  • #15weekspregnant Do you know why I love different season of life? They keep us well rounded and our thoughts and hearts towards what really matters in life. It’s okay to have a love and passion for fitness. Heaven knows I certainly do! 😆 but if we don’t see our bodies for more than the aesthetics, meaning, for instruments to bring about much good, then what’s the point of being healthy and strong?

Why I love focusing on health and strength.
.
♥️ it gives me goals to work toward - working towards goals and learning to become the master of yourself helps you increase in love for yourself, and self confidence.
.
♥️ it gives me my me time as a mom.
.
♥️ it is a great outlet for stress. I don’t use it to ignore my problems bc it is a stressor in and of itself. BUT sometimes it feels great when life is frustrating to move heavy weights and just work through my emotions!
.
♥️ taking care of myself physically helps me be more happy and positive. I just feel better in mind and body!
.
♥️ eating good foods helps me think better and actually allows for a better emotional state too. Don’t get me wrong, I love my treats! 😆 but overall eating good Whole Foods makes me feel so good 😊.

None of these things have anything to do with what someone looks like. But it elevates me mentally and emotionally to enhance my life overall ♥️.

  • I couldn’t hold it in any longer! Baby Perritt is joining us this fall 🐦

We are so incredibly excited and thankful to start our family. I am in awe at Gods creation as we were able to hear a heart beat from a tiny 6 week baby, it truly is amazing.
.
I know there are some of you reading this who may be struggling with infertility or miscarriage, I can’t imagine the hardship you’re in but just remember God is always good. I am praying hard for you in the name of Jesus, hang in there ♥️

  • 18 weeks and the size of a bell pepper. 
I’m feeling baby girl just about every day roll around when laying on my back. She even decided to move over last night while her daddy was talking to her. He couldn’t feel her move, but that side of my belly get very hard while he was chatting. 
I’ve been more tired than normal thanks to some major insomnia, restless legs and potty breaks. Hopefully getting our bed back in about 2/3 weeks will help make things more comfortable. 
We have 11 days until we are heading to our new home in Northern Japan and 2 days until our Baby Shower with our close friends. 
Baby Girl is already loved by so many, especially by her three older furry siblings.

  • This evening... I witnessed the cutest & saddest thing at the same time... I had my birthday 🎂 weekend away- now it’s Mike’s turn to getaway for the next 3 nights.  We thought it was important that each of us take some time doing something fun- and time away from the kiddos.  A chance to have some alone time, adult social time, and SLEEP 😴 ! Lol 😂 
With that being said- Cooper went nuts when he realized Daddy was leaving!  He threw a huge tantrum and was crying 😢! Wish me luck over the next 3 days!

And don’t forget- taking time for you away from the kids from time to time is important.  You’ll come back refreshed and appreciating your family life that much more 💕

In different times of my life I’ve been plagued by anxiety, overcome with sugar addiction and binge eating, trapped in self doubt, lost in a struggling marriage. Those things at one point were my “pieces of the ground”. I had two choices: sweep them under the bed and pretend life was fine OR bring the pieces to Jesus and ask for help and restoration...

I now allow this little platform to be a way for Jesus to use those restored pieces. I share my struggles and story with you all so that they may encourage or inspire someone reading. There’s always someone who can relate to your story!⠀

  • How do I find time to workout?! This is a question that I get ALL time. It may sound simple, but I just make the time for it, I make it a priority. I work full time outside of the home, and have two boys, aged 5 and 3, and I’m pregnant with babe number 3 (if you hadn’t noticed 😂🤰🏼). I carve out time each week and usually get in 4-5 workouts. My workout schedule is usually the same each week, but each day is different, if that makes sense.
.
Monday - I bring gym clothes to work, and head to the gym straight after.
.
Tuesday - We have a running club at work, and up until a few months ago, I was running 2-3 miles. I’ve switched to walking for the time being.
.
Wednesday - I work from one of our other locations, which is closer to one of my gyms. I get to work early and then hit the gym on my lunch break.
.
Thursday - My work offers either a weekly fitness or yoga class, which I almost always participate in, if my work load allows.
.
Friday - Rest day
.
Saturday - My husband and I take turns going to the gym.
.
Sunday - Rest day. Although I plan to start doing a little prenatal yoga since I’m only 8 weeks away from my due date.
.
I hope this helps! Basically, you just have to find a schedule that works for you and your family. If you have a family, then you definitely need a good support system. And most importantly you have to want to make it happen! If you do, then you’ll find a way.

Trying to make you crazy.
Trying to push the boundaries.
Trying to kill herself by pulling off outlet covers and trying to stick Bobby pins in! 🤪
Trying to learn how to be sassy.
Trying my patience.
Trying new mood swings every 3 seconds.

I’m thinking maybe it’s a full moon or maybe she’s TOTALLY different than her sister, but this week has seemed long already 😅

What I have learned is that I need to take more pauses. I need to stop more and look at her and her sister when they talk. I need to give myself A LOT more grace for the big personalities that I’m dealing with and the long hours of mommin’ I do every day.

Imperfect mamas and perfect grace is where you’ll find me during this season. Also maybe hiding in a closet occasionally 😁

The day we got engaged 💍
I was around 273lbs maybe more or less
I didn’t weigh myself 🤷🏼‍♀️
.
On the right was last weekend 
29 weeks pregnant (I wrote 28 on my stories oops 😂😂)!
258lbs (don’t really care) after starting at 220lbs (def not my thinnest or fittest after 3 pregnancy losses in 8 months my hormones and body were crazy) 
But I understand the difference between healthy eating and not. 
Yeah I’ve had Froot Loops, Girl Scout cookies, Mac and cheese, and fries and CRAVED milk but I’ve also had tons of fruit and veggies and healthy proteins .
Im so glad that I learned HOW to use proper portions and what they should look like
How many servings I should eat of different foods 
And just knowing how I FEEL when I eat well and stay active and I believe it’s made a world of difference in this pregnancy! 
I’m always down to help if you’re struggling 
I don’t believe in giving up food groups or hoarding points but I do believe in fuel and enjoying a damn cupcake. .

  • I was embarrassed to admit how hard it was for me when Christian was gone for nine days last week. ⁣
It’s funny because Christian was actually the “clingy” one when we were dating. I was still happy and content in my independence while dating, and we had countless fights based off of Christian wanting to hang out when I didn’t. ⁣

Marriage brought out a lot in me that I had never experienced before in my life. Now I’M the clinger. I always want to be around him any chance I get. I cried every time Christian was able to call me from Honduras because I felt so sorry for myself. I missed him and felt empty. ⁣
⁣
It’s crazy how easily I drift away from the Lord. I wanted to rely on Him and feel content at home alone. I wanted to use my time the best I could and not wallow in my sadness. ⁣
I planned on spending quality time with the Lord every morning, working harder than ever at my coaching business, saying “no” to my junk food and sweet cravings (what I turn to when I’m sad), and not sitting in my loneliness feeling sorry for myself. I failed in all of these areas. ⁣
⁣
Still, God forgives us and provides a relationship with Him to stay grounded no matter what our circumstances are. I want to believe that truth so much more! ⁣
⁣
I am so grateful for my wonderful husband, our precious baby, my coaching, my fitness, and so much more...⁣
But most of all I’m grateful for how patient God is with me while I stumble along in this journey.

  • Lots of changes are happening in the 3rd trimester - but mostly you’ll be noticing how big your belly is getting and how out of breath you are. Don’t let that stop you from getting that exercise in, just decrease your intensity.

Here’s a few tips: 💥Focus on good posture. Stand up straight and pull your shoulders back. Poor posture throughout your pregnancy (especially late in the game) is the major contributor to back and hip pain. 💥Invest in a belly support band. It may feel silly but it’s a total game changer especially during your workouts. We love @baobeimaternity belt. 💥Invest in an exercise ball. It’s great for opening up your hips and working your pelvic floor. It will also come in handy when labor starts AND after baby arrives. 💥Spend 10 minutes a day doing shoulder opening and back strengthening exercises (more to come on this). 💥Stay Hydrated - dehydration is on cause of early labor. 💥If you haven’t started already, make sure you are rolling to your side when getting up from the floor or out of bed to minimize or avoid Diastasis Recti.

Sean and I went to the track and walked for close to 30 minutes and got 1.41 miles in. I’ll take it! Plus, it came with a side of decent conversation. 😉 When we got home we both got a quick KB/DB workout in. 🔳
I grabbed a heavy KB and a set of moderate weight DB’s. 4 sets of the following performed as a circuit. Rest as needed. I personally had to take a restroom 🚽 break between each set 🙊😂. 🔳
1 KB deadlifts x 20
2 DB thrusters x 10 (pause in bottom of squat for a sec)
3 DB step up with knee lift x 10 
4 DB RDL (slow/pause) to curl x 10

Movement, even if for 10-20 minutes, is my goal from here on out. The third trimester is drawing nigh (4 days) and my morning sickness has decided to reappear. I’m doing what I can with the energy I have and I’m proud of that. AGAIN, so grateful for some warmer weather, sun, and a gym in our garage. It’s time to cancel my membership at PF, LOL, that lasted like a month.

  • It is just one of those weeks you guys.... 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am feeling SO in limbo, and it’s driving me slightly crazy. 🙈 We move in two weeks, but it’s still a little too early to start packing up our apartment because we still need to eat and live our lives. Our apartment by the way is FILLED with boxes of baby gear in every corner. I want to put all of the baby things away and organize the nursery and start feeling prepared for John’s arrival, but can’t really do any of that until we get settled into the new house. The weather has me trapped inside to soak in all of the chaos that is our house 24/7. Annnnnnd I’m officially getting uncomfortably pregnant. 🤰🏼 FUNK-A-LICIOUS. Send help. Send encouragement. Send wine. #ohwait #nowineyet 😅

  • A little over halfway through the month and I'm just super excited with how many girls I've been able to help get started with their fitness + nutrition. It's a really big step for some people and can be a scary thing but after been working hard on myself for the past 3 years, I know how rewarding it is!!
It's okay to have doubt when you start and its okay to be scared to make this commitment to yourself. Everyone has hard days and no one is perfect but its important to realize that everyone deserves to make themselves happy and take time for them. Be selfish and take time for you everyday and don't feel bad about it! Heck I workout with Dominic and it's not always easy but it teaches him that exercise is good for you! 
This past week I've also learned so much about taking him grocery shopping with me and letting him pick out a new veggie to try each time to make it fun! 
We've gotten into the habit of making quick unhealthy meals and I'm not about to have my kids grow up unhealthy and ever feel negative about their body's or food.
Following these workouts and learning how to eat right 3 years ago has seriously changed everything for me and it's just so exciting to keep adding to my team!

  • In an accountability group I’m in, we were challenged to do a few extra moves at the end of our workout today. Normally, I’m all about these quick challenges. But not today. Not when I feel 80 years pregnant 😂 but I did the moves I could, modifying most of them. I refuse to let the “excuse” of pregnancy get in my way.   • ✨32 weeks preggo✨and this belly only feels good with stretching! Round two of “belly breathing” not only helps activate and strengthen the transverse abdominals (TVA- Aka your Deep Core) for birth, but helps stretch and give a little release to that growing belly.🤰🏼
💥#FunFacts of these last couple weeks:
 1) Found out my lower Rectus abdominals(the visible abs you see when you build your abs) are too strong and need to be loosened up. I’m not allowed to be engaged in any heavy training these days until this baby drops head down. They need to loosen and create space for my baby boy, so belly breathing and lots of walks has been my training!
2) As you can imagine, this has been mentally and physically challenging to submit to my body needing to change yet again, and realize that this season is about releasing my norm to what my body and my baby need.
3) I am proud of my strong body, and know it will work in my favor for delivery, however I’m learning how to relax it as much if not more now than I spend strengthening it. A strong but OPEN body is what will help during labor and delivery.•• 💪🏼Safe Prenatal Routine:
Slide 1️⃣&2️⃣: Belly Breathing both seated and on all fours: inhale as you relax your belly(think of a balloon filling up) and as you release and exhale, pull that belly button up and in as if you are tightening a corset. For the kneeling one I do the same breathing as I activate my pelvic floor by performing a kegal. As I exhale and pull my TVA up and in, I am thinking of pulling up into my pelvic floor as well. Don’t hold your breath, but breathe in and out for a few counts.
Slide 3️⃣: Bird Dogs: safe back, core and stability movement for pregnancy. Since they do activate the Rectus abdominals slightly I will be staying away from them until my baby flips and has space to drop down.

  • ✨32 weeks preggo✨and this belly only feels good with stretching! Round two of “belly breathing” not only helps activate and strengthen the transverse abdominals (TVA- Aka your Deep Core) for birth, but helps stretch and give a little release to that growing belly.🤰🏼
    💥 #FunFacts of these last couple weeks:
    1) Found out my lower Rectus abdominals(the visible abs you see when you build your abs) are too strong and need to be loosened up. I’m not allowed to be engaged in any heavy training these days until this baby drops head down. They need to loosen and create space for my baby boy, so belly breathing and lots of walks has been my training!
    2) As you can imagine, this has been mentally and physically challenging to submit to my body needing to change yet again, and realize that this season is about releasing my norm to what my body and my baby need.
    3) I am proud of my strong body, and know it will work in my favor for delivery, however I’m learning how to relax it as much if not more now than I spend strengthening it. A strong but OPEN body is what will help during labor and delivery.•• 💪🏼Safe Prenatal Routine:
