  • School starts a week from today! 😱😭 I love having my kids home and this summer flew by and I feel we didn’t even have time to relax. You think my kids teacher would understand and give us a month extension? 🤪
All joking aside, it’s time to think about school lunches and these easy pizza rolls will be in rotation!
They come together really fast with any kind of pizza dough but are a breeze if you buy it. I love Whole Foods pizza dough as well as Trader Joe’s! I used @raoshomemade marinara sauce and it’s phenomenal in here. Some grated cheese and pepperoni, all rolled up then cut into cutest little rolls and in the oven they go! 
My kids love them just fine at room temperature so it’s a good treat for lunch every now and then! .

  • Back home in Croatia there is a dish made with octopus and potatoes ‘hobotnica ispod peke’ that I miss so much that I decided to do a simplified version at home. All I could find was baby octopus but it worked just fine for this. 
I simply seasoned the potatoes and  cleaned octopus with some olive oil, salt and pepper and a little bit of garlic and then I covered it with aluminum foil and baked it for about 30 minutes. 
The octopus releases it’s natural juices and once it is done you mix it well together and it all creates this special sauce, it’s just the best. I finish it off with some chopped parsley and a little bit of coarse sea salt. 
On the side I served less traditional basil aioli but it paired so well with this dish!

  • Happy Friday everyone! My first attempt at making Shakshouka! I sorta improvised by adding pulled beef along with veggies and served it with toasted garlic bread, the new Aarong garlic flavoured cream cheese spread.  Everyone loved it and I am so happy about it! ✌🏽

  • [Recipe] Happy Humpday folks! 2 more days to wknd though I'm gonna be having a crazy weekend at the Singapore GP. ☺️ Feeding my family today with Hong Kong Stewed beef brisket paired simply with rice and a veggie stirfry.
My fav whenever I'm in Hong Kong.

I used a leaner cut of brisket from Aust and would hv love some tendons too but I didnt manage to get them. Traditionally cooked with daikon but I forgot to buy so used potatoes and carrots. 😁🤫 A simple agak2 recipe below! Enjoy Cooked everything in a stove-top pressure cooker. 
Recipe:
1 kg beef brisket (cut into cubes)
Thumbsized ginger (sliced)
4 cloves garlic (bashed with skin on)
2 star anise
1 cinnamon stick
2 bay leaves
1 pc orange peel( I omitted cos didnt hv it)
1 daikon (or my version- 2 potatoes and 1 small carrot☺️)
Sauce;
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp chu hou sauce (pic3)
1 tbsp shaoxing wine
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp dark soya sauce
1 pc rock sugar
1 tbsp corn flour + 1/4 cup water= slurry

1. In the cooker, pour some oil, add in ginger, garlic, star anise, cinnamon and the bay leaves. Fry for a min to release flavour.
2. Add in beef brisket and stir till a bit brown
3. Then add in all the sauce except corn flour slurry. Stir for 3-4 mins. 
4. Add 1 ltr water. Cover and pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles
5. Release pressure and add in daikon/potato/carrot. Boil till soft.
6. Serve with rice or egg noodles.

This was @blujamcafe 's signature dish and it was without a doubt the best French Toast I've ever had!! Flavour and texture really came together. With just the right amount of sweetness ❣️and a very pleasant crunchy texture and topped with berries 🍓. It was literally food porn in my mouth 🤤. ⁣
