  • Have you tried @bowmar_nutrition’s vegan protein yet? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If not, I get it. You’ve probably tried a vegan protein before that made you gag. Or, you probably think anything vegan will taste like dirt. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I used to only drink vegan protein due to my IBS. So, I’ve tried almost every brand on the market and let me tell you, I feel nauseated just thinking about the taste I had to endure everyday. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
However, I PROMISE you these taste nothing like any other brand’s. Bowmar’s vegan line is hands-down the best of the best. Vegans and non-vegans alike are in love with it! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Since there are samples of each vegan flavor available, I urge all of you to give them a try—you will be SHOOK. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
My rankings of Bowmar’s vegan flavors are: ⁣⁣
1. Blueberry Donut⁣⁣
2. Chocolate Almond Coconut ⁣⁣
3. Unreleased mystery flavor 😏⁣⁣
4. Peanut Butter Cookie ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you’ve tried any of the vegan flavors, what’s your favorite so far?! If you haven’t, which flavor do you want to try?! Comment below and tag two friends to enter my November giveaway! Make sure you’re following me and @bowmar_nutrition!⁣⁣

  • 5+ months of long-distance 😳
.
When I first got back to Florida after taking Trev back to Virginia, someone told me their take on long-distance. She said that it was the worst thing she had ever done, how tough it was and that it either makes or breaks a relationship (things you should consider refraining from saying to someone in that position) 😞
.
Despite what she said (and many others), Trevor and I have been able to create a healthy and happy long distance relationship 🎉
.
I want to share some things that aid in our success:
.
1️⃣ Something that may be our of your control, but that helped us was having an established relationship before going long-distance. Awe had been together for almost 8 months and we felt secure and confident in our relationship
.
2️⃣ We are both busy people and we allow each other to be busy. No need for constant texts and snapchats all day long
.
3️⃣ We make time for each other daily. Constant communication may not be necessary but a phone call at night is a blessing
.
4️⃣ We don’t get upset when someone has plans (or works) late and we can’t have that FaceTime. We hold each other’s best interests closely and finding a social life, work, relationship balance is important!
.
5️⃣ We plan our next trip to see each other before we leave each other (I can thank @ginafromcamp for this one 💕)
.
6️⃣ We cherish our moments together. Since they are so few and far between, we make sure that we are doing things we enjoy and living in the moment
.
7️⃣ Last but not least, COMMUNICATION! Without telling each other about our lives and what we are feeling, there is no way of knowing what is going on in the other’s life. This is imperative for any relationship but especially a long distance one!
.
I’m sure I am missing something. But it is important to remember that long-distance isn’t forever. It may not get easy but it will get easier!
.
I hope this helps someone out there! Sending all my love #digforyourgoals ❤️

  • The actual game changer to improve your overall health and well being: no it’s not a fad diet, celery juice, or keto coffee.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The secret: Do what works for you and makes you feel the best!! Exercise how YOU want. Eat the foods that YOU enjoy in moderation while incorporating more nutrient dense foods. Consistency is everything. The best way to stay consistent is building a routine that’s maintainable & enjoyable!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stop setting yourself up for failure by putting yourself on a restricted diet or by “cutting things out” and telling yourself that you’re going to workout every single day. That is not healthy or sustainable. Instead, focus on creating a balanced lifestyle-one small step at a time.

Erlaube dir ALLE Lebensmittel in MAẞEN.

  • I’d love to get to know you better! Tell me anything... where you live, how many kids you have, what you do for work, what you wish you could do, what are your hobbies or love to do in life, etc.! Here’s a little about me: I am 45 years old, I live in Utah, I am married and have 7 children, ranging from 6-25 years old, I became a registered nurse in 2004 and practiced until 2010 and then decided to be a stay-at-home mom again after having my fifth child. I like to sing and watch murder mysteries. I am fascinated by the habits of very successful people. I am starting a skin care brand very soon and am super excited about it! 🤗 I started this IG as strictly a fitness account in 2015, but have found that focusing so much on the aesthetics of our physiques doesn’t lead to ultimate fulfillment and happiness, however I understand the importance of health and taking care of our bodies and strive to still do my best. 🏋🏼‍♀️ So, now it’s your turn! Tell me something about you!👇🏼Cheers to Wednesday, lovelies! 🥂 #lovethiscommunity #friendship #womensupportwomen

.
⭐️Passez une belle journée 😘

  • ARE YOU LOOKING FOR BALANCE?
-
I think it’s important to get the mindset that ‘my body is the house I live in. If I destroy it then I will have to suffer painful consequences, as I can’t just simply go online and order another one.
-
So what does taking care of yourself look like?
-
Well, for me, it involves balance.
-
Today, so many of us live with imbalances in their lives: working long hours, too much time spent watching TV or online, not enough quality family time, too much stress, not eating properly and not enough down time or sleep.
-
I try to balance my days, but I’m not always successful, because as we all know life happens.
-
A balanced day, for me, looks like this:
⏱ A time for prayer
⏱ A time for studying, as I feel it’s important that I’m always learning
⏱ Time to workout
⏱ A certain amount of time each day for ‘work related stuff ’ (I allow myself 3 - 4 hours a day)
⏱ A time for relaxing and doing something I enjoy
⏱ Have family time, usually a family dinner and playing cards
⏱ And getting enough sleep
-
When I find myself out of balance, I just try to straighten out my priorities.
-
I’ll ask myself, on a weekly basis: Am I satisfied with my progress? Do I need to make any changes? Am I growing and learning?
-
And then, if necessary, I adjust my priorities for the following week.
-
Priorities don’t have to be set in stone, as trying to get balance will require you to be constantly changing things around.
-
Plus, you may realize that something, which was once important, may not be important anymore.
-
Stay flexible and balanced as it will help reduce stress, and make for a happier you!

  • Guys help.. the smoothie bowl obsession is back (and I’m not too mad about it) 🤤
⠀
(Recipe below but let’s have a chat first)
⠀
Something I stand by is eating what you love and loving what you eat 🥰
⠀
This applies to every area in our lives, especially when it comes to health and fitness. Your health, happiness and true inspiration will thrive when you do what you love and love what you do! It’s as simple as that 💁🏼‍♀️
⠀
When it comes to food and health, eating what you love is so important. If you’re not loving what you put inside your body, then how is your body going to love it? I’m not even talking junk food, I’m talking about certain health food trends / foods that everyone does because it will ‘help them burn fat’ etc 🙄
⠀
Think of it this way.. Remember when celery juicing became a big deal and everyone started having it daily? I don’t know about you but celery juice tastes terrible. If you’re chugging back a large glass of celery juice and hating every sip, then imagine how your digestive system will respond. Is it really ‘healthy’ if you’re hating every second of it?! 🤦🏼‍♀️
⠀
These day’s everyone is so caught up on following trends, following crowds and doing things because they think they have to... wrong! You do you 🙌🏼
⠀
Find YOUR balance, know what YOU love and do what makes YOUR body thrive everyday 🙆🏼‍♀️
⠀
Ps. Watch my story highlights for my method on how to make the thickest, creamiest smoothie bowl! 🤤
⠀
You’ll need:
⠀
1 1/2 large bananas (frozen)
Handful frozen raspberries
Handful ice
Splash plant based milk (2 tbsp)
⠀
↠ Blend all of these ingredients until thick and smooth then add the following:
⠀
1 tbsp psyllium husk
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tsp maca powder
1 serve of protein powder (I used 1 tbsp @incaorganics hemp protein and 1 tbsp @botanicablends)
⠀
↠ Blend again until it’s all mixed through
Add your toppings! My favourites are:
⠀
Homemade granola
Nuts and seeds
Shredded coconut
Chi seeds
Cacao nibs
Peanut butter
⠀
Enjoy 💕

  • Check my stories for how to do this!!! Alternate nostril breathing is also called "anuloma viloma" or "nadi shodhana" (in Sanskrit, the ancient language of yoga). Basically you alternate which nostril you breathe out of by blocking the opposite nostril.

Think it’s weird? I did too. But focusing on the sensation of your breath, giving the mind a task, and slowing down your breathing rate helps calm your nervous system and become more mindful. It’s a #winwin

  • If you have decided to start in a gym or with any exercise really, the important thing that you should be thinking about is FOOD. Food is a very substantial part of a healthy lifestyle and goes hand in hand with exercise. Spending money on junk food is more expensive than making a healthy and tasty meal at home. I am planning to start sharing fast, healthy and delicious recipes for you guys, as I know how easy it is to say: "I do not know what/when/how to cook. And I also know how easy it is to get takeaways or have a quick ready meal. Still, in the long run, this is not going to help you with achieving your goals, it is not going to motivate you on your journey, and it is most definitely not going to help you lose weight or build muscles or whatever your goal is.
I know this is being repeated all the time, but I feel like I should mention it again. YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. And yet, many people do not understand this straightforward rule. You are not going to lose weight if your eating habits are unhealthy. You are not going to gain muscles if your eating habits are unhealthy. You are not going to feel healthy if your eating habits are unhealthy... It is not about eating rice with chicken for weeks, having protein shakes instead of meals, skipping meals or feeling like you cannot have a chocolate bar or go for drinks with your mates. It is about finding the balance, and I can help you with this 💕 #FridayFood #findyourbalance #healthyfood #foodandfitness #tipsandtricks #behealthy #eathealthy #youarewhatyoueat

  • For the longest time, I wasn’t getting the results I wanted with how many hours I was putting in the gym.

I was frustrated because the protein I was consuming post workout wasnt the correct kind I should have been using. Not only that, it wasn’t satisfying, made me feel like shit, and honestly I was just becoming a smaller version of myself with ZERO definition.

After researching the differences in protein, I needed a hydrolized whey protein isolate WITH a high glycemic carb.

Why you ask?? When you’re working out intensely, you’re creating micro- trauma tears in your muscles, and you’re using your energy (glucose) throughout your workout to keep you going!

When you’re done working out and putting your body through stress, it’s looking to restore everything you just depleted. It doesn’t care about “looking good”

That’s why I take a ✌🏻 part shake POST workout to not only give my body what it needs, it’s also going to get my body back in a anabolic state ( burning fat gain lean muscle) and restore my glycogen ( gas tank) the 2 products I take are ↓↓ Ignition (carb)→ it’s going to spike your insulin, shuttling the protein back into the muscles, and restore you glycogen. That’s the first thing it’s going to do.

Phormula-1 →( hydrolized whey protein isolate) it’s going to shuttle the protein back into the muscles and digest quickly than anything else out there. If not taken together, and you’re doing resistance training, some of the protein will convert to glucose. Not restoring what you just depleted properly, giving you half the results. It’s also going to help your body recover a lot quicker and get you to achieving your goals faster! Who doesn’t want that?! So... Ignition- refuel your gas tank.

Phormula-1 -starts the rebuilding process a lot quicker, and faster recovery.

If anyone has any questions on the post workout stack that I take and strongly recommend, please reach out and I will be happy to help!

There is nothing like setting the atmosphere of your home with scents. ⁣
⁣
I have always been quite big on home fragrance from candles to reed diffusers and wax melts. ⁣
⁣
So, of course, I was interested to come across @pfkwellbeing, they are a company who are all about wellbeing. Offering everything from yoga to holiday retreats and a beautiful range of home fragrance. ⁣
⁣
At the moment there range consists of 5 fragrances: ⁣
⁣
No.1 - Invigorate⁣
No.2 - Relax⁣
No.3 - Uplift⁣
No.4 - Balance⁣
No. 12 - Joy⁣
⁣
Each of the candles scents have been carefully curated to bring about a certain feeling and are wonderful for using while practising yoga or relaxation as well as just using to bring about a state of calm within the home. ⁣
⁣
All of PFK Wellbeing's candles are an aromatherapy range made from plant-based oils, soy wax and cotton wicks. While the reed diffusers are made using aromatherapy oils blended with a natural vegetable derived, alcohol and glycol free base and teamed with rattan reeds. ⁣
⁣
I will be going more into fragrance, burn time and more, over the coming weeks as I delve into each individual scent. ⁣
⁣
What is your favourite candle scent? ⁣

  • Mid-week slumps happen to the best of us. This Wednesday, or any Wednesday, recharge your batteries with one of these healthy, energizing food & drink and activity options that will make hump day happy!🐫
•
𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒌 𝒊𝒏 𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒔 𝒋𝒖𝒏𝒌 𝒐𝒖𝒕: avoid the drive-thru and incorporate more #omega3 fatty acids into your meals, which promote brain and heart health. Try nibbling on nuts as an afternoon snack and have salmon for dinner.🧠
•
𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔: stretching increases the circulation of blood and oxygen to your muscles, which can help improve #energy levels. Try that new yoga class tonight.🧘
•
𝑯𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂 𝒍𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉: laughter boosts your energy and bolsters your immunity, burns calories and enhances your mood. On over the hump day we can't help but laugh when we think of the Geico Happier than a Camel on Wednesday commercial - Hump Daaaay!😆

  • I said I wanted to live a life filled with 𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖🔥 so I became it. Nobody is going to come and save you, motivate you, or make you a better person. No amount of inspiration will take your life to the next level only action will. ⠀
⠀
I grew tired of sitting on the side lines of life and decided to make shit happen for myself. ⠀
Being lazy and living in my comfort zones only made me miserable and complacent. Now I take inspired action daily and never taking my eye off the prize. ⠀
⠀
If you want your life to be one worth living then you have to make that shit happen babe. ⠀
⠀
You where born to be extraordinary, #dontsettle for anything less.

  • Why I LOVE flexible dieting.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It finally allowed me to have the balance that I needed in my life to be consistent with my diet. I do not use the word diet solely on the “weight loss” spectrum, but more like what I eat daily. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I can now eat pizza 🍕 and drink my wine 🍷 without feeling guilty and thinking THAT is the reason I am not achieving my goals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I can go to a party, have tacos 🌮, eat cake 🍰 and drink a cocktail 🍹 without thinking that tomorrow I have to compensate at the gym.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I do not have to cut not ANYTHING from my diet and I can still achieve my goals. Learning about flexible dieting and how it brings balance has been life changing on my fitness journey.

  • Worried about packing on some pounds while enjoying all that Thanksgiving day has to offer? Here are some simple things you can do to make Thanksgiving healthier!⠀
⠀
🦃Start out with lighter appetizers.⠀
⠀
🦃Pick white turkey meat over dark, and skip the skin altogether.⠀
⠀
🦃Use fat-free chicken broth for gravy and basting. ⠀
⠀
🦃Make fresh cranberry sauce instead of that jelly from the can. ⠀
⠀
🦃Don't skimp on veggies. ⠀
⠀
Most importantly, enjoy the day and give thanks for all that you have!

  • ✨ How to perform a proper kettlebell swing ✨

Kettlebell swings can be intimidating if you don’t know how to perform them correctly. They are a GREAT total body exercise, so today I’m going to break it down into 3 easy steps so you can confidently own them!! 👊🏼 1) Start out using a PVC pipe or some form of light weight bar. This ensures your back remains straight and you can focus on the hip hinge. The hip hinge is the driving force (literally) for a KB swing. It helps you bend over while maintaining a neutral spine to avoid injuring your lower back.

2) Practice deadlifts. The mechanics used in deadlifts are very similar to those in a KB swing.

3) Add the swing. This is where you’ll put it all together. Remember the movement is NOT in the arms, it’s allll in the hips.

Common mistakes ⬇️
❌ Do NOT lower into a squat. Think of bending your hips, not your knees.
❌ Using your arms to lift the KB. You shouldn’t pull up the KB, the momentum generated by your hips is enough to swing the KB through.
❌ Ignoring your core. Loose core makes a sloppy swing and puts pressure on your spine. Keep the core tight and throughout the exercise.

Kettlebell swings are an empowering movement and a great full body exercise. I hope this helped break down the exercise for you and if it did be sure to like and save for later so you can refer back to it! 💪🏼

  • ▪️Bulk 💪🏼 Cut▪️ Repeat 🔁
.
🔶 Fitness is so fun and versatile because you are constantly able make new goals even while doing the same types of exercises. When I first began lifting back in May, my goal was to build muscle and to tone up. I definitely bulked at the beginning and am working towards achieving a more “cut” and muscular look. Left is July ➡️ Right is November 🔶
.
This was my first time attempting to bulk and cut and what’s cool is now I can try it all over again. I know what worked for me and what didn’t, and can keep trying new things. There are so many variations to what you can do with fitness that it’s hard to get bored with it!🤗
.
Happy Wednesday everyone! 💕

I hope this little nugget serves some of you the same that it does me ❤️.
