📌Intermittent Fasting in is an eating pattern where you cycle between periods of eating and fasting.
⏰It says nothing about which foods that you eat, but rather only dictates WHEN you should eat them.

Why I went from 40s to 40s...
Every single weekend I would go out to a bar and drink the night away. Clearly I would pre game with 40s taped to my hands too..
This is actually pretty embarrassing to look back at.
The biggest part of me drinking all the time is that it kept holding me back from my goals.
👉 Go out Friday and drink all night and then eat fast food
👉 Wake up feeling like death and drink a crap load of fountain pop and grab a pizza for breakfast
👉 Repeat for Saturday into Sunday
This really served no purpose in my life other than to try to deal with grief of a loss I experienced. I did this to distract myself from truly feeling emotions caused with death of a loved one. Now that I’m older I can recognize that.
After doing this for YEARS and hurting many people emotionally in the process it wasn’t until I hopped on the scale and noticed the big bold numbers 1-5-0.
To some people, this is great. However, I was 117 pounds a year prior. 33 pound gain. THIRTY THREE pound gain in about a year.
I NEEDED A CHANGE. So what I did was this...
✅Therapy for grief of a loss.
✅ Made some long term and short term goals.
✅Googled the hell out of fitness and nutrition unsuccessfully.
✅Hired a fitness coach.
AND NEVER LOOKED BACK!

Happy Wednesday! I had my one year appt this morning! It went very well! Everyone said I’m doing well and they’re happy with my progress. After my appt, my sweet husband and I went to @poncecitymarket to enjoy a day date. Lunch, lots of walking around, and fresh falafel 🤤

It has been the hardest, most rewarding thing I’ve ever done besides childbirth. I told my husband today that now I’ve seen myself do this, I can do all the other goals I have for myself. I CAN run marathons. I CAN lift heavy. I just have to start. I am so happy and proud of myself, y’all. ✨

My new trainer snapped a couple photos for me today (of course many... for choice and proper angles 😂🤷🏼♀️) but it’s been awhile since photos of me working out have happened. (these were the best 2) but when I saw them my first reaction was ‘ugh I have so far to go’ -it was a reality check, but I decided to buck up and use it to keep going.
On the walk home though I remembered the post I read just yesterday that @carrieunderwood wrote about having unrealistic expectations for herself after a baby.
She then stated- ‘As I prepare for life on tour, right now I make a promise to myself to start appreciating what my body CAN do and stop focusing on what it can’t. I promise to stop analyzing every angle and every curve and every pound and every meal. I’m going to stay the path because it is a journey and as long as I’m always working towards my goals, one day I’ll reach them. I’m going to take it day by day, smile at the girl in the mirror and workout because I love this body and all it has done and will continue to do’ -Carrie Underwood.
It doesn’t matter who you are, what size or status... we can all be too hard on ourselves. If you wouldn’t say it to a friend -or your kid... then don’t say it to yourself either.

So for those of you not around me very often, the least few months have been crazy to say the least. Back issues springing out of nowhere, mental issues doing the same... I'm finally getting back on track. For the last 10 days, I've participated doing a fast with my nutritionist, and I feel better than I have in a long time.
The next few months are no slower, but I feel a bit more ready to do what needs to be done and get into a shape other than round. To God be the glory, and I've been relying on him harder than ever.

Pasta bolognese and garlic bread :) Garlic bread is 1 promise roll (HEB) cut in half. Melt 1 tbsp of lighter than light flora and add minced garlic (mix it up) spread it over the promise roll and put in the oven for 10 minutes or so at 180, take the roll out and add grated cheese I used one of my (HEA) and place back in the oven until crispy. I did have to put mine under the grill for a few minutes I was too impatient lol
You get 6 bits like mine for 1 HEB only my daughter nabbed the other 2 bits of mine :) It felt super naughty but All in all it was only 1.5syns and that was for the butter!
a really smooth 545lbs single today went for 585 just wasnt there today. planning for 2-3 meets this year. @cornhuskerstategames forsure and should be doing a meet later on in the year. let's see what happens just glad I'm still kicking, breathing and lifting
