  • NOTHING SHORT OF ELECTRIC.

Tipping the hat to #Fender’s iconic guitar body shapes, the #Fullerton Series #ukuleles are nothing short of electric. The #Fullerton #Jazzmaster departs from traditional #ukulele construction and aesthetics, while remaining faithful to #Fender’s history. The #Jazzmaster #ukulele’s pickguard, signature finish color options, and 4-in-line headstock can only be categorized as quintessentially Fender. The #Fullerton #Jazzmaster is the perfect choice for the #ukulele player looking to inject the spirit of rock ’n roll into every performance.

  • After the opening date of ‘The Cry Of Love Tour’ at the LA Forum, Jimi, Mitch & Billy flew to Sacramento to perform at the ‘Cal Expo’ State Fairgrounds for the second date on 26 April 1970. The show promoters advertised the concert as ‘The Jimi Hendrix Experience in a beautiful afternoon concert’. The flyer said ‘bring a picnic lunch, a blanket, & a smile’. Blue Mountain Eagle & The Buddy Miles Express were to open the show. The Fairgrounds included a large oval race track with a grandstand on the straight-away on the west side. A stage was erected for the concert facing the grandstand seating. It was was the biggest music concert in Sacramento at the time with some 17000 people packed in to see ‘The Cry Of Love Band’ perform. The show Promoters wanted a background painted on canvas at the back of the stage, so they asked some art students if they would do it. They provided some large rolls of canvas and paint, promising what ever was left the students could keep. They obliged willingly. The idea was to paint the US flag on right side, a trippy abstract peace sign for the middle, and the British Flag on the right due to the fact Mitch was British. But whilst painting at 3am in the morning, no one could remember what the ‘Union Jack’ looked like. Someone suggested the Vietnamese Cong Flag and they painted this for the left side. The next day the Promoters went berserk, but it was too late to change it. Jimi arrived in a White Limo in the staging area and walked up on stage. He wore the same stage clothes as the previous night at the LA Forum. Rumour has it he had partied all night in LA after his gig there, with daylight catching him out. The concert itself started in the afternoon lasting over an hour, Jimi again keeping theatrics at bay, Instead focusing on the music. The set included ‘Lover Man’, ‘Spanish Castle Magic’, ‘Freedom’, ‘Machine Gun’, ‘Foxey Lady’, ‘Room Full Of Mirrors’, ‘Ezy Ryder’, ‘Purple Haze’, with finale being ‘Star Spangled Banner’ and Voodoo Child(Slight Return). #jimihendrix #hendrix #jimihendrixexperience #fender #gibson ##marshallamps #sacramento #california #fuzzface #mitchmitchell #billycox #hippie #60sfashion #60s #70s #blues #rock
