Anyone else embracing trying new things? My job often has me being thrown in the deep end (literally and often with stingrays and sharks) and though I feel the fear I do it anyway! Jump out of your comfort zone and tick something off that bucket list, what do you think?! @ripcurl_aus thanks for kitting me up and keeping me warm!

Our minds are experts at working in overdrive when it comes to fear. We stand in our own way when we attempt to construct a narrative of what we *think* might happen when we confront that fear. A narrative which is so often curated from past experiences, projected onto a future that has yet to happen. Fear needs to be acknowledged. Dissect it if you have to. Pull it apart. But then put it to one side and wave it on its way, because everything you want is on the other side of it. Repost @bringing_sparkle_back 💥 Pic 📸 @massimogiorgetti

There is sometimes the misconception that brave or heroic people do not feel fear. That is absolutely untrue. Those who do courageous things are often afraid, but they face their fears and they do what has to be done anyway. .
I often receive lovely kind comments about how it’s inspirational that I chose to take the plunge and move from Essex to the Lake District alone. People often say how they wish they could go hiking alone, how they could try wild swimming in cold waters. How they could change their job from a career to more of a vocation. Don't put yourself down if you are feeling fearful about a big goal. Fear is natural. .
I’m afraid all the time when trying new things, but I don’t let fear consume me, instead I utilise it, I feel it and I say “Fuck it” and do it regardless. Fear can even be very helpful, it challenges you and helps you to grow. You have the power inside you to fight your fear and to reach for what you want. .
Make that move.
Start a new hobby.
Make new friends.
Trust someone and fall in love.
Change your life for the better. .
I figured out quickly after arriving the real reason I came here: to run away from my failures of 2018. Prove I didn’t care that both the job I loved and the man I loved didn’t want me. Eight months later, I see how it’s left me unwilling to commit to anything. Unwilling to pour my heart and soul into something that could unexpectedly abandon you at any moment.
I’ve gone back to fearing one of life’s toughest truths: we have no control.
And to cope, I’ve been numbing myself yet again with food.
After losing my Dad and my marriage, it took a while for me to stop fearing life’s unpredictability. I turned then to food as the ultimate distraction. How frustrating to see that I’m back here again.
Yesterday evening I walked through the city for several hours. I imagined the delight my 10-year old self would have at knowing I was here. She didn’t know I’d feel so afraid of loving anything because I knew I could lose it. She never dreamed the magic of this city would be wasted on me.
As I thought on it, I realized that she wouldn’t care. She’d possibly even love it: take out her notebook and begin writing about a heroine who rediscovers loving life ...in Paris, the perfect storybook setting.
Today, I decided to try looking at this moment through her romantic eyes: a woman on a journey to find trust in the universe again. And to start by putting down her favorite numbing agent: food.
Eat to enjoy life, not to escape it.
Life lesson from last night's session @thewomensorganisation
1)VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO- it is the future, it's the best way to engage with your audience and show who you are
2) Unless you are Beyonce no one really gives a shit about what you post- there really aren't that many people looking so, don't wait until things are perfect to take the first step. JUST DO IT
3) Don't cop out on a commitment to yourself. Yesterday I cancelled this morning's run with @mini_travellers because I thought I was too busy... this morning I was thinking about the session and about my business and when I work best and... I rebooked. We were out the door by 9.05, back an hour later and I am full of energy for the rest of the day. WINNING
So, in short... #feelthefearanddoitanyway#whatstheworstthatcanhappen#fyourfears#findyourfabulous#feelyourfierce
Do you find it hard When someone asks you “what do you coach your clients in?”.
I know I use to.
It feels a little like when someone asks you “so...what music do you listen to?” Am I right?! Just like your 10 year old self could confidently say “pop music” (more namely in my case, Britney).
As an adult you now know that you float between current chart music, acoustic, Motown, 80’s power ballads, house music & sometimes classical or rap.
You know you are not defined by your music choices.
Just in the same way you know the women who come to you are not defined by the problems they want to overcome.
However being able to articulate in 1 to 2 sentences the women you work with will serve you greatly. Being able to provide a punchy description of what you specialise in immediately lets your key audience know if you’re the coach for them, can serve as your bio and helps fend off confusion from the people asking what you do.
Top tips on how to articulate who you work with:
1. Be able to define the area of coaching you’re in; are you a wellbeing, health, lifestyle, relationship, career, business, body image coach?
2. Second get crystal clear on your ideal client. So that you know her inside out. And you know what her biggest problem or pain point is. And then what’s the opposite of that? For instance I know my clients are great at taking a courageous leap but then find themselves frozen in fear straight after. Aka, they are ambitious women but they can get in their own way. So they are ready to come home to themselves.
3. What are the words your clients use to describe themselves or what they come to you for? Aka mine feel like they hold themselves back but have big visions and wish it felt easier.
Then you simply Put it all together.
Therefore mine becomes; I’m a life and business coach, I help ambitious female coaches come home to themselves and uplevel their life and business with ease.
I’d love to hear what you end up creating! And also, as importantly, who was your favourite artist when you were 10?✨

You are infinite universal intelligence!
But most the time, our fear is in the way disguising who we really are!
Often on this inner transformation we think we need to learn more, but it’s mostly the other way around.
We have to UNLEARN the fears that no longer serve us, we have to UN-PROGRAM and RE-PROGRAM our subconscious mind.
We are basically running on autopilot, 95% of the time living from the sub-conscious mind, completely rehearsed and programmed like a computer program!
This is why so often people read a self help book then after reading it go back to living exactly the same way again.
Below are Some helpful things I suggest to re-program your sub-conscious mind.
Bringing Conscious awareness to the fear based self, this is basically being the silent watcher, the witness of the ‘self’ when we become the watcher, we are no longer lost in the program.
Meditation right before you go to sleep! And it has to be a behavioural Type meditation, DR JOE DISPENZA’S are by far the best.
Affirmations, I am doing affirmations all day and night! I LOVE THEM, it’s like planting a seed, if you nurture the environment and keep at it soon it will BLOOM.
Updating limiting Beliefs and mindset, a coach/mentor is great for this as you definitely benefit from support on your inner journey.
These are just a few of the things you can do to upgrade your sub-conscious mind and become a new empowered YOU!

Make the world a better place one kind act at a time 😊
‘Enough is enough’...! X
✨ ‘YOU ARE YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM’ ... These words literally jumped off the page at me this morning from my current read, and I have to say I can’t argue or dispute them at all...
💫 Do you ever find yourself ‘KEEP MEANING’ to get something done, whether that’s a project you need to start or more importantly, as it is in my case, one I want to finish 🤷♀️... well TODAY that avoidance and procrastination STOPS right here, because I’m actually now BORED of hearing myself saying ‘I must do that this week’, and it’s still on my list 3 months later.. ‘UNACCEPTABLE Johanne, UNACCEPTABLE’ ...
❤️ Sometimes, holding yourself accountable by saying it out loud is all it takes to get a job done so... here it goes... 🙌 I AM GOING TO FINISH THE BOOK THAT I HAVE BEEN WRITING BY 30TH JUNE 2019 ⬇️ Is there something you have been putting off, that you’re prepared to say out loud to ensure it gets done? Why not share it below... LET’S DO THIS...! ❤️
Who else has had a gut feeling about someone or something and then gone against it and it turned out that you were right in the first place and should of listened to your gut instinct! 🙋🏽♀️
This has happened to me many times!
When trying to follow my intuition now, and have clarity if it’s my intuition or fear talking, I meditate on my 3 things, my head, my heart, and my gut.
We actually have 3 brains! 👻
First you close your eyes, sit down, and ask the question to your three brains, the head to start, feel the answer from your head for a few minutes, the head to me is all over the shop and never right, it seems messy and unclear and rather negative! I never go with the heads answer!
Then you drop into your heart space, feel the answer for a few minutes from your heart, I feel the hearts answer is gentle, soft, and loving, it’s completely different to what your head says.
Then I drop into my gut, and ask the same question again, the answer that comes from the gut is deeply wise and fuelled with a deep inner knowing. I always follow my guts answer! 🙌🏼 So next time you need to make a decision, knowing if it’s intuition or fear, try this meditation above!
Let me know if you have tried this in the comments below and how your answers were different? 👇🏻💕🧘♀️✨
F E A R ~ that naughty little four letter word that cheats us from some of the best moments / experiences in our life.⠀
Yesterday my gorgeous gal pal @life_above_zero spoke at a women’s empowerment event all about fear ~ and encouraged us to question, how do we perceive fear? We have the power to label it something different. After all, fear is only excitement without breath ✨⠀
So next time you’re scared, you’re fearful of making a wrong decision, of failing, of succeeding, of the unknown ~ take a deep breath, feel the fear, and do it anyway. You never know what magic is on the other side 🔮
And while we are at it...Guess WHO appeared in one of the FB promos for Ironman 70.3 Mont-Tremblant today ???!! None other than yours truly 🤷🏻♀️😂🤣 (pic from last year during athlete’s mark up)....Could this be a sign from above telling me to BE FEARLESS and just GO FOR IT 😱😱???!!!! #fate#feelthefearanddoitanyway#swimbikerun#ironman703monttremblant

Grabbed this book on a whim as I was browsing the library. I have to say that it is one of the most profound books I’ve ever read. I highly recommend this book to everyone since we all deal with fear within some area of our lives but learning to be fearless is something that I think we all hope to achieve in order to reach our goals/dreams and this book will absolutely help with that! “Feel the fear and do it anyway”.
Last night I stepped up and hosted my very first online event, and I’m feeling so damn proud of myself! If I was asked to do this one year ago I would have been in a state of panic, which shows just how much I’ve grown over the last year!.
I’m going to keep stepping up and pushing past my comfort zone because I was put in this planet to do incredible things, just like YOU!.
Nothing happens in your comfort zone gals, push past the fear of the unknown, because life is better on the other side🙌🏽!!.

WHEN FEAR KEEPS YOU AVOIDING THE GYM what can you do? 👇🏻
You want to get in more movement, build strength, and build confidence, but the gym low key freaks you out. I see you
You’re looking for a way to get started but ripping of the bandaid sounds way too painful when you’re doing it on your own .
I’ve been there. I’ve wasted a lot of time on the treadmill and elliptical because I didn’t know what else to do, and I was terrified of embarrassing myself .
What if you didn’t have to do it alone though? Change can be scary, but having a support system to guide you can relieve a lot of it .
DM me or comment on this with a 💜 and you’ll get a free 45 min in person assessment with me to get started on unleashing the confident badass you are
There’s just no way I was going to let you miss out on this..! X
❤️ I have literally just come off a workshop with the amazing @iamcarriegreen founder of #femaleentrepreneurassociation and author of #shemeansbusinessbook and I feel so PUMPED, MOTIVATED AND INSPIRED, that I just had to share a little of it with you...
❤️ Carrie’s entire workshop was a demonstration of how you literally CAN manifest anything you want, but first (of course) you’ve got to know exactly what it is you want 🤣😅
✨ So here’s a little CLARITY challenge... If you had a jar FULL of your biggest, wildest, most delicious DREAMS, wishes and desires, what would YOU like to see in there? X
These last 24 (or so) hours have been a whirlwind, well, a whirlwind relative to the complete stagnant fog that’s been here the last however many months(/years).
I thought realistically about how I’ve been trying to do it drop by drop, do one thing a day, and I realised it was getting me nowhere for one reason or another.
I find when I decide to do something, it reduces my anxiety a heck of a lot more.
So after considering, I decided to stop doing the things that damage me the most, the ‘essentials’ I’m calling them.
Each of these photos may look the same as usual, but they all encompass me breaking at least one habit within them (most have multiple however) or facing a fear within it.
My habits have been foul. They disgust me that I do them. The picking and throwing away, scraping, leaving food, hiding food, not measuring it out correctly, and it all interlinks. If I say to myself ‘I’ll not leave my sandwich at lunch but I’ll still let myself pick bits off’ then I end up still leaving it because I have the ‘what’s the point?’ mindset. It was becoming more rules, ‘you can challenge x things a day but no more’, ‘it’s ok to do one thing but then cream it off the next and try something else’. That is not right, it is creating more rules and more confusion, more overthinking and more stress.
However, I have decided to go at it. Last night I didn’t leave bits of my tea/pick bits off for the first time. That was the start. I won’t go into each specific habit because I’ll be here all night and it may be triggering, but I have also decided to not weigh certain foods I don’t need to. Starting with breakfast, I didn’t weigh my Weetabix (well ‘wheat bisks’ as I’m buying own brand now😅) & then, I feel like a tit even saying this but probably for 4+ years I have weighed apples. I didn’t even dare have one as my ‘fruit’ in hospital because of not being able to weigh them. But today I didn’t weigh it. Even though I was challenging having a savoury side with lunch. And I did it. And did anything bad happen? No.
I am shocked at the things I’ve done, in a good way. At least I know what I’m having, and I’m not lying to anyone.
If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.

I got tired of my own bullsh*t yesterday. Tired of lying and pleasing anorexia constantly. That is not recovery. Recovery means moving forward. I have decided to move forward.
I’d live to know what works for you!
For me what works is a blend and mix of: 🧧Journaling
🤸♂️Moving my body as in swimming or walking or going to the gym 🍓 Healthy breakfast choice that varies because I get bored otherwise! 🙄
Once I have filled my inner cup I am ready for the day!
A pondering poem. I really liked the way my last poem looked but wasn't going to post another in the same design, till i stumbled on this one that I'd written a few weeks ago. When i saw the picture i knew that it was perfect 😍
I was trying to explore that feeling of disconnect thst I get from the persona i project versus how i really see myself. Do any of us also question this or struggle sometimes with the weight of the responsibility?
It occurs to me, sadly, how many do not desire to heal their trauma.
Their whole identity is centered around injuries they have experienced or are embodying from those who came before them.
They have no idea who they are outside of this trauma and that unknown may feel terrifying.
