I often play devils advocate in peoples lives, regardless of my own opinion or perspective. I like to ask questions that involve forcing a person to think outside of their existing reality. Some people become angry with me or defensive, believing that their perspective is the only perspective worth having. Some people feel like I’m being an ass, because I ask questions that take them away from what they know, which pulls them out of the comfort zone. Or because it makes them feel like I’m “not on their side”. These days it feels like people either agree with one another...or fight with one another. It seems the art of deep discussion has been lost. Expanding ideas is not the same as losing yourself to them. Expanding ideas simply creates the ability to understand where others might be coming from.
To see the world through someone else’s eyes, without judgement or without bringing our own truths into this understanding, opens up the doorway for a truly loving acceptance for every human and every individual reality. Alternative realities exist, open minded thinking is opening up to love, and there are infinite possibilities to every situation. Do not make your truth the only truth, regardless of how certain you are in this always shifting “now” moment. Holding onto a single thought, remaining stagnant in truth, and allowing the ego to rule the heart...is a recipe for hardship. The distance between the most educated and the least educated person on this planet is vastly insignificant to the distance between the known and the unknown. Know enough to know, that you don’t know anything at all, and there you have found wisdom.

The start of something rather different today. An Autumn throw with huge seed pods. I tacked everything down first, and then hand appliquéd the shapes. This is Seeds and Stems, by Kathy Doughty of Material Obsession. Once again, I've gone for an Australian designer. I really love the energy, and rich colour saturation in this fabric range. The pieces are huge- the seed pod is about 14" long! Even though this is a simple quilt, I still had to think about the details, and a few pieces had to be recut to get the best out of the fabric. Simple doesn't mean thoughtless. I bought this as a kit at Pour L'Amour Du Fil in Nantes last Spring. I decided to only buy fabric that I could not easily obtain at home. I wondered what my husband would think, as I usually use traditional fabrics and small pieces, but his reaction was very positive. So I'm off on another quilting adventure...
And I'm still not using an iron!

Se han olvidado a qué huela la luna - @taburetegram 🌈✨❤️
I am filled with so much love and joy right now still dreaming about last nights concert. 💭
Dancing on my own in a crowed full of people in the rain, singing to the songs that have been filling my heart for the past few months since @alexasearth introduced me to them. 🎶
And in that moment I really felt infinite. ♾

September is the gateway to my soul. Welcoming Fall with an open heart today, it’s my absolute favorite season. You too ? Maybe it’s because I was born in November, maybe it’s because I am obsessed with pumpkin everything, whatever it is, something stirs inside me. .
Who’s excited for boots, crisp air, beautiful foliage, falling leaves, walks in the woods, honey crisp apples, pumpkins, sweaters, scarves, and my favorite, extra cozy mornings wrapped up with a hot tea + sweet snuggles 💑🐶🥰 ? .
Life can be long,
Long enough for you to stand up again after fall down.
Long enough for you to awake after lost in illusions.
Long enough for you to know who you truly are.
Life can be short,
Too short to compromise on the norms & expectations that are not meant for you.
Too short to accomplish all you truly want to do in life.
Too short to stay asleep.
Life can be long or short, we never know what will happen in the next minute. Don't make the choice that you will regret in the future. Make the effort on things you always want to do regardless of the outcome or how others think of you. You don't have much time & energy for bullshit + things that are none of your business.

Jewellery is such a personal thing. When you buy a piece of jewellery with meaning, you don’t just take home something beautiful, you take with you a piece of nature and all the symbolisations that entails 🙏
Trees and leaves have a deep-rooted meaning in virtually every culture to walk the earth. The symbol of the tree of life has been around for centuries. A tree can be a representation of families and is often used to show our ancestral heritage. “To put down roots, “is widely used as a metaphor for a long-lasting relationship or a place to call home. They can be a reminder of a new beginning or a fresh start by turning over a new leaf. They can be a souvenir of our relationship with nature or a cue to remember our hopes and dreams. Whatever reason you choose to wear a tree or leaf jewellery make sure that it resonates from deep within you as it is important to remember we are all on our own spiritual path.💙🌍 To discover more jewellery with meaning, click the link in our bio 👉
