💙heat skillet with extra Virgin Olive oil
💙cut desired veggies (tip: I like to cut up a ton at once and throw them in a container for quicker prep time) I cut zucchini 🥒, onions, peppers🌶
💙cut up one organic chicken sausage (always check the ingredients make sure it’s real food and nothing sketchy) I used @bilinskisausage
💙let food sit on medium heat for about 4-6 minutes
💙once it is about cooked add in a ton of spinach (it always amazes me how much it shrivels up)
💙top with some sea salt and it’s optional but a dash of coconut aminos teriyaki sauce is amazing. I also added pumpkin seeds for a crunch

  • saw @olive.eeeats post today about her 14 month hiatus from instagram & boy can i relate💆🏻‍♀️💆🏻‍♀️ this photo is from last summer - a time when i was struggling with my body, relationships in my life, and my eating. it was weird - i didn’t want to keep this instagram going, but i loved it so much. i had so many brand deals happening and so much to look forward to. but, i dreaded posting everyday. i dreaded opening the app and responding to comments. i stopped posting around november of 2018, and didn’t really start again until a few weeks ago. the break from my “job” and being an “influencer” was the best decision i’ve ever made. gave me so much mental clarity on life and helped me work through a lot of things i don’t think i would’ve dealt with if this account was still going. cheers to the future of this account and putting your mental health > everything else 🥰🥰 feels weird to be posting even now because i still have so much to work through, but i know my journey is something y’all are interested in, so here we are 💛

High in protein, low in calories - these squares of heaven are an absolute game changer. It was important to me when I started cooking all my macro friendly snacks to create recipes that don’t taste like you’re having “alternatives”. I wanted my brownies, blondies, cookies, etc to taste like I was on cheat day but just minus the guilt. And (what feels like) 2000 trial batches later I’ve cracked it. 
I always add that I’m not a professional (my videos will show you that... I usually have batter in my hair) but I am passionate about this hobby. It’s really early days for me but I’m excited about starting this. I know it’s not for everyone and I totally appreciate that, but for those who have sent me lovely supportive words, thank you 💖

  • made this black bean pasta mixed with some tahini for dinner. I like to end my days with meals that are simple (because ya girl is tired) and are a bit more packed with protein so that I don’t end up feeling too hungry in the middle of the night 🌒 .

ingredients:
1 cup of @traderjoes black bean pasta
1 zucchini, julienned 
1/2 cup of mushrooms, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons of tahini
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
1 stalk of green onion
1 tsp of avocado oil 
1 clove of garlic, minced
Handful of sesame seeds

how to cook:
•bring a pot of water to a boil and toss in your black bean pasta for 8-10 minutes (or until soft)
• in a separate pan, heat up avocado oil and add in garlic, mushrooms and zucchini. sauté for 8-10 minutes, adding water to deglaze the pan • remove boiled pasta from the pot and rinse under cool water to stop it from cooking. then add your pasta to the pan with your mushrooms and zucchini. mix together for 2-3 minutes, combining the ingredients
• move all ingredients to a large bowl, adding in the tahini, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and green onion. mix thoroughly
• salt and pepper to taste (sometimes I’ll also add in a squeeze of lemon or some red pepper flakes)

  • Today was an ice cream-and-park kind of day. For no reason other than it was a gorgeous day and I wanted a cool treat with my girls. 🍦 The beauty of intuitive eating is I don’t have to wait for a cheat day to enjoy a cup of black raspberry chocolate chip, or eat less at dinner to make up for it or exercise more to burn it off.

I know my body will do the work it need to digest and utilize the delicious nutrients from that ice cream, and I know when I’m tuning in to my body- it will tell me if I need more or less of anything.

It didn’t happen overnight- I didn’t wake up able to eat a cup of ice cream and think nothing of it and move on with my afternoon. It was a long time before one cup of ice cream was enough and I didn’t feel like I needed four more to be satisfied because I felt so deprived. But here I am friends. Enjoying every last bite, on a Wednesday afternoon, for no reason at all- in fact, I couldn’t think of a better reason. 💕

  • One of my fave granola is this oil-free coconut cinnamon granola 🥣 So easy to make, yummy & still crunchy eventho its oil-free 😍

Ini udah lama bgt sih bikinnya, cuman berhubung lumayan banyak yg nanya gimana caranya bikin homemade granola dan aku udah jarang bikin granola lagi, jd ku post yg ini aja deh 😂 Bikin granola itu sebenernya gampang bgt dan bisa divariasikan sesuai selera & bahan yg ada. Kalo gak mau ribet sih mmg gampang tinggal beli karna udah banyak jg kan merek granola diluaran sana tapiiii so far, aku masih blm nemuin granola yg ku rasa enaaak gitu. Masih merasa enakkan kalo bikin sendiri wkwk 
Oil-free Coconut Cinnamon Granola
➡ 11/2 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup kelapa parut kering
1/4 cup biji-bijian (aku pake sunflower seeds) 
1/4 cup mix nuts (aku pake almond & kacang mede) 
1/3 cup mix dried fruits (aku pake cranberry & kismis) 
2 sdm chia seeds
1/2 sdm kayu manis bubuk
1/4 sdm pala bubuk
1/2 cup gula kelapa (bisa ditambah kalo suka manis) 
1/4 cup air
➡ Campur semua bahan kering: rolled oats, kelapa parut kering, biji2an, mix nuts & chia seeds di mangkok besar. Aduk rata, sisihkan. 
Masak gula kelapa dengan air, kayu manis & pala bubuk sampai mengental, sisihkan. Sementara itu, panaskan oven suhu 190°C.
Kemudian, campurkan bahan kering ke adonan gula tadi, aduk sampai rata. Siapkan loyang yg sudah dialasi baking paper, tuangkan granola mentah. Ratakan.
Panggang selama +- 30 menit, aduk2 setiap 15 menit sekali supaya matang merata. Di 5 menit terakhir, campurkan mix dried fruits aduk rata kemudian panggang lagi. 
Setelah granola matang & crunchy, keluarkan dr oven. Biarkan sampai benar2 dingin lalu, masukkan ke toples dan tutup rapat.

Put on a baking sheet and pop into the oven (even if it's not preheated yet)
Prep carrots. Avocado oil, pink salt, smoked paprika.
Put on one side of baking sheet and put in oven. 
Prep tilapia. Dump chili and like seasoning all over each piece. 
Pull out carrot baking sheet, put tilapia on other side. Return to oven. Set timer for 15 minutes. If not done let cook up to 5 minutes more.

  • Instagram didn’t like my grocery haul and deleted my photo so I guess I’ll share my dinner instead. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Today was a great day. I made up for lots of lost Duke snuggles. I bought a ton of food to make some awesome recipes created by my friends. And then I got a massage... because I wanted one while I was on vacation but didn’t want to spend double what I usually pay. 🤑 Great decision.

I bought a ton of food to make some awesome recipes created by my friends. And then I got a massage... because I wanted one while I was on vacation but didn’t want to spend double what I usually pay. 🤑 Great decision.

  • Unpopular opinion: planned dinners stress me out. I admire those who are able to stick to a routine, but for me planning every meal ahead of time leaves no room for creativity or spontaneity. Instead, my grocery shopping is a bit sporadic consisting of a few staples + whatever protein, vegetables, fruit, and starch I’m feeling in that moment. Throughout the week I mix and match and freeze the rest. What works for you? Comment 👇🏼👇🏼

  • Unpopular opinion: planned dinners stress me out. I admire those who are able to stick to a routine, but for me planning every meal ahead of time leaves no room for creativity or spontaneity. Instead, my grocery shopping is a bit sporadic consisting of a few staples + whatever protein, vegetables, fruit, and starch I’m feeling in that moment. Ingredients
1 lb pizza dough homemade or store bought
1 tbsp olive oil
1 pack Lantana hummus
3/4 cup grape tomatoes halved
1/2 cup marinated artichoke hearts
1/2 cup olives pitted
1/3 cup pine nuts
1 tbsp parsley

Instructions
Heat the oven to 450F.
Using your hands, spread the pizza dough on a pizza pan. Brush with olive oil.
Bake in the oven for 13 minutes until light brown and cooked.
Take the crust out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Spread Lantana hummus on the flatbread and top with tomatoes, artichokes and olives.
Place a small pan over medium high heat and toast the pine nuts, stirring occasionally.
Add the pine nuts to the flatbread and top with parsley.
Slice and serve immediately.

had a bunch of random veggies in my fridge so just threw this #foodcombining approved meal together for lunch !!!!⠀

🌟i used:⠀
bok choy⠀
sweet potato⠀
carrots⠀
avo⠀
broccoli ⠀
brown rice ⠀
sesame seeds⠀
red pepper flakes⠀
1 tbsp coconut aminos⠀
nutritional yeast⠀
s&p⠀
coconut oil⠀
2 tsp sesame oil⠀
brown rice⠀
coconut milk ⠀
⠀
🌟to make:⠀
cut carrots in thin slices (like above), sweet potatoes into cubes, and broccoli ⠀
⠀
preheat oven to 425° then roast all of the veggies but the bok choy for 15-25 min or desired amount ⠀
⠀
while the veggies are roasting, sauté and steam bok choy in a pan with 1tbsp coconut oil and 2 tbsp water... add spices if you want⠀

my brown rice is the quick easy rice from @traderjoes but i cooked that with coconut milk for extra flavor⠀

add everything in a bowl and top with spices, coconut aminos, sesame oil, nutritional yeast and serve !!!!⠀
