Inspired by a traditional heirloom tomato, bocconcini & basil caprese salad- I added refreshing cantaloupe & tree-ripened peaches for a nice little change. Another salad that packs plenty of H2O 💦 loaded with fruit & veg!
.
2 cups of sliced organic cantaloupe 
2 cups of sliced peaches or nectarines 
2 cups of sliced bocconcini
handful of fresh basil leaves
1 tsp of sumac!
for the vinaigrette 👇🏼👇🏼
juice of 1 lemon 🍋
1/3 cup of good quality balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon of raw honey 🍯 
sea salt and pepper to taste 🧂 
2-3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive or avocado oil!

Instructions 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Place all ingredients into a bowl and toss to coat well with the vinaigrette. Garnish with a little more fresh basil Served cold; best enjoyed right away!🍑💦☀️

Baking for a team of hard workers this week. Giving the oven a break today. .
This is probably Canada’s most iconic and controversial baked good. Should there there be raisins in the gooey filling, or not? Do you want to start a heated debate on any street corner or coffee shop in our country, just ask that question! (I’m Team No-Raisin, but I will accept pecans or walnuts.) Personally, I feel that I’ve eliminated the need for the question, by putting Canada’s favourite doughnut flavour (Maple Bacon) in mine instead.
