“Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.”
– Muhammad Ali
If a relationship suddenly comes to an end..
Over a mistake that someone else has made...
Or over of an incident that turned out to be dreadful..
Over a one time problem..
Then?..really..was that even an actual loss or a relationship ever to begin with?..
Since the very beginning? Was it ever actually real?
What happened with the art of forgiveness?
Or with the art of compassion and understanding?
How is it, that after all this time.. suddenly your no longer worth it to someone?..
Perhaps the relationship had grown too toxic..
Perhaps it became too much or to overwhelming for the person to handle..
Perhaps the person noticed that the friend or the partner wasn’t changing nor getting any better..
Sure that would make sense to create ones closure.
But what if they just lost interest? Or had grown too tired? What if they never really cared to begin with? And they had been just tolerating you this whole time out of sympathy?
Whatever it may be..
I once was taught..
that true love and true friends.. they don’t give up on you easily!..
they simply give you a bit more time to improve..
to see if that persons behaviour had changed for the better..
No excuse or a failed event would have really stopped a caring and genuine person from wanting you. Or at least holding on to you!
