  • Doing more is ❌ getting more done

In fact, sometimes it can mean you’re just exhausting yourself, ruining your metabolism and running your body to the ground. Just because you’re going to the gym more, lifting more weights, eating less, doing more cardio, that’s doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re getting more done. -
Sometimes thinking smart is the way to do it, you’d be surprised to how your body  react to doing less BUT right. Maybe lifting more but not the right way, eating more but wrong macros, eating less but nutrient deficient.  when you’re eating the right amount, enough nutrients, doing enough (and not too much) cardio and  giving yourself rest,  working out however always make sure that’s when you’re working out you’re giving it everything, that’s when you will see true, LONG LASTING results.

Stick to a plan designed for your body type, activity level, history of dieting and eating. Remember it’s an individualistic thing and your needs will differ from someone else’s.

Definitely heading back into the pocket next block and cleaning shit up so we can make this a secondish attempt. BUT, plus side 3 reds (386lbs) has fallen UNpeaked. 10kg/22lbs over my comp best so we workin🤷🏾‍♂️ ... #pocketboyz #brickbybrick #12weeksout

The Quadriceps are 4 (obviously) muscles that work together to extend your knee. They join together into one tendon which passes over your kneecap. The Rectus Femoris also helps flex the hip⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

They are a strong muscle group that often gets overly tight and pulls hard on the lonely tendon trying to hold them together at the bottom. Stretching, foam rolling and barbell smashing them will help loosen them up if they are getting tight⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I would suggest that you put the majority of your focus on front squats, back squats and lunges when training your quads. The leg press can suffice and a narrower, lower foot position will target them more. Using this tactic or the leg extension machine should mostly be done by people who either are doing bodybuilding and want to isolate their quads or if a health professional has advised them to do so. For your average person, squats and lunges will do the trick.

  • A little recap from Saturday’s glute focused leg day. I used the leg extension machine in between to break it all up a bit. Unfortunately also forgot my resistance band so I couldn’t do my usual glute activation buttt I definitely felt this on Sunday. 🍑🔥 Swipe to see my workout (not including warm up or cool down).
