Over the past few months, I have invested greatly, both time and money, to learn things that I felt would contribute to a better life such as nutrition, fitness, self-improvement, nature therapy and more. Turning down a social obligation in favor of a healthy meal and a good workout means taking time to find your own center point to get healthy and grounded. I become in a much better position to serve those around me in a sustainable way when I’ve taken care of myself first.
When doing pullups or lateral pulldowns always make sure to depress your scapulas before doing the movement. After that really focus your mind on your back muscles. You should feel your scapulas internally rotate.
Don't rush this exercise by creating momentum or using your arm muscles too much. If done correctly - slow and controlled - you not only work your back muscles but also your shoulder flexibility.

Does your back hurt when you do ab workouts?
I've had a history of lower back pain which doing ab thinking it was normal until I addressed the issue. I realized my core was weak and my lower back was compensating for my weak abs.
Do this one exercise to strengthen your abs to take the pressure off your back.
➖Place your heels on a support so that you can do a sit up like the one seen in this video. ➖Lay down on the floor and come up slowly, engaging your core, starting with your head picking up one spine at a time. ➖When coming down don't just flop on the floor. Slowly come down one spine at a time. ➖This will help strengthen your core and take pressure off your back if you have back pain while doing ab workouts. ➖If you don't have back pain this is a great workout just to do to strengthen your core.
