#ad When I first moved to Colorado years ago, I fell in love with the snow topped, wildly beautiful mountains and the river that flowed through. But what kept me here were the endless outdoor activities in our beautiful state and the amount of people who care about protecting it. We are all outdoor enthusiasts here, whether we are hiking, biking, camping, paddle boarding or fishing and hunting. This wild place is our playground, and we all share the same one.
I had a conversation with my client recently, it was her first time fishing but she already had an annual fishing license. She mentioned to me that she’s been buying one each year just because she knew the license fee’s were a vital part of protecting Colorado’s wildlife.
After our conversation, I wanted to know exactly how the revenue generated from fishing and hunting licenses benefits our state. Did you know that the revenue generated by hunting and fishing licenses helps protect, conserve and beautify Colorado’s 66 million acres of land? The funds allow us to protect water rights, conserve forests and open spaces, maintain the quality of our rivers and support wildlife habitats.
As outdoor enthusiasts, we have an essential role in helping Colorado thrive. So even if you don’t fish or hunt, chances are you’ve experienced all the beauty that this wild state has to offer.
Because that’s exactly what our state is. Wild... and by doing our part, we can help keep it that way.
Ah, the 5wt. Making 2lbers feel like 8’s. I taught myself how to fly fish 9 years ago now. Yes, that means I inherited some awful habits, but I stuck with it none the less. Mostly because I could shove it in my backpack when I traveled abroad. I don’t get to indulge in this sport save for a few times a year, but it’s a nice little change of pace. #onthefly

Kensie has loved fishing today with her new pole. I thought she might get bored after 30 mins, how wrong was I! Almost 4 and a half hours later and she didn’t want to come home. Bribery with chocolate was needed.
We caught 15 fish, and she even held them after the first one of two. So I’m sat here grinning like an idiot, have a proper proud Dad moment. ❤️❤️
