  • Sunday = meal prep day 🍚

Who prefers to pre prepare their meals? I know if I don’t, I will eat about 11 snacks, or just Raif the pantry after work, until I realise I should have just made a proper meal.

For the next few days I have: 120g chicken made in the air fryer, 1/2 cup jasmine rice & ?? Stir fried vege mix with extra broccoli (and a few sesame seeds for good luck) .
.
Today has been a MUCH NEEDED day of rest - cooking, naps and Netflix. It’s not my scheduled rest day but I’ve had a full on week and my old injuries aren’t too happy with me so rest it has been 🤗🤗

  • 1 week into the 16 week challenge down! It’s been enjoyable so far as I’m already beginning to feel more energy and improvement in my training performance. I’ve been consuming 3600 calories per day with one day of fasting per week (today). I had lost 2.3kgs prior to today which is more then I had anticipated but I expect a lot of the initial weight loss would be water. Feeling great heading into week 2 💪😁

It’s an industry that overloads us with information and can leave so many people feeling overwhelmed and confused.⁣

Before I had my baby I was so focused on having the perfect body, I tried every diet, I was exercising over an hour 6 days a week, feeling exhausted and my body never looking any better. Just thinking back to this makes me feel depressed. ⁣
⁣
Since becoming a mum, my perspective on a lot of things has changed and the main one is, health and wellbeing. I believe that less is more, and that more mums should be nourishing themselves rather than punishing themselves. ⁣
⁣
Without even adding exercise and diet into the picture, most of us work, run or manage a business, have to drop our kids off to school, look after our loved ones, go grocery shopping, cook, clean and the list goes on. ⁣
⁣
It’s so easy to be swept up in all this madness, feeling guilty at the end of the day for not doing more or being enough. That’s crazy…woman are AMAZING! ⁣

So are men, but right now I’m here to talk about the lovely ladies. It’s time to stop pushing yourself into a hole and start nourishing your body and mind! ⁣
