  • King pigeon has become one of my favorite poses to practice. It opens the hips, is a nice quad stretch and requires stability in the legs and openness in the shoulders.

It's also such a deep backbend, that when I come out of it I feel a rush of energy, like my whole body has suddenly come more alive than it's ever been. It's like a high, and something I had never experienced in yoga until I started practicing this pose (and kapotasana). As I continue to deepen my practice, I am constantly reminded of the endless benefits of yoga and the ways it improves your body, mind and spirit; making them all more fluid, flexible and one. It is truly the practice that keeps on giving.

Do your practice and all is coming. ✨

  • D’ora in avanti voglio portare un progetto qua su instagram dove ogni tanto pubblico foto di alcune allieve con le quali nel corso degli anni ho instaurato un rapporto di amicizia e che stanno crescendo nei loro percorsi per diventare dei ballerini professionisti, sperando che negli anni queste foto possano portare un sorriso a loro, ai genitori e alle insegnanti che ci dedicano anni e anni per far raggiungere ai loro studenti i loro obiettivi.
Qua nelle foto una piccola ballerina @caterina_capacci_ballerina della scuola @ateneo_danza, una garanzia di scuola.

  • Today we had a blissful morning with a fabulous yoga practice up in the Bhutanese Himalayan mountains, where wildflowers bloom in all of Mother Nature’s glory.

After a healthy tuck-in at breakfast, we embarked on a 5 hour long trek. Yes, a 5 hour long trek!!
.
.
You see the glorious mountains behind me? We climbed right up to the top - and then back down!
.
.
It almost seemed as though we were walking through the clouds. The lush green grass (tho covered in yak, cow, and horse poop) was scattered with beautiful violet, pink, and white flowers.
.
.
The trek uphill was a toll on my Rubenesque bottom, with my quads and calves burning away as the thinning mountain air caused me to huff and puff like a mythical Big Bad Wolf — no, I didn’t burn a house down!
.
.
Downhill, it began to rain; and the lush green trail turned swamplike and slippery! If uphill was exhausting - downhill was a daredevil act of sorts!
.
.
However, kudos to the amazing @ashishr20 who not only stayed by my side throughout- but like a gay guardian angel - held my hand throughout the trek, encouraging and motivating me with love and plenty of sass!!!

Mountains are hard to climb up and trickier to descend - but life is an ever turning wheel that the yogi learns to mindfully navigate through its ups and downs with peace and love

Yaş ilerledikçe eskiden başın üstüne kolayca koyabildiğiniz ayağımıza eğilemediğimizi fark edebiliriz😱😱😱… Bu esneklik kaybı doğal bir süreç olsa da, az egzersiz yapmak ve uzun süre masa başı (ya da aynı pozisyonda durarak) iş yapmaktan dolayı da gerçekleşir.

Bu hafta sizlerle paylaşacağım 5 egzersiz bedeninizin esnekliğini ölçmenize yardımcı olacak. Hareketleri yapmadan önce ufak tempo koşu, zıplama, squat ve bacak hareketleri vb ile ısınmanızı öneririm.
Omuz ve Boyun esnekliği: #ustrasana , deve pozu
Dizlerinizin üzerine gelin ve parmaklarınızı yere takın...
Geriye doğru bükülün, ellerinizle sırtınızı destekleyin...
Burada rahatsanız ellerinizle topuklarınıza uzanın...
Eğer kolaylıkla hareketi yapabildiyseniz , takılı parmaklarınızı yere indirip pozda 5 nefes daha kalabilirsiniz🧘🏻‍♀️
Baş dönmesini engellemek için poza girdiğiniz gibi adım adım çıkın... Güneşin ışığı içinizde parlasın,
