Avoid wearing makeshift masks on your pets, as these masks may prevent them from dispelling heat from their mouths, which can lead to a heatstroke.
Instead, for concerned pawrents such as ourselves, you may want to consider bringing your pets out for only short toilet walks (should PSI reach 100 and above). In addition, have extra packs of pet-safe, non-alcoholic wipes, so you can wipe down any dust particles or irritants from your pets' skin and coat. Avoid bathing your pets too often, as that may lead to drier skin.
Lastly, remember to change water bowls frequently and to use eye drops/artificial tears to flush out potential eye irritants. It's important that both you and your pets stay safe, so always stay on top of the local PSI readings if your pets have existing respiratory and/or other health issues.
