It's prop swap time... my first set of tri blades on this guy were looking pretty, pretty beat up. So I installed a set of the props that can be mounted inverted that @8bitchrist_fpv sent me a while back. They look a lot more aggressive as far as pitches and angles go... I think 😂 the old set didn't seem to have the punch I desired, seemed to require a lot of throttle to keep it in the air. I'm hoping these props help with that! 🤞 #fpvlife#fpvflying#fpvaddict#drone#fpv#dronelife#dronestagram#props#tinywhoop
Introducing the Spintech Slipstream! I’ve taken the past few years of knowledge from designing, racing, and manufacturing quads and poured it into this frame. It uses a hybrid x frame geometry, meaning its front arms are stretch X, and the rear arms are true X with a wider motor base. This design is inspired by the race-winning 5 inch hybrid x quads, and it really gives a locked in flying feel. Really needs to be experienced to understand how good it is. Since I cut my own frames, I’ve been able to really dial in the geometry, which has literally taken months of tweaking. The Slipstream uses a 4mm US made carbon fiber bottom plate, and has braced arms for extreme strength and rigidity. No more broken arms! I’ve also been able to really dial in my 3D prints, so they’re extremely high quality. The design incorporates some cool 3D printed features like the VTX antenna holder, a belly pan that helps reduce battery ejections, and an area for mounting the receiver underneath the camera. These were all design considerations to eliminate the amount of dangly bits that get broken or lost. Lastly, a signature component of Spintech frames is of course the paintable vacuum molded polycarbonate aero canopy, which I’ve been able to make almost indestructible. I’ve always loved the look of customized and painted canopies and I’ve spent a lot of time dialing in my vacuum molding process. Thanks to all of my customers and years of support, I couldn’t do this without you, and special thanks to @marblekit for helping me test the designs and for incepting the hybrid x idea into my brain! Hope you all like it. Special pricing until July 8th, and will start shipping July 1st. I make these frames to order, so they will go out in the order they have been received. Thanks again, and happy flying! 3in 9mm motor mounting and 3in 12mm motor mounting versions coming soon..
