Little facelift for a little garden bed. No proper “before” photo when it was full of the weeds that the housemate pulled out. I dug up and ripped out what I think was a Murraya from the top left corner as it was covered in sooty mould and just struggling in general. Mixed in some compost, gave it some fertiliser, planted a couple Agapanthus and native Violet for ground cover to help suppress any more weed growth, and mulched! Just a few more plants to chuck in to fill it out. I will also get rid of that Periwinkle once the housemate who likes the flowers sees that it’s just in the way hehe.. HOORAY FOR GARDENING!!! #gardening#gardens#brisbane#facelift#plants#plantlife#greenthumb#therapy
The scarlett runner beans are finally filling out the arch!! Now the weather has cooled there are lots of little pods forming everywhere. If you want to know how to grow these, check out my previous post on runner beans. They are also called seven-year beans as they will resprout on their own for many years to come!
I'm growing scarlett runner and sunset runner bean this year. Both produce such pretty flowers - I've planted them with a bit of distance between them as they will cross-pollinate and I am planning to save my own seeds. If they do cross I may get some interesting colour varieties which is not such a bad thing. Gardening is all about a bit of experimentation.

Just down the path from the Museum of Economic Botany in #AdelaideBotanicGarden , you'll find a large garden bed full of brightly coloured #Dahlia varieties. Some of them are almost as big as rockmelons!
Lovely place to play for a wedding 👰 🎩 yesterday, beautiful gardens🌳🌱💐 and awesome food display on a table aka chopping board, no need for plates #smartidea 💕

Foraging wild jujube this morning(a.k.a Bekul in Balinese) near my house in the north of Bali. So many fruits from this little tree and seems like no one bothered to pick it.. It’s my lucky day 😋🍀!!
