Still on my way🔜

yayayaya another trip booked!! Going to Florida with my family next week and I am beyond stoked. This is the place I went every year in high school and there are so many memories there - it’s a smaller town so we usually go to all the same restaurants and shops. Only going for a few days bc school is a priority as we narrow down the weeks until the end of the year, but i’m thrilled to be able to go at all. Will this pale rat get tan or sun poisoning? Stay tuned to find out !!

I went through my darkest times alone, sorry if I act like I don’t need anyone..... 🖤 #selflove
If you’re skeptical about bodyweight training, its benefits or carryover to other lifts, do yourself a favor and try some of these bodyweight movements. Single arm pushups, single-arm-single-leg pushups, single arm hangs, single arm handstand holds are just a few that are extremely difficult.
When you learn and practice tension, breathing and proper core training using your body as the resistance, strength, stability and mobility can be vastly improved, and carryover to other lifts will be achieved.
After completing my @strongfirst Bodyweight certification with SFG Master Instructor @_coach_karen_ I decided I was going to spend some time with bodyweight training only. It ended up being four months.
During that time I (almost) forgot about my Beast Tamer goal because I was having so much fun, and improved on all three moves without using a single weight. Not to mention, I learned a number of new skills, and found a new level of motivation and excitement for my own training, at a point where I was mentally and physically at a plateau. While the performance improvements have been exciting and motivating, what I have appreciated the most throughout my bodyweight experiment is that it helped me focus on the process rather than the end result.
It empowered me to become more present in my training and to slow things down.
It empowered me to get creative with the different variations of each exercise to find the appropriate stimulus for that given day.
Finally, it empowered me to remember that training is an art form, and how spiritual the experience is if you slow down and let it be. 💪👊 #strong#bodyweight#bodyweighttraining#strongfirst#performbetter#fit#fitness#training#personaltraining#mentalstrength
Day 5 of Gratitude! I'm very thankful to practice in an environment that:
1. does not make me limit what parts of my education I can use to help my patients.
2. To be able to offer a number of regenerative therapies in clinic.
3. To have a great team to work with.
Naturopathic care, acupuncture, extracorporeal wave, regenerative injections, and so much more help to add to the patients' treatments.

1. You don’t have to worry about people staring at you all the time, judging you or wondering what terminal illness you’re suffering from
2. You don't cry out in pain every time you sit on a chair, because you finally have some padding protecting your bones.
3. You don’t spend hours lying in bed awake instead of sleeping, because all you can think about is how hungry you are
4. Your body functions at a level you never thought possible. Everything doesn’t just “hurt” anymore. Your body starts to work WITH you, not against you.
5. You stop fearing food. You begin to realise that it is one of life's many pleasures. You are able to go out with friends, catch up over brunch and ENJOY yourself.
6. You stop obsessing over food and exercise, giving you the ability to focus on your other passions, like studying, music or dance.
7. You finally have the energy to get out of bed every morning. You finally have enough strength to open the car door. You finally have enough stamina to walk up a flight a stairs
8. You reclaim control of your life and your future. You can go back to work, to uni. You can continue building a FUTURE for yourself
9. You begin to live with FREEDOM and WITHOUT FEAR.
10. You get to be HAPPY.
Honestly, working towards recovery is the BEST THING you will ever do for yourself. .
Don't be afraid to take really small steps.
Don’t be afraid to take your time.
Some days may be harder than others.
Some days may feel like you’re going nowhere.
But when you look back, you will realize that you have come further than you ever though possible
Keep it up 💪🏽 Keep Fighting

“The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That’s what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they’ll go through the pain no matter what happens.” —Arnold Schwarzenegger ❤️💪🏼
