What can I say about this duo @aerialashlex ? I’ve watched them evolve before my eyes in the most sensational of ways. Two girls at the inception of their aerial journey came together 2 years ago to create an inseparable partnership (that sometimes borders the romantic 🤣😜) and powerhouse doubles team.
As instructors it’s our job to teach, guide, and open a new world to our students and we do our best to give all we can everyday. There are times when students need that extra input, that one push, or those words of encouragement that will inspire them and it’s up to us to let them know we are there for them. Before long we realize we have taught them just about everything we know... and then it’s time for them to surpass us. @aerialashlex reached that point somewhere along the line and im proud to have been a part of their growth. I wasn’t there for every hour of practice, the numerous fails, the hundreds of video analysis, or every moment of breakthrough, but I was there to see the leaps in progress from one routine to the next. It’s an unexplainable feeling to see students turn on the flames of analysis, deduction, creativity, spontaneity, daring, perception, and fluidity and make this art their own. This will probably be my weirdest video as I wasn’t able to do all the stretch I wanted to show you. Reason ? Not enough wall space 🤦🏽♀️ there is NO free wall at home 🤷🏽♀️ but luckily I still have words 😜
So 1st version is the legs up the wall. Remember to get your bum as close as possible to the wall to be the most effective.
2nd, unseen, variation would have been a straddle split. If you have enough space, from legs up the wall you can separate your feet into as straddle and relax.
3rd is figure 4 still against the wall
