LETS CHAT YALL... I know the thought process, because I’ve been there too: eat less = lose more. And yes, this is true but to AN EXTENT
.
🌸We all got this thang called our metabolic rate (BMR). Our BMR depends on a lot of things like our weight, height, age, gender etc. Whatever our BMR is, that’s how many cals we burn a day. Pretty simple, right?
.
🌸Now, this is what happens when you don’t eat at least as many calories as your BMR: your body freaks the f out. Starvation mode kicks in, your body begins to slow down your BMR, and you begin burning less calories during a day than you normally would. And those fat stores you want to be gone? They ain’t goin NO where unless your body feels it’s the absolute only choice (cause, ya know, your body just wants to keep you alive)

SO WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?!!

Reverse dieting:
The process of slowly adding more calories into your diet to increase your metabolic rate and (in this case) lose fat.
.
🌸I know it sounds crazy: more food = weight lost?! But yes it’s true! If you’ve been eating below your BMR or even near it for a long time, it’s time to wake that BMR back up!!

  • Day 30 of my 12 week program. Funny that it feels like longer but the first time chucked the camera on. 
Im working behind the scenes, trust me 🤣. Diet is the hardest. Gym stuff is cool, just trying to stay consistent. 330am alarms and at the gym by 430/5am in London. 
Empty place this Easter weekend haha.

  • Don’t mind me... I’m just over here changing my life 💁🏼‍♀️ I’ve lost weight before in a very quick and unhealthy way. This time around has really tested my patience because of how much slower the progress have been 😩😂 But that’s how i know this is not just a quick fix, but a healthy lifestyle 🙌🏻 The photos on the left are from December/ January and the photo on the right is from March. I’ve progressed even more since the March photo!! ☺️ ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Can’t wait to continue to share my progress on here ♥️ I encourage you all to take photos of your progress. I know taking that first photo is going to be hard. You don’t feel or look your best. 1️⃣ Diagonal Kick backs on the floor with Cables 🍑
2️⃣ Front Squat into Side Kicks on Cables 🍑
3️⃣ Bent over kick backs with a bench 🍑
4️⃣ Banded Crab Walks on Cables 🍑
5️⃣ Banded Kickbacks on the row machine seat 🍑
6️⃣ Hip thrust pulses on the leg extension machine (push your Weight) 🍑
7️⃣ Hip thrusts (lower your weight & pay attention to my feet here) 🍑

  • B•O•O•T•Y W•A•R•M U•P or Glute Activation, whatever you choose to call it it’s crucial to my leg days! Here is my pre leg day routine:
1️⃣ Stretching 🙆‍♀️ 🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️
2️⃣ Warm up 🏃‍♀️ I like to jump rope, use the stair stepper, or a tiny HIIT sesh for about 5 minutes to get my heart rate up 💦
3️⃣ Glute Activation (AKA this videooooo 😉) I do 5-10 reps of each exercise once. Take it slow & focus on mind to muscle connection here. I make sure to squeeeeeze my booty in each exercise to really make sure they’re activated and READY 👏🏼 TO👏🏼 WORK 👏🏼
