“Jesus, teach me to see that ‘Kingdom culture’ transcends my culture.” Strangely enough, as we grow in our becoming more and more like Christ, we will slowly move beyond the biases of our flesh, the perceptions that are currently driven by our personal perspectives, and the hindrances caused by our selfish viewpoints. We are not saying that our individual cultures are negated in the Kingdom of God, but we are saying that they should never be elevated above another… For in the Kingdom of Heaven, all tribes, all tongues, and all cultures will be represented. And together, we showcase the glory of the Lord. But sadly, one of the Church’s greatest points of division is in culture; in perspective; in ethnic, economic, and generational disagreements.
But as Jesus is praying to the Father in John 17, He looks ahead, knowing that His message would spread beyond Jewish ears. That soon enough, people of all backgrounds, all ethnicities, and all walks of life would come to know the one true God...that WE would come to know Him. And what He prays for us all is UNITY; an active display that we all are not operating from our own system of beliefs, but from a Word that unifies and frees.
Today’s Prayer, worded from John 17:20-24 // “Jesus, as Your Kingdom reigns in greater ways,
May I continually loosen my grip on the fleshly kingdom I cling to.
I often like my comfort more than I like my neighbor,
I often allow my pride to harden my heart from compassion,
And I am quick to only uniting myself with those who look like me.
But remind me that You are the Savior of all cultures.
Remind me that You are in those who are different than I,
Moving, teaching, working, and leading in ways that I have yet to grasp.
And my disunity hurts my ability to see Your greater character.
So today, may love be the connection point between me and all those around me.
Forgive me for my past biases.
Moments where I spoke harshly,
Times where my agenda hurt the advancement of Your Kingdom,
And days where my spirit brought tension and strife.
Help me to be one with Your people,
Claiming each as my family,
And treating them as such.
May You be seen by our love today.
In Your name, Amen.”
If you agree comment “Amen🙏🏼” below👇🏼 it’s crazy— the darker my seasons get, the stronger my bond becomes with God... each situation lately, I pray and ask him, what are you trying to teach me. I’ve been listening to @joelosteen’s podcast (ty Adam) and I recommend it to anyone going through it or merely would like that morning motivation to start their day. God is good, Good souls exist, Let go of what you can not control and trust the path you’re on. If something didn’t work out, it’s because something bigger is in store. Trust his guidance. Trust your purpose....have a great weekend Ig Fam.♥️
We will commit to the gathering of the saints, in homes, and in those gatherings being for believers; not an evangelistic outreach of the unbelieving.
Our gatherings are for the believers as seen in Scripture because the unbelieving don’t understand everything that may be going on and become confused; God is not a God of confusion and we do not want to portray confusion. The gathering is so believers can grow as a body, dive deep in the Word of God, pray hard, practices the gifts and prepare to stand firm in faith. The gathering of the saints was never meant to be an evangelistic tool for believers to bring the unbelieving to hear the Gospel, they are to proclaim the Gospel themselves.
We will commit to cultivating deep relationships and thereby keeping our home gatherings small; dividing into another home once the gathering has become to large to continue cultivating deep relationships.
Deep and meaningful relationships are key in the growth of the Church and the individual believer, as it models the relationship in the Godhead and the Church with Jesus. The gathering should only grow to the point that relationships can be well sustained; once they are hindered a split should be made. Splitting should not happen over disputes but due to growth and relationship sustainability.
Take this to heart.
“Or God disciplines people with pain on their sickbeds, with ceaseless aching in their bones. They lose their appetite for even the most delicious food. Their flesh wastes away, and their bones stick out. They are at death’s door; the angels of death wait for them. “But if an angel from heaven appears— a special messenger to intercede for a person and declare that he is upright— he will be gracious and say, ‘Rescue him from the grave, for I have found a ransom for his life.’ Then his body will become as healthy as a child’s, firm and youthful again. When he prays to God, he will be accepted. And God will receive him with joy and restore him to good standing.”
Job 33:19-26 NLT
Sometimes, we can get so overwhelmed with the end goal that healing from something and that process even seems exhausting. Instead, just open up your mouth and cast your care upon the Lord because He cares for you. Continue to capture bad thoughts that oppose Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5), continue to read you word and meditate on scriptures. Continue to listen to worship music and sermons.

All I can do today is say THANK YOU JESUS 🙌🏻 There is no doubt in my mind that God literally had His hand on my husband lastnight. Wet, dark, a little sleet. He was on a strange road and missed a stop sign at the bottom of a hill with a main highway crossing. An oncoming car did hit his back wheel area and at some point his truck flipped and was airborne, went through the utility pole, landed and rolled again. Electric power lines down across the road. I got a call from a stranger that my husband had been in a wreck. It is nothing BUT A MIRACLE he is alive. He somehow crawled out the rear window and went to check on the lady in the other car when someone stopped him and made him sit down. The other woman was thankfully unharmed at all!! And our dog, Tucker, was also in the truck tethered in. He was quite shook up but is okay. My husband was taken to the hospital and checked over. He is a little banged up, but the only thing is a broken collar bone!!! He is 54 yrs old. Retired USArmy and this was his first wreck. He is quite sore today and not moving very well BUT. HE IS ALIVE!!!!! Praise God!! I would appreciate your prayers of healing and no complications. He is not one to be still so that will be hard on him and he desperately wants to be with his dog but Tucker is 170# Mastiff and he wants to be all over Brian making sure he is okay. God is so good ya’all. I just had to say that today. God is SO good!
