Long days of hard work, exhaustion, and crying make us question is everything worth it the end. From a person who has questioned themselves all the time. I tell you it is. We might not see it everyday but you know it’s the days that we do care that count. So keep working hard on your goals because it’s worth it. Stand up and keep trying.
I have seen this picture many times over the past several years, but really have only recently realized the magnitude of its reality.
When a person is good at something or has success in one area of life that maybe you do not- or are currently working toward obtaining...you MUST understand that what seems easy for that person has not always been easy.
Listen to any leadership podcast and they will tell you that when you see someone good at something, what you didn't see is how many times they failed on the way to get to where they are.
The ONLY difference between them and you is: TIME. It takes time to learn a new skill or meet a goal. In the time it takes to do so, there WILL be failure. The MOST IMPORTANT thing to remember is to KEEP GOING. That feeling of failing will only stick around if you STOP and LET IT.
Do NOT let failing HINDER where God is calling you!
You CAN adjust your mindset and start thinking that you are SUCCEEDING when you fail! If you're not failing then more than likely you have stopped trying to succeed at whatever it is that God originally led you to.
THERE WILL BE NAY SAYERS!
People are not comfortable when someone WORKS to overcome obstacles that stopped THEM.
Sometimes God will give us options to be able to work to our strengths-in the way He has gifted us. If those options are there and one person is better at option A and you are better at option B then CELEBRATE EACH OTHER!
AND-if you suck at option A but really want to be successful in that, LOOK for the answers and do the work it takes to LEARN.
If you aren't willing to learn a new skill that would add value to your skill set-you cannot complain because you aren't doing the work to get to the goal. YOU made the choice to stop. No one else makes that choice for you!
STEP OUT IN FAITH
DO THE WORK TO SILENCE THE DOUBT!

As a parent, one of the biggest jobs you’ll have is being there to support your child through their competitive activities. Whether that be sports, music, academics, etc. you’ll always be there cheering them on and praying to God that they do great. However, with these great endeavors, comes failure, heartache, and tears. At one point or another, they’re going to have to learn to lose. But, what you don’t realize, is that YOU yourself are going to have to learn to lose too. Now, that’s a tough one! It’s easy to hover over them, pushing them to be the best because you know just how great they are. And, when you see something threatening that, you react. It’s human nature. But, what you have to remember is that whether your kid is the one who always plays or gets the best grades, or they’re the one who never gets put in the game and struggles daily, at some point they’re going to lose. They’re going to go through something that will shape the kind of person they grow to be. And, through it all, they’re watching you. They’re looking for your approval. They’re looking to I see how you react to their failures and greatest wins. You see, what they’re really learning, is how to deal with competition, loss, and success in their adult lives. So, be an example for them. Continue to cheer them on. Cheer for their peers that may not be doing quite as well, or cheer for those who may be doing better than your own child. Show them how to play the cards they’ve been dealt, and pray to God for guidance through their struggles. #struggles#guidance#failure#loss#success#powerofprayer#theguidewife

While trying to satisfy you, I’ve been trying to satiate myself. Working on @empresscious_aromas is indeed taking all of me. I’ve failed, and failed, and f.. you get the point. But never have I failed at the same thing twice. As I’m learning I am also growing, and putting myself into my work has been a beautiful art in itself. Some day, I only wish to remember my obstacles and be thankful for them and the people who believed I’d overcome them. -Stay Empresscious ❤️

Filled with unrelenting doubts
And hindered by suffering
It seems that all is hopeless
Love seems suspended
Intuition's eyes have gone blind
Nothing seems to matter as one
Gradually sinks into the abyss
Flailing in the gloomy night
As time's gears struggle to a halt
Loneliness seeps in slowly
Lapping at the waters of the Soul
Imbibing the essence of the Spirit
Nascent sadness begins to take root
Gone are the Sun and the Light
Do you feel this?
I’m sure a lot of have heard of the fear of failure but haven’t considered the fear of success!
Believe it or not, there is such a thing! 💭 fear of not being “perfect”
💭 fear of being judged if they didn’t do as well
💭 fear of constantly being compared
💭 hustling for the wrong reason
💭 fear of being pressured
How I coach my clients is all about switching your fear to your purpose. Go back to your WHY!
Does this make sense?
I am opening up 2 spots for the rest of the year. If this resonates with you, DM me and would love to chat further with you.
I just dropped Ep. 67 with @larrybroughton
This episode was so intriguing to me. Larry has such a fascinating background, and I was actually quite nervous about the interview. The minute we sat down to talk that nervousness completely evaporated and was replaced with connectedness
Larry shares his story about his small town beginnings, his decision to become a Green Beret, and how he ended up becoming a successful hotelier. Larry not only shares how he found wild success, but he is also extremely open about some of his failures along the way in business and life
Larry and I also discuss men’s work, and the need for more men to do this type of self discovery. We both share how some of this work has shifted our lives as fathers, men, leaders, and humans. We talk about finding the balance between raising our kids to be both tough and compassionate
This episode will touch everyone that listens to it. We cover business, leadership, success, failure, family, and life. I think the best thing that I Loved about this episode was @larrybroughton willingness to be completely vulnerable and share some of his life’s hardest lessons
Thank you so much @larrybroughton for taking the time to sit down with me and share your incredible story with me. My life was enriched by our conversation, and I am so grateful for meeting you. I’m greatly looking forward to our paths crossing again soon

I always try and prepare myself for failure. Yes, I know that sounds a bit negative, but it helps me be prepared.
I take time to evaluate the "what if" in any plan that I make.
I imagine scenarios of failure and try to come up with possible solutions to them. This way, Im aware of the risks I am taking. Life is inherently risky and to have a blindfold when you make life-changing decisions is never favourable.
It's always better to mitigate risks by also planning for failure. This way, the world around you won't stop and break if it happens. You can never protect yourself 100%, but you can mitigate them to an acceptable degree. You can never remove all of the losses after a failure.
The picture of rain washing away all our problems is well known. But I feel like the rain can not wash away all the dirt. It can also wash away good things and the dirt can stay.
But dirt is not to be washed away. Problems shall not disappear. I need to solve my problems, I need to clean my dirt myself and I need to except somethings I’d call dirt that are actually me, cause it makes me stronger and a better person. I got scares and I got things I don’t like about myself. But I have to live with that and except it and learn to love those things about myself. I have days that are really bad for me which is normal. I have days where I can’t take jokes and I have moments when I feel weak. But this is human right? I think everyone reading this can actually relate to what I say. We all have our bad days or minutes. But we don’t like to show that sometimes. Or we show it to much. We have parts we want to hide. Preferring “I’m fine” over “I’m having a bad day. I feel sad”. But I think saying, right now I’m not ok, is a real act of bravery.
But I just want to mention that even though I just wrote this out of my heart today was a pretty good day. I love the possibility of freedom I have in my new home. I love it that I just walked to town than was surprised by the rain and walked to my home through the rain always stopping in dry spaces. #justsaying •
Oof. My new boyfriend is a bad influence. We went to brunch and I had 2 mimosas. There were no vegan entrees available, so I made do with 2 sides. A side of fries and a side of orzo and wild rice. Kinda wish I didn’t order the fries, but after all the drinking last night, I was famished. Lunch was fresh tomatoes! 2 fresh ones from my bf’s mom’s garden. For dinner I had a veggie scramble with tofu scooped onto rye bread. Didn’t plan on eating the bread, but my bf was all for it... because we went hiking so it was “okay”. Then, while getting ready for work I had a cup of coffee with almond milk and agave (not pictured), and my bf talked me into eating an uncrustable so I could have some energy for work. Also not pictured is the 12 oz of Gatorade I chugged down at 3 am after muscle cramps in my legs and feet kept waking me up. I can’t handle so much alcohol! Messes up my electrolytes bad!
