in the right direction by revealing something that you may not know.

Example: NO, high fat/low fat carb diets are not dangerous... BUT you have to plan your meal correctly!
.

To try out what I have shared, spend the next five minutes to write down a compelling offer using any of these variations.

Да, это те самые посты в ленте и сторис, которые вам отображает Инстаграм. Но то, что видите вы, может не видеть ваш муж или подруга☝️ Хитрюга фейсбук (владелец инстаграм) следит за тем, что вы лайкаете, комментируете и даже на чем задерживаете взгляд. Где живете, работаете и куда ходите на обед 🥘

Так вот таргетированная реклама помогает рекламодателям бить в 🎯 цель по заинтересованной аудитории. Лайкнула я перу раз дизайн интерьеров, и реклама соответствующих агентств  сразу начала мне отображаться😏

Но чем отличается профессиональная настройка рекламы от кнопки «продвигать»? 📍Посты для рекламы не будут у вас в аккаунте. Их может быть хоть 50... кнопкой же можно продвигать только уже существующий пост.
📍Тест. Одновременно тестируется группа объявлений. Не надо запускать по 1 посту и смотреть вот это зашло ок, а это не очень. Сразу множество картинок и видео отправляется в бой, и те, что не зашли - отключаются. Это позволяет здорово экономить деньги!
📍Аудитории. Их куда больше. Инстаграмчик даёт очень размытые интересы, фейсбук в этом плане дотошный.
📍Цели. Если через фейсбук настраивать, то можно создавать сразу форму для заполнения или отправлять человека в директ или мессенджер. Вы получаете его контакты) а это не хухры-мухры.

К чему это я? Наконец перешла с рекламным кабинетом фейсбука с «вы» на «эй, ты» и С радостью возьму несколько человек на таргетированнаю рекламу в Инстаграм 🙌

Будет круче, чем кнопка «продвигать»😉
Сделаю вам до 20 вариантов объявлений. Дело в том, что люди реагируют на них абсолютно непредсказуемо. Красивый стейк набирает меньше кликов, чем фото с мятым пакетом 🧐

Пишите в директ, не стесняйтесь,  и друзьям скажите ))📖

  • 😻I’ve only recently entered the world of Brene Brown with her book “Dare to Lead”, so I was keen to watch “Call to Courage” on Netflix and learn more about her and her expertise.

So if you’re not familiar with Brene, she’s a multiple NYT Best Selling author and as she would say a Shame Researcher, who’s visibility took off when she decided not to present one of her usual talks about Shame at a Ted X event.  Instead, she chose to speak about vulnerability and in so doing, exposed her own vulnerabilities.

She had no idea the speech would get posted online and, like Chewbacca mom, the video went viral.  Despite her years of experience in social work and shame research, the online trolls 👺knocked her for a 6 and sent her into a Downtown Abbey binge-fest (full disclosure - I haven’t seen 1 episode)

Running Facebook Ads with influencers and leaders over the years, there are always people as Brene would say, who are sitting in the “cheap seats”. Who will never be brave or vulnerable and who make it their job to throw criticism at those who dare to step out in the arena and inevitably receive a can of ass-whoopin for their courage 🥾💥 “Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me”... it’s a children’s rhyme and (spoiler alert for the kids)  like 🎅🏼Santa and the Tooth Fairy - is a lie.  Give me sticks and stones any day. Words can cause wounds that go deep and last for years - long after the person who said them has forgotten them.

The criticism given by those who chose not to live bravely or vulnerably can unfortunately open the door to fear, anxiety and shame and good ol’ imposter syndrome to those who do.  It can stop people from stepping into their destiny, getting visible and even doing that Facebook Live 🎥 they’ve been wanting to do for so long, but just can’t tap the button.

The experiences from your past can keep pulling you back like an elastic band when you try to stop playing small.
