Sometimes nothing beats a big bowl of pasta, and I haven’t had one in ages! Despite the giant roast, after the boxing class at @rathboneboxing and a million steps last night I feel like I have still been in need of allllll the carbs today 😂. So this properly hit the spot! Food is fuel peeps and I seem to be needing lots atm 🤓🤟🏼

DETAILS:
▫️ 75g 50/50 fusilli pasta (dry weight)
▫️ @nakedgloryuk vegan tikka strips (v kindly gifted)
▫️ Broccoli
▫️ Courgette
▫️ Mushrooms
▫️ Aubergine
▫️ And a load of Napolina no added sugar tomato & chilli pasta sauce 🍅🌶

Absolute winner! Now for an evening of chill as I’ve been at my desk all day (besides this morning’s pancake cook off 🤪 - which is coming in the morn!!) and to carry on the new Netflix series I’ve started 🙆‍♀️

  • HEALTHY CHOCOLATE CHIP OAT PANCAKES WITH VANILLA PROTEIN CREAM CHEESE // It’s Pancake Day peeps! Here’s some recipe inspo for you... these are so delicious. Chocolate chip oat pancakes, topped with a vanilla protein almond milk cream cheese whip, a little liquid chocolate, more chocolate chips and strawberries!🍫🍓 🥞

Recipe (makes 6 pancakes): Ingredients for pancakes:
1 medium banana (approx 100g)
100g @quakeroatsuk Jumbo Oats
185ml @alpro Unsweetened Almond Milk
1tsp Baking Powder
1tsp @organicburst Maca Powder (optional)
1tbsp Dark Chocolate Chips

Ingredients for Vanilla Protein Cream Cheese Frosting:
35g @awesomesupps Vegan Vanilla Protein Powder
30g @nushfoods Almond Milk Cream Ch.ese
1tbsp @alpro Unsweetened Almond Milk (you may need more depending on the protein powder you use)

Toppings:
@sweetfreedomuk Liquid Choc Shot 
Strawberries 
Dark Chocolate Chips

Method:
Using a blender, grind the oats into a flour. Add the banana, milk, maca powder & baking powder and blend until smooth. 
Stir in the chocolate chips once the mixture has been blended. 
Ladle about 1/4 cup of the mixture onto a non-stick pan and cook for approximately 2 minutes on each side.
Meanwhile make the cream cheese frosting by blending all the ingredients for the frosting together until thoroughly mixed and smooth. 
Top the pancakes with the frosting, Liquid Choc Shot, strawberries and a sprinkle of dark chocolate chips.

  • Happy pancake day 🥞

Blueberry and banana oat pancakes from the @strongandsxy app 🥞

Recipe ~ (Makes about 8 pancakes): Per pancake on average (dependant on which milk/ egg you use): 113cals, 4g protein, 15g carbs, 4g fat.
Ingredients:
100g rolled oats (or gluten free)
1 tsp baking powder
2 eggs or 2 chia/ flax eggs (1tbsp or 10g to 3tbsp water)
1 mashed banana
200g blueberries
150 milk (your choice)
Rapeseed oil
Toppings of your choice 
METHOD:
If you are not using eggs then start by making the chia egg/ flax egg by combining chia seeds or flax seeds with 3 tbsp of water, mixing well and allowing to sit and thicken for around 5 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the oats and baking powder.
Mash the banana and mix it with milk and eggs.
Mix the wet ingredients into the dry until well combined.
Heat a saucepan, add a drop of oil to the pan and add a dollop of pancake mixture.
Cook until bubbles form and the edges are cooked.
Scatter over blueberries and flip the pancake over.
Cook for a few minutes on the other side and repeat steps with the rest of the mixture and serve.

Listen the reason intermittent fasting works Is you are eating your total calories for the day in a smaller window of time. Usually from 1 pm to 8 pm at night. For most, this means you are consuming fewer calories….. CALORIC DEFICIT 
This is the real key, it does not matter what nutritional plan you like as long as you are in a caloric deficit you will lose FAT. So if you like intermittent fasting, Keto, Paleo, Whole 30, Zone whatever do it! What you need to know is how much you are eating, how many calories are you truly consuming.  If you don’t know that there is not a diet (nutrition plan) out there that will make a difference. 
Let’s make it really simple…because I am all about SIMPLE!! This will help you get an idea of where you might need to be with your calories.
You are 145-pound women that sits behind the computer for most of the day. You go to a Zumba class twice a week, so your activity is minimal. Take your weight and times it by 11 because of your activity level. You should be eating around 1595 calories a day. This is a very basic way to figure out what you need. 
If you are eating more than that cut back on your calories, if you are eating less than that you need to eat more. The most important thing you want in your daily nutrition is protein!! Find a plan that you like, and you will stick with remember consistency is the key.

  • 🚨LET OP! SLURPALERT!🚨 Tada! Spicy tuna udon soep! 🐟🌶️ Ik zal heel eerlijk zijn. Thuis ben ik niet de opperbamisoepmeester. Sterker nog. Als we bamisoep eten dan mislukt ie als ik 'm maak.😅 Maaarrr... Ik heb geleerd van de tips en vandaag wilde ik eens een ander soort noodlesoepie uitproberen.

En het is gelukt hoor! Deze pittige tonijn udonsoep is echt perfect gelukt! De tonijn en limabonen heb ik kort gemarineerd met wat ketjap, chillivlokken, knoflook en gember. Daarnaast kook ik de Udonnoodles in sterke visfond en voeg ik daar  wat extra geraspte gember en chillivlokken aan toe.

De tonijn bak ik echt letterlijk 15 seconden zodat ie alleen aan de buitenkant gebakken is en zet ik aan de kant om later de noodlesoep mee te garneren. 
Wanneer de noodles bijna gaar zijn, gooi ik de noodles met visfond in een koekenpan en voeg de grof gesneden pak choi en lente-ui toe en laat het nog 2 minuten even sudderen.

Geloof mij... dit wil je. 😋
