  • POST PARKRUN COFFEE ✅⠀

I’ve felt really nauseous this morning “a bit like a hangover or morning sickness feeling ” 🤣 (to confirm it’s certainly neither which @guysmith1982 is very relieved about the second one !!) so during my parkrun warm up I thought about maybe just spectating! ⠀
⠀
However I really enjoyed this mornings parkrun! Great turnout at Rising Sun especially with lots of familiar faces from Heaton Harriers . And of course @Sjn2083 and my husband who both ran brilliantly.⠀

And my own time I’m happy with! (Shock horror that’s a first!!) ⠀
⠀
Not sub 22 which is what I set as my goal on Monday. However I didn’t push the first mile too hard because I was nauseous so I didn’t expect to. But I was able to run a really strong 3rd mile which is always my weakness so I’m seeing a massive improvement in my running and feeling confident I’m getting a lot stronger. The last hill I even overtook 2 people on which normally it’s me being passed 🤭 ⠀

Considering my course Pb is just 25 seconds faster, I’m happy with this mornings run and time! And I don’t feel wrecked like I did when I last ran a PB!! ⠀

Now to enjoy a child free anniversary night away with the hubbie 🌟⠀

Day 23 Mindful Movement Challenge!!

This month went so fast! I am so happy for the warmer weather that will Be coming our way, sunshine to play outside in, and the increased zest for life I feel when I get to be outside.
One of my favorite things when I worked 12 hour shifts was the ability to take more walks outside. I love the job that I do, but I miss what I am able to do with my days off during the week. I miss my neighborhood. I love my neighborhood and the quiet circle we live in. And I miss the extra time with my kids. More carefree days.
My grandmother used to say “the world is my gym, Heather.” What she meant was to find the simple ways in life that you are already getting exercise. Don’t look for the closest parking spot, park further away and take those few extra steps. Always take the stairs. Don’t put the laundry in the upstairs bathroom, because walking those few flights of stairs with a basket of clothes in your hand is good for you. Lifting toddler’s. Rocking babies to sleep. Going to the grocery store, not having it delivered.
I now find a table or heating vent I can use for tricep dips. I do calf raises throughout all of the patients I see (they just think I am excited to test them 😉😆). Etc etc. If you are willing to see, you will find what you need.

  • My angel. My everything. The reason I have a 6 pack from laughing so hard everyday (lol jk guys I don’t have any packs right now but I should if this were true!!). This girl tho, she’s tiny but she’s a fighter. At 20 weeks gestation she was tracking to be a very normal sized (7.5-8lbs) baby. She was also 50% in height and head circumference. By 28 weeks all that had changed. My little bean had dropped below 10% and continued to drop to < 1%. The doctors could not figure out what was going on in there at that time. Later on tho I developed a rare pregnancy induced disorder which resulted into having to get her out ASAP. I’m just so proud of her for growing as much as she could under the conditions she was in the second half of my pregnancy. We never had to go to NICU which was unbelievably shocking to everyone involved considering the # of scares we had and distress she was in during my 36 hour labor. She came into this world amazing me & continues to do so everyday. I’m so proud to be her momma! I love reading similar stories of thriving babies through all sorts of circumstances so thought I’d share a lil more of my babe’s story💕#hellpsyndrome #iugr

Ici petit bilan mesurés après 20 jours de sport : .
➡️ -5cm de tour de taille ( actuellement 79cm ).
➡️ - 1cm de tour de hanche ( actuellement 90cm ).
➡️ -  1,5cm de tour de cuisse ( actuellement 54,5cm ).

Par contre mon poids ne bouge pas ! j’arrive pas à tomber en dessous de 66,2kg ! pourtant je fais super attention à l’alimentation, je vais au sport ... .

enfin bref je me focalise pas sur la balance non plus car je vois que les cm bougent donc c’est que mes efforts et mon travail payent 💪🏼💪🏼

  • The other love/ hate relationship I have with my body is my hair. .
Love: 💖I love that it grows so quickly
💖I am loving that I have kinky curls again 💖I love that I can leave it in one style for a week
💖I love that I only have to wash it once a week

Hate:
😠it takes so long to detangle 😠it takes so long to dry
😠it takes so long to do 
The main reason i dislike my hair is time. But in the 3 years since I went natural my hair is the healthiest and longest it's ever been. Clearly I still need some time to get into a routine of dealing with my hair and it  should get more manageable.

  • Exercise saved my life! Literally! When I had no one I could turn to I turned to myself and taught myself how to be strong, be healthy and get my shit together.  I turned to and trusted my body to work with me instead of against me when I thought I had no place on this planet.  Training my body has taught me more about me, and others, than reading any book, studying any course or paying any guru ever could. Training has allowed me to connect with my body and drive it instead of it driving me.  Having my mind connected to my body and vice versa through taking care of myself physically has been the biggest gift I could have ever given to myself 🙏💕 #nojudgement #judgementsucks #physicallyfit #mentallyfit #physicallystrong #mentallystrong #warrior #meditation #fitmum #brainbodyconnection #fitness #strength #gymgirl #mid40s

At every point in life, we all have to embrace our bodies regardless of our dress size and confidently remain happy through it all. I for one am still trying to re-orient myself cause: age is ⬆️ (thank God 🙏🏾) and well, the body has popped 3 umuaka aka bambinos aka children. The mouth also always eats their remnant food 🤣😂🤣.

In the grand scheme of things I'm far from an unhealthy weight/size but I am aware that tweaks have to be made to maintain what I had once taken for granted. Diets are something I have never been on so yeah, it's a mindful long-term process to eat healthier than I usually do cause this sister can NOT diet to save her life. Btw, shout out to mamas like @shapeupwith_mrsmurphy and @naijafitmoms that are doing an amazing job of helping folks with healthy living. Go ladies 🙌🏾🙌🏾 😊.

PS: just tried a new fitness class and burned 600+ calories in an hour for the VERY first time in at least 4 YEARS!!! What💃🏾? What💃🏾? Yay to tweaks 😊💃🏾😊💃🏾😊

[PETIT RETOUR DE MARCHÉ]

C'est samedi et le samedi, on part sur nos vélos, faire un petit tour de marché, compléter ce qu'il nous manque, ce que l'on n'a plus de la semaine passée.

C'est tjs un moment agréable à passer.
Déjà de part la balade en famille, sur nos vélo.
Ensuite, de part la sympathie des commerçants, producteurs, sur place.
Les enfants adorent être à hauteur des légumes, les sentir, les prendre dans leur main pour les mettre dans nos sacs, d'eux même ils se dirigent vers des légumes tel que le chou romabesco parce qu'il est beau !

Ils discutent avec la petite dame, elle leur épluche une carotte et prend bien le temps de leur couper pour qu'elle ne soit pas trop grosse pour eux.

On papote, on sourit, on s'amuse 😊
Attention, je ne dis pas que je ne vais plus du tt au supermarché mais j'évite au max !
