  • @theshutterbrigade printed a limited run of BTS magazines for the premiere of Papercutter. They did sell out. However, you can still purchase them online for a limited time. All proceeds go towards film festival entree fees. Link in my bio. Check out the Q&A!

  • What a fantastic turnout at the 2019 @disabilityfilmchallenge former participants meetup event today.
The audience learned tips and tools from past challenge film creators on what’s needed to be successful at this year’s film challenge.
Good luck to all teams, we look forward to this year’s many 🎞 submissions!

  • Legend has it I was born on the wrong side of the Inca tracks. A chameleon that blends in to his environment. Anyone who knows me knows that must be a lie. I talk loud and a lot. Too much opinion for such a large head. That wasn't always the case. My family knew me as the contemplative son that read books and wrote comics because he couldn't draw them. Mostly, they say I was always watching. Observing. My younger brother craving the center of attention. I don't remember it that way because I guess I had a lot going on inside my head. My mom once drove to the grocery store when I was eight, telling me to get in the back seat, talking to me the whole way, went into the store and left me to read (it was the 80's!) and came back to find me gone. She panicked, cried, then finally called home. Where I picked up, having never gotten into the car in the first place. She had never expected me to respond in the conversation. Then, around puberty, I guess all that thought needed out because I haven't shut up since. I built a foundation of the human condition before engaging with it *I don't know what I mean either.* The same way in which we went through that train tunnel after four days of traversing through the Andes, our minds and bodies exhausted so we couldn't fight what was coming. We then hiked a few more miles, began the steep climb up the cavernous "Stairway to Heaven," and emerged above the clouds looking down upon Machu Picchu. Woke.
