————————————————————————————
A lot of people have been noticing a difference in me the past few weeks.
I’ve had a fair few comments about the change in my energy and happiness and yes I have to say its true. I do feel different.
With the comments also came a realisation;
The Lightness that people are starting to see on the outside is only a reflection of the energy I’m cultivating within me.
I’ve striped everything back, I’m working less (believe it or not). I’m writing more. I’m pausing more. Gone are the days of pushing and ambition.
Now I’m just following (with intention) those paths that are so beautifully laid infront of me.
Flowing into them,
Into life exactly how it should be.
If you take anything from this post let it be this, pause for yourself, make space and time for what’s important, what makes you free connected and see what flows from there!

Woke up earlier than usual to hit leggies with @mariana6.h {bod goals}😇
Trying to make early morning workouts my new thing instead of midday to try & be more productive! -

Also trying to decide if I should do a cut with summer coming up or just stay where I’m at 🤔 thoughts? -

  • A few thoughts on prep:

1. Listen to your coach, and only YOUR coach. You hired them for a reason, trust them! Don’t blindly hire a coach. Before choosing one, talk to them, ask for client references or talk to other competitors about their coach experiences. Don’t just some guy at the gym who looks jacked but has rocks for brains and says he can get you on stage for free. NEVER TRUST FREE.

2. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else’s body, nutrition, weights, or physique! Following others can be a great source of motivation, but if you are constantly looking at competitors to see if you could beat them… get the fuck off your phone, and start working your ass off and be so good that you’re undeniable.
3. Mental health is key. I’ve started past preps while being very depressed and also dealing with eating disorder behavior. Prepping while also going through this never led to me bringing my best. Getting my mental health in-check is my first priority. While competing may seem like its just physical, it’s what is on the inside that will make or break your success.
4. Don’t compete just to win. There is no such thing as a “guaranteed” win. You don’t know who will show up to the stage that day. I think it’s great to aim for the best placing possible, don’t let the placing determine whether or not you are successful. Did you bring your best? If yes, then you won.

5. Competing is VERY expensive, have your finances in a good place and figure out how much doing a competition is going to cost before you start. National shows get expensive with traveling. I love the sport, but don’t go into debt just to compete.

6. Don’t wallow in your suffering. You will get hungry, you will be tired, you will challenge your body and mind in ways you can imagine. But remember YOU SIGNED UP FOR THIS. I have ZERO pity for competitors when they bitch about being tired or hangry. If you aren’t suffering, then you probably aren’t pushing hard enough. Embrace the struggle.

7. ENJOY IT! Mindset is EVERYTHING.. if you dread going to the gym every day and think that eating clean, weighed out food is torture.. then maybe you shouldn’t compete. Fall in love with the process💜

  • So, you want to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle? That’s great!! BUT- before you start some crazy fad diet with the hopes of looking good, make sure you set yourself up for success!✨
___
All too often, we set off on a weight loss goal to *look better*- && don’t get me wrong, wanting to look good and boost your confidence is completely fine!
___
But, what I’ve come to realize is that the results always seem to be short lived when looking good is the sole focus. 🤯
__
Why? Well, wanting to lose weight just to look good just isn’t going to yield long lasting results 🤷🏻‍♀️
___
In fact, you actually run into a lot of issues with it- such as body dysmorphia, weight gain rebound, or even eating disorders.
___
For example, back when I was competing years ago, I set off with the goal of “looking the best I possibly could” 🤦🏻‍♀️ -&&&, ya know what? I got down to 8% BF, but still wasn’t satisfied (body dysmorphia), then I wound up struggling with binging (eating disorder), and eventually rebounded big time (weight gain). All as a result of feeling like I never looked good enough.
___
Now, it’s no secret that my weight has fluctuated over the years (scroll my feed and you’ll find several transformations)- but over a year ago, I reached my goal once and for all 🙇🏻‍♀️
___
&&& For the first time ever, I can say I lost the weight and maintained it too 🤗 How? Well, instead of trying to “lose weight to look good”, I set off with the goal of FEELING BETTER- crazy!! 🤯🤯🤯
___
Now, like I said don’t get it twisted bcs I am ALL for losing weight to boost your confidence, but if you want to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle for the long haul, your goal shouldn’t just be to “look good” it should be to feel great! 🙇🏻‍♀️
___
Are you ready to feel great? Then, you’re in luck! Because by popular demand, @tazzitraining is bringing back Feel Great in 8, our eight week challenge that’ll provide you the tools to help you live a healthier lifestyle and reach your goals once and for all!

  • It's important to hold yourself accountable when you've been in the wrong but when you did all that you could and things drastically ended, you have to stop beating yourself up because there's nothing you could've done to change the outcome. What's meant to be will be. Now stop overthinking it and breathe... live again.

  • Success in anything will come down to this: Focus and Effort.
.
And we control both.
.
Remember that. Be willing to work your ass off, be willing to get uncomfortable, and have the dedication to stay the course.

  • Balance

We all want to feel perfectly aligned in EVERY facet of our lives
But guess what this does?

It causes us to feel like an epic failure when we DONT.

I can with 100% honesty say that there is NO ONE out there who is 100% satisfied in EVERY area of their life.

Love
Parenting
Friendships
Relationships
Career
Connection to something greater
Finances
Health and Fitness
Where you live
Hobbies
There will ALWAYS be at least one of these that are not up to your standard

And guess what?

That's ok my beautiful friend

There is no PERFECT balance
But there is progression
Steps in the RIGHT direction
These dont need to be huge either
Just choose an area of life you are lacking

Find someone to help you identify your goals and move towards them with proper accountability
And voila
You will feel MORE balanced ❤

Be honest

Doesnt that take ALOT of pressure off?? Which of these do you want to work on?

  • 👻 DEBUNKING MYTHS EP. 1 👻⠀
⠀
Welcome to my new series eeeek 🎉 This series is going to cover multiple exercise and nutritional myths and to use collated sources and research into why these myths are technically ‘myths’ 🤪 ⠀
⠀
Episode 1 is covering ‘The Anabolic Window’ What is it and does it really exist ? 🤷‍♀️⠀
⠀
• So what is it and where did it originate from? ⠀
⠀
It is a window of time (30 minutes) post workout where you have to be consuming protein in order to ‘repair’ your damaged muscle tissue (from the workout) as quickly as possible to avoid rendering the session useless 🔸 ⠀
⠀
• Does it really exist? ⠀
⠀
The anabolic window still has merit as yes you do need to consume protein and carbs during the post workout window if you want to maximise your recovery / glycogen replenishment. BUT this does not need to rushed in 30 minutes to ensure gains! ⠀
⠀
However! ⠀
⠀
🔹 Utilising what we know about the autonomic nervous system it would actually be detrimental to consume large amount of foods immediately after working out. ⠀
🔹This is because we will still be in a sympathetic state (from pre workout, increased heart rate, general training hype) therefore we are not in a rest and digest state ⠀
🔹 So it’s kinda in the name our bodies are going to find it difficult to digest the food we are consuming and therefore it won’t be being used to re store our bodies🔸 ⠀
⠀
So I suggest waiting 60- 90 minutes to allow for heart rate to reduce to baseline (for yourself) and prioritise easy digesting proteins and carbs sources ie cereal and protein shake ! 🔸 ⠀
⠀
MYTH BUSTED ! ⠀
⠀
Hehehe that’s it everyone hope you enjoyed the very first episode of ‘debunking myths’ and let me know if you have any myths you want me to cover and I’ll get researching 🧪 ⠀
⠀
Love you all so so so much! Can’t wait for a fabulous week with you all 🌸🤍🌸🤍
