Accountability. There are so many ways we can be accountable to our wellness goals.
My best success with accountability has been with my fam jam. We strive to get at least 30 minutes of movement in a day, and set it as a goal.
We have a bunch of things we do together to get our bodies moving. Sometimes the boys act as the trainer's and we follow their lead...please note this kid has a whistle in his mouth 🤦🏼♀️. We also have a fun superhero workout, and animal workout. We act silly but the job gets done.
And if we aren't getting our workouts done together, each night we do a quick check in with each other to see what we did apart. Sometimes it's me hitting the gym, Corey taking the dogs for a walk, and the boys taking part in an extra curricular.
There's no guilt with our accountability to each other, but we are successful in getting our bodies moving most of the time.
Gotta give a huge shout out to my B-Day twin @adriano.91 I want to say thank you for inviting me and my girl out to celebrate our Jan 7th birthday. You definitely made it a great one. Cheers to new friends and a very prosperous new year. Much love brother to you and Ofcourse @blackkbarbiii
Happy Chinese New Year!!🏮🧧🏮 With all the rush of the new year, I had yet to post anything about it! Here is a pic of me and my mom celebrating! I pulled together a meal of nine dishes cooked from scratch (swipe to see), we shared lucky pockets, and even saw the traditional lion dance! It is such a happy and festive time of the year and I love to uphold family traditions! Wishing you all a great year of the rat! 🐭
The dishes I cooked:
- Garlic scallops and shrimp
- Braised pork with mushrooms and bean curd
- Beef and peppers with black beans
- Radish cake (this one is the most labour intensive one, taking 3 hours to make! Grated ingredients, cooked separately then steamed in a loaf tray. The loaf is then sliced and fried)
- Shiitake mushrooms and scallions
- Stir-fried Chinese broccoli
- Steamed fish
- Mapo (spicy) tofu and pork
- Snow pea tips
