Daydreaming about setting sail to the Bahamas! 😍 Each year we have the opportunity to earn a fully paid trip to a tropical destination...not on OUR DIME 😉
Tomorrow we are leaving to hangout for a few days with our mentors in the business, who have turned into two of our best friends along the way! We’ll be catching up with them at their house until we set sail on Sunday with the rest of our team ✨ I am still taken back and humbled that I have such a community of people who think the way I do, want the same things out of life that I do, and who work their asses off for their own dreams instead of someone else’s!
This business continues to evolve into one of the greatest things in my life and it’s the people who I meet and work with that MAKE it SPECIAL! Still cannot believe this is what I do for a living, but I’m beyond grateful I found it!

Last Saturdays sessions was focusing on stability through the shoulders with some strict pin press to start, but with a twist 👀 then we moved on to clean and press working on form and this is a new movement for everyone so it’s trying to nail that technique with me shouting words like “pigeon” “use your legs” which are slowly becoming stuck into their minds. ..

Getting super lean involves, to some degree at least, being uncomfortable. Not just in a “you can’t eat the foods you want” kind of way, but in a “you will probably be very tired, grumpy and hungry ALL THE BLOODY TIME” way. -
It’s not easy getting super shredded, and that’s why you don’t see many people achieve it! If you are looking to get lean, here are some tips that have helped me: ❌ WATER: not only can we mistake thirst for hunger leading to unnecessary eating, water can also help with bloat and water retention. I aim for 3L through the day + 1L during my workout.
❌ VOLUME IN MEALS: I love to eat so small, pissy meals just don’t cut it! Adding lots of veggies and salad to my meals is a great way to add volume without adding lots of calories. ❌ KEEP BUSY: Whether dieting or not, when you bored you tend to snack. Keeping yourself busy will stop you thinking about food. ❌ DON’T FORGET ABOUT CALORIES FROM LIQUIDS: Milk coffee, alcohol, fruit juices, soft drink etc all contain calories (mostly empty calories). I’m not saying you have to cut these out, just be mindful as they can add up quickly! ❌ IT IS NOT FOREVER: Generally when trying to get lean, it’s for a specific purpose or event (show, photoshoot, wedding, etc.). Reminding myself that there is a light at the end of the tunnel always helps me stay on track. ❌ GRATITUDE: We are CHOOSING to avoid the abundance of amazing foods we have readily available to us. Some people do not have access to food at all. Put it in perspective 🤷🏽♀️

🤜🏼 get yourself a pair of gloves on right at the beginning of the session - trust us, time is precious
🤜🏼 hold the shield by placing your dominant arm through BOTH of the parallel handles, place other hand on the top handle
🤜🏼 when punching, make sure to keep your elbows in and rotate your arm out into the shield
🤜🏼 when kicking, ensure that the top of your foot and lower shin is what connects to the shield, not your toe!
🤜🏼 when receiving a punch, the shield should be held tightly in front of your body’s
🤜🏼 when receiving a kick, the shield should be held at the side of the body and moved to the other side as the kicking leg alternates.
